I ordered via Lichfield Eats and had a large cod and small chips. I really enjoyed it, it was delicious however my throat started to swell and my tongue. I'm at a loss as to what caused the allergic reaction as my only allergy is nuts and it doesn't state nuts on the menu. Because of this I won't return here.

Rude staff kebab meat was under cooked and the meal I picked up for my friend was just as bad id never eat here again 🤮

Ordered for delivery and the food is delivered quickly and is lovely from the traditional fish & chips to the pizzas.

Genuinely THE BEST fish I’ve had here! Every other chippys batter is soggy and not great but this one was so crispy and not greasy at all! Would’ve liked the chips to have been cooked more as they were on the pale side but that’s just personal preference I suppose. Husband had a pizza and it was also fantastic! Would get again for sure

Popped I for something quick to eat and was so impressed with how clean the shop was to start with. The owner was friendly and was able to help us out with our fussy eater. There is a large menu, and then we saw the pizza menu, and they are cheap £12.50 for an 18" pizza, amazing value, and gutted we didn't see it first. Food was yummy and would definitely go back when we are in the area 😋

Very friendly staff, I had sausage and chips with curry sauce, chips could do with cooking a tiny bit more but the sausage and the sauce was very good, next time I got I’ll definitely order a pizza and dough balls

Ordered six items to collect. Chips were stone cold and dried up. One of the items was missing. Terrible service.

There are better chip shops nearby. The chips are not good at all and I have visited this chip shop more than once to give them the benefit of the doubt but try it for yourself and you will see the chips are dry and well ..... there just no good and then tey another chip shop maybe the Netherstowe chip shop which is a 10 minute walk or 2 minutes by CST away. Try there chips and you will see what I mean about the quality

Ordered food in advance the last 2 week ends Collection time for 19:00 I went to collect they were looking for my order Which they had not done had to wait while they did it There were 5 people behind the counter When I got home and unpacked the food The kebab was just meat no salad When I phoned up they read my order back to me surely enough I had ordered salad no sauce! They offered to deliver the salad but as we were ready to eat waiting for the delivery was not an option as food would have been cold No apologies were offered just a statement What do you expect me to do! This is not acceptable 2 last orders not being correct It was a better service when only 2 people were behind the counter It’s a shame as the food I’d good!

The staff look dead miserable like they dont wana be there the pizza dint really look like a pizza looked like something for a kids meal the burger and chips chips wer ok but the burger bun was awfull cheap bun from aldi pak for 12 or something get decent burger buns please chilli sause tasted something out of a supermarket cheap brand make ur own with quality wont be going era agina

I have been coming here now for a couple of years now, the food is always great. The Pizzas are always amazing! I mean seriously amazing! The biggest are huge and well worth money. The Kebabs are generous and they have loads of sauces to chose from (extra hot is my favourite) The pies, fish and chips always fresh and very tasty.

Amazing Chicken Kebab. We had one each in Naan bread which is cooked fresh in the oven. It was £5 each and we had an overwhelming amount of food each. We don’t usually eat kebabs but we fancied it that night and now I can’t wait for our next one! Super speedy at serving us too!

Beautiful chips and a very generous portion at that!!! Great service, great food and a very hardworking, smiley, intelligent and chatty lady behind the counter made all her customers smile and chat with her too. Highly recommended!!!

I have been several times to this fish bar. That in itself is good recommendation. They do, amongst other things, Mini cod and chips with either minted mushy peas, curry sauce or gravy for THREE POUNDS FOURTY NINE pence. They also unrecoverable oil, which is changed frequently, so slightly healthier than the oils other fish and chip shops use. Hence the food is not greasy. Personally, I love the minted mushy peas! Another good point is that the staff are very friendly, always have a smile for you. Very polite and professional. Even asking for mini portions, there is plenty of chips. A normal portion for me and my husband is far too much. But it's everyone to their own taste. I cannot speak highly enough of the Valley Fish Bar. Excellent and spotless.

Chips good (not to greasy), paper trays and bag ( no plastic - well done), cone of chips not in cone, curry sauce more like gravy. Overall would go back again...

The worst fish & chips I have ever had. The chips had obviously been cooked a long time beforehand, also the fish was not freshly cooked. A shame as I know they can make nice fish and chips but let their standards drop badly on this occasion. Very disappointed and will not be going back.

Fish and chips here were awful, really tasteless chips and fish was smelly, and fish shouldn’t smell like that unless it’s old. There are much better places close by. Can’t talk for the other food this place does only fish and chips

Sorry to be negative but been here twice as it’s close to where I work and both times I’ve found the food really bad. Don’t know how you can screw up chips but they are too hard and totally tasteless. Definitely won’t be going back for a 3rd time. I actually think they are the worst chips I have ever had from a chippy.

We found the Valley. Fish bar whilst driving from Bolton to Stratford upon Avon for a weekend break, after driving on the A51 for a few hours,it was a welcome sight, We ordered small fish and chips for 2 and drinks, which arrived and we purchased. When we got back to the car and unwrapped our purchase we were amazed to see, that not only the meal was fine, but that it had been served in cardboard trays, and wrapped in a brown paper bag, instead of the usual plastic carrier bag, well done the Valley chippy, you should be proud of yourselves other businesses take note, and the fish and chips were good. Thank you.

This chippy is by far the best chippy I've ever been to, everything is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and friendly.

