Absolutely terrible. Waited 40 minutes for my order then gave it to someone else who came in 15 minutes after me. Staff were surly and not helpful at all. Last time I come here for anything. Absolutely rubbish staff could do with some customer training

You know when the days been a real boiler and the wife's tired from her weeks endeavours, what wouldn't be nicer than traditional fish and chips for dinner... Today we sorted to have the hot meal delivered... Not all local fish and chips shops in the area do. We've sampled local chippys quite regular, but the polite and efficient service we received from Sankey's fish bar was exemplary. It was only surpassed by the excellent standard of the food. !! Delivery was within just ten minutes from ordering, and presented in individual boxes that kept the food piping hot. Both the fish and chips were top quality and well portioned too. We will definitely be returning for more... I can highly recommend Sankeys fish bar for any discerning fish shop lover.👍👍👍

Visited last night all staff very friendly an the food was amazing the kebab meat was very tasty an the chips were the best I’ve had yet will definitely be returning well done all at sankeys 👍

On a very basic level I would expect a chip shop owner to know the difference between cod and haddock. But this was not to be the case. . I specifically asked for cod and chips. When I got home I realised I'd been sold haddock. I don't like haddock. It went in the bin. One meal ruined. Thanks for that! I will never go to this shop again.

4 pm wanted an early tea and I have to say won’t be going again!! Chips were dried up and I don’t know what fish they use but not nice I haven’t been in a while but thought we would try it again and it will be the last time!!

After having always had great food from here the last two visits resulted in incorrect orders being received. However after talking to the staff about it who were genuinely sorry. I had a nice little discount off tonight's order. It was also perfect. Thanks sankeys fish shop. Great customer service

Called in on a Sunday evening as it is one of very few open on a Sunday. Fish chips and mushy peas. Went down a treat and was very tasty. Would recommend.

We ordered for delivery and a few items missed they called us to inform us before we had chance to call them. Under the circumstances and pressure they must be under we are very grateful and still enjoyed our tea 😋thank you so much and stay safe keep safe xxx

Always order off just eat. Takes over an hour for delivery. Chips can sometimes be greasy and no apology from them for the delay. Not always hot and probably been sitting there for a while waiting for delivery

Well we ordered 3 deferent meals got home and had a bag full of chips and not what we ordered cost £20 so please check your bag before leaving, I would have gone back but it was too far as my local is closed on a Sunday

From the moment we walked in they were all very friendly and happy to help us, all saying hello to our girls children, the lovely young lady gave them lollies & then were given free drinks whilst we waited for our food. As it was our first time in there we didn’t realise you have to order burgers one end and we had all ready ordered our cod & Saveloys so the lady put them behind the counter to keep warm whilst the burger was cooking which was very kind. The food was delicious and our daughters said it was the best chip shop ever! We will definitely return if we are in the area again :)

Not a lot to say realy because it is fish and chips in a chip shop, they do other food but it's an ordinary chippy food is ok.

Nice chips shame about the fish. I don’t know what happened because the food is usually good but today the fish was not very nice and it tasted watery and greasy. Hopefully it’s a one off because it is usually good food.

Visited here on a Saturday evening. Upon arrival I had a look at the menu on the illuminated overhead boards but I was drawn to the specials board - small fish and chips and a choice of sauce (I chose curry sauce) for £3.90. The fish was cooked nicely - crispy batter and succulent pieces of white fish inside. The chips were mostly good, there were a few too many bits in amongst it for my liking. The curry sauce was standard. The service was efficient as well, the wait for food was no longer than a few minutes despite there being a number of people in the queue. Overall, very nice and this place is a credit to Burntwood.

Thought we would have take away to save cooking , was a few people in there but not over busy had a kebab thats was not that good and large fish and chips when we started eating the fish was cold in the middle and raw uncooked chips weren’t too bad

Tried this chip shop for the 1st time as local to sporting event, I can honestly say they were the worst chips I've had in a long time/ever! Had about 10 chips and had to bin the rest!

Delivery,food arrived exactly on time,fish was lovely,fresh,and piping hot!,mushy peas were flipping lovely and I would quite happily eat them on there own with a bag of chips.

We run a Scout group and ordered a huge quantity of different meals. They arrived on time fresh and piping hot. Everyone commented on how nice the meals were. We will certainly use them again.

When I arrived I went to the back of the queue - I was now third - it was not busy - an assistant asked me what I wanted and I asked, as it was my first time, if I could try a piece of kebab meet. Another assistant barked at me that I had to order kebabs at the other end of the counter. So I went to the other end and the barking assistant appeared to tell me that it would be 5-10 minutes waiting time. Since I only like well done kebab meet it would have been nearer 15, so I decided against it... I had to rejoin the original queue, and wait. There were two people in front of me, then one, and I still waited and was ignored, so I left. They did not care a jot!

