Had a fantastic fish and chips lunch from Golden Fish Bar today! The fish was perfectly cooked - crispy batter and lovely white flakes inside. Chips were just the right amount of golden and fluffy. Definitely recommend if you're in Queenborough and looking for a classic chippy! Staff is also brilliant love boss man he is a very friendly person!

This is the BEST Fish & Chip Shop by far on the Isle of Sheppey, always cooked fresh & quality is excellent and so are the prices, compared from Berkshire. Been here a regular customer for the last 3 years every week.

Staying in a hotel near here with a friend and are quite limited to eating as don't know the area that well. Came here during our visit and oh WOW I've never had battered mushrooms before and my gosh they were to die for. Light crispy juicy mushrooms. I'm here again next week and will absolutely be coming in for some more of those.. One portion of chips between two is moreeeee than enough we were stuffed. But battered mushrooms you've won't my heart !!

Came across the chips shop when out for a drive one night and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Really friendly staff, excellent portions and sooooo tasty 😋 Been back a few times now and drive out of our way to get this. Delicious every time

Always rated this place for fish and chips, especially the pensioners portions. However this last visit, not only did we have to wait far too long (I think they forgot about us as people coming in ordering the same thing we’re served before us), when we got the fish and chips back home, there was more batter than fish and we disposed of a lot of it. Disappointing as it has anyways been excellent in the past and the staff are really pleasant.

Popped in for a quick Friday night treat for the Family and I on the way home. Don’t usually do a review but felt I should as I am a regular customer. Paper fell apart before getting home due to how greasy everything was. Hardly any salt and vinegar on our meals despite asking. Young lady that served us was very rude. As a regular customer I will think twice next time before going in.

Its usually very busy teatime 5-7pm, so I phone my order through & they give you an order number & its normally ready by the time I get there, & it is always worth the drive as its not that local to me. I always have Haddock & chips & it is always delicious.

Been looking for a good fish n chip shop since the one in Leysdown changed hands - went tonight for the 1st time and they allowed me to have the oap special as I don’t eat that much. It was superb- crispy batter, lovely white fresh fish and chips were lovely too. I know I will be going there from now on.

Cod & chips from here is fantastic, chips are so tasty & batter is perfect. Expect a wait as its popular & restricted to 2 people in shop. Prices are moderate, staff are polite & friendly.

Had 4 portions of cod and chips yesterday and we couldn't fault any of them, it's the first time in years due to bad experiences that we've had a chippy lunch and it was absolutely delicious 😋 we will definitely be back, friendly and prompt service too x

New to the area, this has to be one of the best Fish'n'Chips shops around. Good Value, freshly cooked and tastes great. Now a weekly regular customer. A gem of place, is busy at times especially Friday nights but worth the wait.

This place used to be best on island , until it changed hands , cost me £18 for medium cod n chips n large cod n chips . The cod was hollow inside batter so was smaller than it looked and very dry where it was in heater cabinet for so long , chips were rock hard and inedible , avoid this place like the plague , as your wasting your money

We brought fish and chips on Saturday. Was lovely fish was cooked once ordered. Wooow the chips was massive. We was all impressed by how lovely they was. The gentlemen was really friendly and kind.

This is a lovely place for your standard chippy food. The food is really nice especially the chips, always so fresh! The guys who work in there are really friendly and kind. I use this chip shop a lot as I am local to it. Cant fault them.

After a refurb due to a fire this "chippy" has re-opened as a much improved eatery. The fish and chips here are excellent.

These are the best we've had for a long time. Delicious. Friendly service. Highly recommended. We always take these down to the harbour and enjoy them with a pint from the House at Home pub.

Popped in to this fish and chip shop one evening and were delighted with the food and service. The fish and chips were freshly cooked, not greasy and beautifully crisp. The service was excellent, friendly staff and quick service.

We visited this chip shop for a lunch whilst out and about and weren’t disappointed. There is an extensive menu, it’s reasonably priced, very fresh and they do a range of kids meals....it’s also very popular!

even though there was a language barrier the mood was tense to say the least. it was very uncomfotable just waiting for the fish and chips to be cooked!! and the fish and chips were ultra greasy!!

Me visita aquí regularmente cuando visite mi novio y siempre tienen buena, servicio rápido. Las patatas fritas son algunos de los mejores que he tenido, las saveloys son más que un poco decepcionante que tengo que decir sobre todo cuando nos visita a la hora de la comida. He tenido una hamburguesa de allí antes, pero fue unfinishable como el pan estaba mojado y probado, sin embargo, el servicio es bueno, y el personal es educado y en cuanto te puedo decir un establecimiento limpio.

He vivido en la zona toda mi vida y el Golden Fish Bar es mi idea de la "fish and chips" perfecta, son el estándar que compare todos los demás. Patatas fritas son perfectos, especialmente los refries descarado que puede no ser lo mejor para su cintura, son deliciosos. Pescado siempre es buena, no te decepcionará.

Hemos estado utilizando la comida para llevar para algunos años, y son muy impresionados con la calidad de la comida aquí. Sin embargo, es bastante caro, pero vale la pena, ya que sólo tienen pescado y patatas fritas en ocasiones, y es delicioso. Recuerden que si era más barato, volveríamos más a menudo.
