wasn't impressed with the piece of cod I got, it should've been called small cod not standard at £10.60 a bit expensive for the size of it.

Ordered a gluten free cod and chips too take away. Got it home and the fish was burnt , chips were mediocre not fresh

This is without a doubt the best fish and chips place in Kent. But and it's a hell of a but one of the staff is an absolute nightmare. Went a couple of weeks ago and asked for gluten free. On a gluten free day. What did you say she asked. Ordered and got a fantastic meal but seriously kissed off with having to ask twice. Went back today and deliberately asked to place a gluten free order to be asked what I wanted 3 of. Said thank you and walked out. If you have the time and energy to ask for everything twice knowing that you have spoken slowly and clearly the first time you will have a great meal. But if you hate being taken for an idiot give it a swerve. Seriously, she is taking the kiss out of your customer's and many are noticing.

Used to be our 'go to' fish and chip retail source - but after yesterday's experience, we could be looking elsewhere! Quite the worst fish and chip meal we've ever had from Catch. Both my haddock and my Mrs. cod was rubbery, (probably cooked too long or kept warm too long) with far too much batter. The only saving grace was the mushy peas - but then there wasn't enough decent fish to eat them with ! Definitely only a 3/10.

Food was nice but I got home opened the boxes and the piece of fish was literally hiding the chips. I mean I know prices are high and times are hard but if I paying over 30 pounds for 2 adults and 1 child 1 toddler I expect to eat a meal not a snack.

The staff are very friendly, especially the very petite looking manager ( I think his name is Kev), foods always been fantastic and believe me when I say I have made my way through the menu.

Order collection. Had to wait 1hr for collection, Chips were half cooked and soggy . One of our items was missing when we unpacked the food. Food was luke warm. Had to put it in my airfryer to make it warm enough. Very disappointing for £30 worth of food. Won't be returning again.

Lovely food but the atmosphere in this place lets it down. They have a 'Covid screen' up so the staff can't hear the customers and customers can't hear the staff. Not helped by a really loud refrigeration system. Not the most pleasant experience.

I ordered gluten free cod and chips. When it arrived it was nice and hot and the cod was lovely but the chips were disgusting. They were all small crunchy bits some over cooked and to be honest, the were inedible. We paid £30+ for this and 2 large Sausages and 1 regular chips. I’m sorry to complain but I felt I had to say something.

I wonder about this place. It appears they cook everything to order. Which, I understand has its benefits, but does mean you wait a long time. I waited 15 minutes for an order of chips today. I could perhaps understand making the fish or burgers, sausages fresh. But you'd think chips were a given and the wait time would be the 30 seconds ot takes to scrape the latest batch into a box

Had takeaways from here now for about the 3/4th time, and every time I’m flabbergasted at how nice the food is. The fish is not over battered like most chippies, the chips are lovely and crisp, and buttery on the inside. If I could give more stars I would I would rate this as the best fish and chips in the UK

This place is fabulous for our family gathering, 12 of us. As we can order early & last family member passing, picks it up. Good value & generous portions.

I preordered my meal for my husbands birthday at 16.30 for delivery at 18.15, I didn’t receive my food delivery until 18.38 very embarrassing.

It's a shopping mall, main shop former Debenhams still empty. Looks boring and clinical, staff all look miserable.

The Fish was cooked to perfection in a very tasty batter lovely vup of tea and friendly service.

Arrived cold. Batter was chewy on the fish and not a lot of chips. Disappointing as read good reviews. Also slow delivery 1hr.

'PERFECT' haddock and chips. Traditional chunky real potato chips with properly fresh fish (texture + taste spot on) in lovely batter all cooked to perfection in totally fresh oils - Class! Plus - and so important - this Just-Eat's swift delivery gave this (IMO) 'the best fish n chip shop' in Ashford - Catch @ Eureka Place - it's due presentation. A perfectly prepared, cooked, and delivered while still properly fresh and hot, meal - Thanks all, (obvs, Catch Fish and Chips people for such great food but also for the Just-Eat's quick delivery so the food was still so good!) !!!

