Went to the Fish Bar yesterday for the first time. Lovely food. I won’t be going anywhere else from now on. Thank you I really enjoyed my Sausage and chips.

They still have an old menu up online with medium cod and chips at £5.90 I just bought the same and price has increased to £8.10 .Fish was two fish tails side by side and overcooked and chips were undercooked and a bit cold . I think the shop has changed hands in recent months but higher prices and poorer quality does nothing to convince me to return.

Lived here for over 10 years and always had good food. Portions are massive. I hope those people that didn’t have the expectations met, spoke to a member of staff, as we’ve always found this to be the best within 5 miles👍

The Fish and Chips were excellent, service was fast and the staff friendly. Food was cheaper than I expected.

I used to love this place now it seems to have changed hands. Chips were rubbish looks and tastes like they have been left in the warmer and overcooked. Will be looking at a new chippy

This was the best little chippy in the area. However it is under new management. Visited last night (19 Jul 23) to get a fish and chip supper for the beach. Must say it's not as good as it used to be. The chips were OK but much smaller portions and anything deep fried (other than the chips) was very fatty and greasy which was not apertising. Let's see if it improves or its off to the chippy in Blackfield!!!

Excellent chip shop, always wondered why they sometimes Q outside. We stopped by on route to Calshot one day, (I drone film cruise ships hence always passing) mainly as they have good parking and I drive a silly large American pick up truck lol!! and its on the way, 5 mins to beach from here. Food is really good, always a 5-10 min wait but price you pay for fresh cooked so no complaints. But now if kids or wife aboard I'm ordered to stop off, which is fine but I'm tight as a ducks..... need fuel money.. But also to point out its far more than the average chippy the menu is huge, something for everyone. I don't give 5 star that often and I'm a grumpy old tw.... so yes, recommend... Sorry no photo... its a chip shop.. but have a cruise ship passing Calshot, maybe I should come and drone shot the chippy 🤣🤣🤣 Update: still a fantastic chippy as of 18th June 2023...

Have been here a few times. Every time, the staff were friendly and the service was pretty fast, even though it's been quite busy each time. Another good thing they do is that they read out your order as they place each item in the bag, making sure you get the right order before you leave.

Have been getting cod and chips every Monday for a while now and each time I can't fault them ! Delicious

Ordered lunch special fish and chips for £4.50 (Feb 2023). I wasn’t expecting a huge piece of fish, but the fish was a decent size and freshly fried. Not a huge quantity of chips, but adequate for a lunch special, and very tasty. Definitely will visit again when visiting.

Very generous portions = excellent value for money. Fast, fresh and never disappointed.

Stopped here last night for the first time, Really clean place the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was amazingly good, tried my first deep fried mars bar which was delicious

3.5/5. Visited 5 times over a 6 week period as was my local chippy. 1st visit fish and chips everything amazing. Cod was chunky fillet chips was cooked to perfection. well what happened from my first visit i have no idea. I ordered kebab and chips Donner. Donner was dry not much chili sauce and garlic mayo hardly any. So a quite dry kebab. So i changed my order 3rd visit to fish and chips. The fish not the same as the first visit lots of batter, lots of oil not much fillet. Chips tasted re cooked not fresh. Again i go kebab and chips again no sauce well hardly any when i asked specifically for plenty . Again i go i order fish and chips plenty of salt and vinegar. Comes with zero vinegar and little salt. Rushing i suspect!..... I order today sausage and batter chips curry Sauce and chips very very poor. curry sauce was possibly worst ever had and chips again can not get basic salt and vinegar correct. Chips not fresh tasting no crunch to the bite. Very very disappointed from a 5 star my first visit to a 2.5 to my last visit so overall a 3.5 out of 5. Sorry guys you need to improve. Instead of rushing the order take ride and care in what the customer actually asks for. Extremely disappointed as my first visit you left my high expectations to my last visit re cooked tasting not fresh chips to a very watery curry sauce.

Moved here three years ago and tried here then. It wasn't very good so put use off! Tried them again this weekend with friends staying and three large cod and chips was superb!! We were so impressed we ordered the same again on bank holiday Monday. It was delicious yes again. 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Never usually have a problem with this place, but when you are over looked in the queue and they continue to serve 5 more customers behind you then I believe this is lack of customer service. Maybe I have just turned up on a day when there employees have had enough off customers

Often visit Calshot campsite with our motorhome and have gone to this fish and chip shop several times now.We always have a beautiful meal, fresh moist tasty tender and chunky fish with nice light batter lovely chips and generous portions. Never let us down yet on quality and flavour.They have a really vast menu including curry and jacket potatoes if you prefer a healthier option. This has to be one of my all time favourite fish and chip shops.

Very good fish and chip shop with a massive menu... I couldn't resist the Spam Fritter, fish cake and chips, pure heaven... I was nearly tempted by the battered black pudding or batter haggis also but stuck with the old faithful Spam... Would definitely visit again if in the area

As always a must have fish and chip stop off after a lovely day at Calshot Beach. Every time the fish is cooked to perfection. The staff are really friendly, a great covid policy in place and you can use your card for payment.

The fish and chips were cooked to perfection and the three of us found the portions to be of a good size. This Fish Bar was ideally located for a takeaway while we stayed at the Calshot Camping and Caravan Site.

Always stop off here when heading to Calshot or Lepe Beach. Good quality fish and chips, plus anything else you can get from a chippy. Service is always pukka. 👌
