Food was lovely and the pineapple fritters were so tasty.

Wonderful fish and chips which we ate in the restaurant. The service was excellent and the staff delightful. Would highly recommend. Sadly we are not local but hope to visit again.

Best cod and chips so far.....and I been to Harbour Lights in Falmouth and the Chinese chippy in Chesham. The batter was firm and crispy and the cod just melted in my mouth. Chips were crunchy/crispy and the whole meal was savoured👍👍

I really don't understand all the positive reviews of this Fish 'n' Chip shop. The food is OK, but certainly no better than average. The ambience is below standard and the staff are rather distant. The prices are nothing short of extortion. Overall, this can't possibly rate above a 2/5. I wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.

I only went in for a takeaway but I was served by a very friendly young man, not sure how young but compared to me he was, anyway, I digress, I order ed Cods-roe, I only had a short wait to get my order, good chips, nice and chunky, would I go there again? Yes I think I would 😁

Called in for fish'n'chips.Fish was decent,large and tasty but chips awful,dry like oven baked,tesco ketchup, poor quality tartar sauce and funny size pickled onion didn't make me feel to come back again,Quite pricey as well compared to what we've been served...sorry guys but it's NO from me.Best of luck!

Better than you'll get in many restaurants. Cooked fresh. Friendly staff. Just a shame that you can only pay with cash, not cards.

The two portions of chips that I bought this evening were not at all tasty, not recommendable at all.Cannot judge on the rest of the food available.Quite expensive too.

Never used this place before and doubt I will return. Asked for a large cod and small chips. I Was advised that the fish is cooked to order and that a 5 minute wait would apply. I waited and was given my food within the 5 minutes. Made a 5 minute drive home and opened my food to find an awful example of fish cod . Not.only was it last flat as though it had been stood in , it was also.dripping in oil. There was no taste other than oil and i only ate a few fork fulls....Next time.i drive to Amersham or wendover for cod and chips. Chips were acceptable as was the service but the fish !! Possibly one of the worst I have ever had ! ..i dont enjoy listing bad feedback but that's the way it was for me and i wont be chancing again !

If you want fish and chips, this is the place to go. We had pie and chips with battered sausage. The food was good and hot. The dining area was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and helpful. This restaurant is just off the side from the main road but very easy to see. We parked in the main car park at it was fairly late and free.

Always great food and made to feel welcome by the staff who have been there for years. The best fish and chips by far! Crispy never greasy, generous portions of fish. If you have the regular they skin it so if like myself you don't like skin its great you can eat all the batter without picking through it! Chicken ,sausages etc all good too. You can dine in if you wish no they've relaxed on covid regs. We prefer too as the foods even crisper as hasn't sweated in paper wrapping for the takeaway option. Which if locals not a problem still good by time we get it home but eating in you can have side salad etc and no washing up!

Stopped here a couple of weeks ago on our way home to avoid having to cook. Don't usually buy fish and chips anymore as it is usually disappointing with tasteless, flat, thick battered fish and soggy chips. This place was amazing ... keep up the standard guys!! Delicious tasty fish, lightly battered and good chips too. Think it is a good idea to call to place your order as it is very busy. Thoroughly recommend for both rock and cod, we have been back twice.

Ate in - service unremarkable, no discussion, no enquiry about was the food ok?, essentially its a takeaway with a few tables but don't expect service if you eat in, just have it put in front of you - they even served mushy peas in a polystyrene cup at the table rather than a ceramic dish. Average fish , flat unfluffy batter, greasy with oil residue on the plate, Large cod portion not large compared to some of the best fish and chip restaurants a few miles away in Pinner & North Harrow. Tea served in a mug with the tea bag still in the water and milk, not a pot. Cash Only - why ? other than to help to cook the books, this practise always makes me wonder else might be less than legitimate.

I was passing through Amersham area, so stopped here, ordered a Medium Cod. There were 2 guys in the shop, one grumpy whom served me and one sat down whom was running what sounded like a stand up comedy show via a video call on a phone. He was so loud, that it was unprofessional. The guy whom served me wasn't interested. I asked for the cod batter to be crispy when i ordered. His was response was 'Cash Only' what relevance this had to my order spec i don't know, when there is a clear sign. Anyway the stand up show went on in the background for a while, 12 minutes later the fish was ready, no offer of salt 'n' vinegar or any thing for that matter, just a side order of grumpy which was complementary. He wrapped the fish up, to when i had to ask him to put s&v on it, to which he unwillingly unwrapped it, threw so little on, you would think it was on short supply, wrapped it up threw it on the counter and walked off to answer the phone. I asked for a chip fork and i was ignored over the phone. Maybe it was time for the next stand up show? I wish i had bought tickets... By the way, it was the most expensive cod i had ever bought and turned out to soggy batter and overcooked fish at either end. Never again. There has to be better nearby, as service with a smile isn't included within the over inflated prices.

We had two medium cod (which were massive) and one chips + mushy peas. Excellent value for money @ £15.80. Cod was freshly cooked while we waited; very light crispy batter. Chips good too. Will certainly make this our local chippy.

Really nice guys and the food is always great - usually cooked to order. Large portions. Be prepared to queue in the evening, especially on a Friday. The sign of a good chippy!

Thisi is an establishment where you can either eat in or out. Portions are big and cod beautiful with excellent chips. Staff very friendly and efficient. Food is freshly cooked and is due to the turnover they have!

Visited today with a friend on his strong recommendation that these were the best fish and chips for miles around.. so I agreed to go along and try them OMG he was right !! 2 medium fried Cod (nothing special) 1 chicken burger, 3 chips (very nice), 3 cans of coke, 2 mashy peas and a curry sauce £34.40? Gordon Ramsey would have charged me less for a two course meal 🤷‍♂️

Came here after my local chippie closed, it's a short drive (maybe five minutes) but well worth it. I understand that this restaurant has been owned and run by the same people for many years and it shows. The food was up to my expectations and beyond. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. If you want to eat in, there are plenty of tables. The interior and counter/cooking area are spotlessly clean. The perfect example of what a local fish and chip shiop should be like.

Nice humble fish n chips in the area. Very clean and fresh with big and generous portions. Chips are from cut real potatoes so a plus. Fish is fresh and crispy with different variety for your taste but cod is more popular as expected. Nice quick service with friendly staff and good parking options nearby makes it good place to eat or take away. One of those places where you can't go wrong.

Ordered a few sausage and chip meals on the phone Asked for the price on the phone and was told just bring £20 that will cover it Customer service is clearly outstanding (sarcasm) Sausages was nice Chips was as dry as ghandi's flip flop Curry sauce was more watery than water itself Wont be coming here again, i think i will try amersham fish bar next time which is no longer than 5 min drive!

Was meant to come to £3.30 but they decided to charge me £3.70 instead. They have done this several times in the past, thinking they can get away with it because I am young. Definitely won't be coming here again - the Mangal Express next door has better food and more friendly staff and they never overcharge you

Lovely staff but after waiting an hour for 2 sausages and chips I spoke up! All of a sudden my dinner was ready! One sausage ready last week and the other will be ready next week.