The BEST chip shop in ashford! They offer GF Wednesdays and Saturdays! I cannot recommend them highly enough their food is delicious tasting of quality and flavour :)

Absolutely awful service. Ordered a very simple order and came away with 1 portion of chips out of 5 ordered, along with fish and scampi. Drove all the way there, ordered and paid to arrive home with less than half the order. Phoned to see what they’d do to rectify this - to be told we’re wrong, not sure what happened to “customer is always right.” Order was not listened to and no customer service offered. Staff training required here on basic customer service…having looked at previous reviews it seems there are a lot of people having similar issues. I’d go to ashford town or lenham for chips!

Catch Fish and Chips is a great Fish and Chip shop. We use them regularly on Gluten free nights. We order using their app and the food is always waiting when we arrive to collect. We always get great food and great service.

Bought a large cod and chips twice now to find very little cod !? , it was batter with a touch of cod and at that price absolutely ridiculous .

10/10. I popped down while walking my dog this evening for haddock and chips. Despite being busy, the service was excellent. Piping hot food, clear batter- excellent. Thank you!

Overall this was a good experience. There were however a couple of disappointments. The standard cod was very small. The price was no different to other outlets but the portion was half the size. The chips were also a let down. Very light golden in colour indicated they had come out of the fryer a little too soon. As a consequence they were a soggy mess and had to be rescued with a short spell under the grill. There were some real positives, good service - no wait for a collection, a nice smart clean shop, and excellent homemade Tartare sauce. In the end the value for money was not as good as other chippies.

Second week in a row / ordered 2 cod and 1 potion of chips with Just Eat on Friday evening / received 1 cod and a potion of chips; missing 1 cod again. Food was actually good but will not order from them again. If we cannot get a refund from Just Eat we are about £20 out of pocket

I’ve heard good things about this place so I tried it out for my first time on a Monday evening, and let me tell you, this won’t be my last! Firstly I must say how clean this place is, no surprise of their 5 star health and and hygiene rating. You can watch your food be prepared over the counter, and was served up in no time. The staff over the counter were lovely and showed an interest speaking to me whilst I waited. I’m not sure what the fish trade is like on Mondays but this place seemed pretty busy whilst I was there, around 5 different groups of people popping in whilst I was waiting. I think they also do deliveries. I was ordering on behalf of myself and a few friends, we ordered some chicken balls, sausage, a few pies, some fish and of course chips. I’m still surprised at how little this cost me because the food is clearly fresh. Brilliant quality (in particularly the fish) I will certainly be back soon. Thanks a lot to the team at Catch, we are certainly satisfied customers!!

Thank you to all the staff last night. Being National Fish & Chip day it was extremely busy with pre orders and walk ins. I had a little wait on my collection but everyone was patient, the staff apologetic and very polite. Well done on a tough night. Our fish and chips were lovely and hot - thank you 🙂.

After ordering the food then waiting 20 mins for it when we got there it was all cold. Chips look and tasted like they had been reheated from lunch. Even mushy peas were cold. Won't be going back there again, not worth the inflated price we paid!

Phoned in 25 minutes previously for an order, turned up on time and waited for another 20 minutes while Just Eat given priority. Had to ask for my order again. Poor service

we decided to try Catch today as we've heard great things about it! unfortunately due to staffing issues and a miscommunication we ended up waiting in total 55 mins for our food (collection) but the lady was very apologetic and cooked us fresh food and it was worth it! great fresh food and generous portions! we'll definitely be back.

Won’t be back in a hurry! I waited 15mins for a bag of chips when I was the only customer in the shop and had to wait while the server made up all the telephone orders first. If I hadn’t already paid I would have walked out. Mine would have taken seconds to wrap up. It wasn’t a busy time and there were 2 others working in there. Ridiculous.

At nearly £10 the three cod portions they where pathetic not enough to fill up my tiny 10 year old, salt and pepper squid again at nearly £8 was tiny and tasted of neither salt or pepper, oh and missing a portion of whitebait, £58 for 4 people and all still hungry isn’t good

The delivery guy had no idea where he was going despite my giving him directions by phone. Not impressed. Food from Catch was excellent as always.

Took over an hour and a half to deliver. Food arrived cold and soggy.

Curry roll was burnt on the outside and the inside was hard and dry. Fishcake was also burnt. Very disappointed as Catch has always been our favourite fish & chip shop.