I would go out and say this is the best fish and chip shop. However it is the most expensive. It's great though as it is always open :-) it isn't one of these that opens 12-2 then closes till 5. Also open on a Sunday. Food is delicious too and never had a bad meal here..

Friendly staff member took my order, the fish and chips were very nice, crisp batter, and nicely cooked chips, the wife had a kebab with mixed meat, she said it was lovey, although this looks a busy chippy, you didn't feel rushed, 5***** for food and service, a credit to the local area.

We eat here most weeks, good feel atmosphere there, very welcoming, they even remember what you want. 10 out of 10 for me

Prices are fair. Food is not too greasy. Portions are large. Waiting time is never long. Clean and hygienic. Kebabs and Sausages are excellent.

Good wasting that warm, we ordered two pieces of chicken and only had one piece. The battered sausages felt like they had been kept warm for a long time due to the batter being rock hard. Normally get a good meal from here but today we were massively disappointed:(

Poor food quality, I asked for my lamb kebab meat to be cut into thin strips rather than chunks, the delivery driver handed me the bag of food and said, "you've got chunks because we was at the end of that lamb joint". So effectively you get what your given. Poor customer service and poor food quality. Will not be ordering again.

Sankays fish bar is our favourite fish and chips shop. Even the local people favourite as well. Food is always great. Reasonable price. Lots to choice as well from the menu.

Chips weren't very nice, cold and hard. No sauces on burgers as asked either. Kebab was yummy though.

We ordered a takeaway for delivery. Delivery was expected by 1925, in actual fact it turned up at 2010 nearly 2 hours after it was ordered. We called the takeaway after an hour and was told it was leaving then! When our food arrived it was cold, micro waved chips are vile! So ended up in the bin! Gutted!

Although it was a hour wait we were aware of this and suitable and happy with everything 😀😀

Good value fish & chips, portions are very often larger than required, serve less & drop the price, there are to many Fat People in UK, as much as you sell a British tradition, we don't all want Fat Guts.

Ordered the mixed meat didn't realise it didn't come without salad shame really it wasn't the same Didn't know I had too order salad separately

They rejected my order which was not a good start. Chips were almost warm. The same with the curry sauce. The fish was greasy. Have had nicer food from there previously

Had a phone call 30mins after we ordered to say that had no tikka, then was 40mins late from the delivery time. Some food was luke warm. Service is usually quite good but this let them down tonight.

Lo más fácil para una tienda de chips para conseguir derecho. . . . . patatas fritas! Por desgracia, este lugar falla cada vez. Hemos ido cuatro o cinco veces durante todo el año he hopefull de buen pescado y patatas fritas. No nos gusta y puede ahora ser firme que nunca volverás. Apretar las patatas fritas en de lo que sólo podemos asumir que es de suelo o piso y carece de tiempo gusto y otra vez.

First time of not been happy with the food . Chicken meat was overdone and sausage was like a bullet looked like it had been re warmed in fryer.

Delivery Took 25 mins longer than stated (1 hour 15 mins in total) Kebab meat was very fatty and sauce requested was not on there. Overall very disappointed. It has gone downhill in my opinion

Everything was spot on. Food Hot and delivered on time. Used online ordering with them for first time with special requests and got everything we asked for.

Not used this place for a long while ( hoped things had changed , so gave it another chance ) as disappointed as last time, dry, tasteless chips , and charged five quid for a small cod , ( mini fish ) , small chips, ( mebe a blessing in disguise , most were inedible , prob re-fried from lunchtime ( I ordered this at 8pm ) and curry sauce ( which was ok ) in a pot . Very disappointing , won't be back.

A large fish, priced at £4.80, was not much bigger than the mini-fish. When I asked why it was so expensive for such a small piece of fish I was told that was how much they pay for it. However, the layer of uncooked batter under the outer layer of cooked batter was appalling; for the price I would have at least expected high quality better! The sausage was as dry as a tea cloth, but the chips were goof. A very poor effort.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed, for the 1st time I did not enjoy my takeaway of a lamb kebab wrap, the wrap was very soggy & oily, the lamb was in chunks instead of strips, & each chunk of lamb had a big piece of fat to the side of it, didn't taste nice & couldn't eat it.

Lovely food, quick delivery, friendly driver and the staff in the restaurant are very polite. We requested extra sauce (chili and mayo) which I wished you had the option to on certain items on the takeaway menu. But fear not they went out of they're way to add the sauce and tweak the meal to how I wanted it via the description bar right about the bottom of the order before you confirm delivery. On a whole brilliant!

burger bun was burnt almost black. fish cakes were solid, dry, and cold, they snapped in half. vile food. never would we order again.