My daughter and myself whilst taking the dog for a walk, went to the chip shop with the intension of getting Fish and chip suppers for the 3 of us. The chip shop was like a youth club with young people hanging around inside. Not buying anything. The owners were not discouraging them,as they were chatting with them. My daughter felt intimidated by them so would not enter the premises or wait while I did. If the owners want a youth club get one not a chip shop. Its losing them trade.

Shocking excuse for kebab meat and the chips were very very poor. Won't be going again.

I ordered a Pizza by phone, I was told it would be 45 minutes as they were busy. I turned up and it was bang on time When I got home, my wife and I tucked in to one of the best pizzas ever. A 18” Meat feast with extra chillies £14.00 a real bargain that was so tasty.

Not easy to find - but worth the effort! This serves the best fish and chips I have tasted in a 20 mile radius and we traveled for 30 minutes to get food from here.

Best pizza we've found in UK so far, and great value for money. They make it fresh in front of you which is a bonus and makes the 10 mins of waiting time well worth it. Would highly recommend this place for pizza 😊.

Simons a g and his bird is hard. Rate the chippy. The chips definitely ain't hard n cheap, they're high quality potatoes grown in our own country and they're exsqusite. The other selections of meat are peng n from the highest food suppliers across the country. The coke is good too. I recommend chips, the gravy/curry sauce with cheese on the top, but fyi; bring your own fork, simons bird ordered the wrong ones and they can't handle the cheesey chips. Pizza is the best round town.

Used to be an incredible fish and chip shop with friendly staff, quick service and delicious food. Now, since new owners have taken over the service is absolutely appalling. The long wait for the food now is ridiculous. Not to mention, the food is hard and dry. The staff are not welcoming and bicker in front of customers. Will not waste any money there again.

El pescado es de buena calidad y no una gran variedad de alimentos con diferentes ofertas. Nuestro único problema fue que durante los períodos el personal intentaba ayudar mutuamente con los pedidos y nos dieron nuestra pedidos mal algunas veces. Sin embargo, se disculparon, resolvió y nos dieron un reembolso. Recientemente parece que han aprendido de sus errores y asegurarse de que mantener a sus órdenes.

Terrible chips, hard and terrible cheap quality sausage avoid

Parado en mi camino a casa desde el trabajo... Se notaba que el pescado estaba recién hecho como era suculento. El bateador era extremadamente crujientes fue cocinado a la perfección. Las patatas fritas eran preciosas y no demasiado grasiento.

Called in tonight early doors at 5.15, Asked for haddock chips and curry sauce... was asked if I wanted large and said yes, as last time was given mini everything when ordered the same..... was served large chips and curry sauce, and boxed up couldn't be bothered to correct (no fish).. Chips dry, didn't expect very fresh as it was early evening and think open all afternoon (chips probably been hanging around a while). Won't bother again, nobody else in, not surprised... £3.70 for large dry chips and small curry sauce. Nothing wrong with the curry sauce to be fair. Majority of it in the bin...

We were the only people in the chip shop and yet we were there for around 15 minutes whilst they took their time collecting our food. They were so unorganised it was unreal. By the time we got the food home most of it was cold because they left it on the side as they got the rest of our order. The kebab meat was fatty, far too thick and pretty tasteless and I believe the chips must have been cooked from cheap nasty potatoes. Definitely won't be returning.

Made a flying visit to The Valley Fish Bar, straight off my train. The staff at were very accommodating and the food was of a very high standard. I would recommend the chicken calzone to anyone on their next trip. Bella Italia are getting a run for their money

By far the best fish and chips in Lichfield. Always fresh and always served with a smile and friendly faces. Super clean too. They have the best minted mushy peas and authentic curry sauce! Nothing ever seems too much trouble either. Happy to recommend! :-)

My husband and I are "regulars" at the Valley Fish Bar and we never left feeling anything but extremely satisfied. The owners are very friendly and you can tell that they are passionate about fresh produce which makes all the difference. Very reasonably priced, good food, excellent customer service!

Although 40p is expensive for scallops compared to the chippy i normally use, I fancied a snack after getting the bus from gym and thought I'd try this establishment so tried their scallops. They tasted out of this world! Also very friendly staff & received great customer service :D

The last time (some time ago admittedly) we used this fish and chip shop we were very disappointed. Last week, following a long journey from Kent for a family visit, we decided to give the shop another try as it is just around the corner and nobody felt like cooking. Our fish was freshly cooked, the chips were lovely and crisp (shows the oils clean and fresh) and my husband was very impressed with the mushy peas - you could smell the mint in them, very appetising. The surroundings and food area were spotless and the staff very friendly. No doubt we will be going back again before we go home. I wish the young couple who run the business all the best, they're a credit to the food industry.

Agree with Lichfield68, the best chip shop in Lichfield, fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes are good too, always order the small chips as the haddock is so large can never eat all the chips !!

Been looking for a fish and chip shop of this quality since i left Brum to live here a couple of years ago . None ever made the mark until My Partner and i stumbled across this place last night...Food was superb ...chips were fantastic and the mushy peas had a hint of mint ...not the tasteless watery stuff you often get served these days..A lovely chatty young couple served us which makes a lot of difference when you have to wait for take away food....all at a reasonable price...we will be going back !

i was really disappointed and felt like i had been robbed i ordered medium size chip's costing £1.70 which was that small it would not have even fed a small child.the large chicken kebab costing £4.50 was a complete and utter let down by this i mean it was that small it had hardly any chicken meat in the pitta bread which the pitta bread was that small it was shocking, i ate it in 3 bites i would not recommend this to anyone its absolute rip off!!!!!
