never had a bad fish and chips from the Mermaid, always been great 👍 . still nice and hot when arrived 😁

Take away fish finger sandwich, crab sandwich and chips were utterly divine. Clearly prepared with respect for the seafood. Had to wait for 10 minutes as they prepare the food when ordered. Brilliant.

Ordered battered sausage and chips for takeaway. Service was good but the food wasn't great. One sausage was OK the other was hard and tasted strange, like it was old and re fried. The chips also seemed stale. Hugely disappointed, don't think I will be back

The first time here. God knows why because I go past here everyday to and from work! Excellent food: crispy fish with no soggy bottom and beautiful chips. Will definitely go there again!

Very fresh muscles, oyster and lobster. Atmosphere is relaxing. Staff are very friendly. Good for a couple or a group of friends or even want to meet some new friends.

I've been visiting Sky High Fish Bar since childhood, and it remains a standout. The family-run establishment is always welcoming, offering delicious food with impressive efficiency. It's also very affordable, especially compared to other fish and chip shops in the area. A large cod and chips costs just £10, which is fantastic value. The current staff are lovely and provide excellent service. I highly recommend Sky High Fish Bar.

We stayed in Bath two nights and ate at Portofino three times! We liked it that much. The food is excellent (I lived in Italy for ten years and thought it was very authentic), the helpings are generous and the wine selection is good. The staff were attentive. Thank you Portofino!

No food turned up and I would like a fall refund

I went here yesterday for a sneaky battered sausage and chips, it was the best I've ever had! Chips were done to perfection, the battered sausage to perfection and the portion size was spot on! Plus the two guys in there were friendly! I highly recommend this place and will go there again and again I'm sure 😋
