The best restaurants in Swale South East

We enjoyed an amazing feast with amazing service. I would definitely recommend !! We chose the set menu which was very good value !!

Staying nearby we'd found a review online and it sounded good. (By coincidence a friend who'd lived the area many years ago had talked about The Dove and had fond memories.) We'd booked a table which was just as well as all tables were taken. We were in a small room off tge main bar. A bit soulless and it was cold in there. (We moved to another table later.) The food though was good. I had pulled lamb tacos as a starter. Mt wife had seafood tortellini. Both tasty. For main she had a seafood chowder which she liked and I had pork three ways. It was nice (particularly the sauces) though I felt the piece of pork with crackling (belly pork) was a bit overdone. Food nice enough. Not cheap. Service a bit slow but friendly. I'd mark it above average but not Very Good if I had the choice. But worth a visit.

We had curry goat and jerk chicken with the rum punch and it did not disappoint. Very tasty food, great portion size and quick and reliable service. Will be ordering again very soon.

Chose this place as they do Gluten free. Best Gluten free bread I have ever had out. The service was brilliant, with a teapot, tea cups and sauces and tea plates and the shop is a real delight, with some many lovely things to look at. I will defenately go there again if I am over that way. Higly recommend this place.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very rude and obnoxious person,who insisted we waited for service while she was chatting to a customer about the weather. Then there was the food ...my children became ill shortly after we left the place,they had tuna baguettes and for some reason they tasted off . When questioned about it the very impolite individual said"if you don't like it then leave" The Café itself was poorly maintained,their was slight odour of mould near the main counter,the place was filled with trinkets to buy including photos of people eating on a summer's day there. The toilet facilities were unsanitary,no hand soap,no paper towels to dry hands with and no lock on the door. When leaving the Café it felt like we were leaving an old people's retirement home after visiting a relative,a Café/sandwich bar should be welcoming and should make their own food not fillings from plastic containers with no indication of it's freshness! Since then I have spoke to several unhappy diner's who complained about the workers there who still seem to think being snappy, aggressive and rude is the correct way. A warning to all please do not eat here if you value your wellbeing.

This pub has a genuine community feel - is extremely friendly and the Sunday lunch is to die for. It is huge, piping hot and delicious. Great value for money as well. I can't fault it in any way. The Landlady and Landlord, together with their staff are just the loveliest people.

Great breakfast good quality products used and cooked to a good standard great service nice clean place would highly recommend

Picked up a takeaway on the spur of the moment. Received a warm welcome and an offer of a cup of tea whilst we waited. Our food was cooked freshly for us. There are lots of really interesting photos of the island to look at while you wait. The cod was chunky and so fresh! Perfect portion size and reasonably priced. We will go here again!

A little gem on a busy road my first visit today with my elderly mum and was made so welcome from an earlier phone call for directions …. Which easy to find So pleased I went excellent food and fantastic valve friendly atmosphere from start to finish I felt like I’d known Nick ( the owner ) and Jackie for years The best bubble and squeak I’ve had in years looking forward to returning soon It may be a small diner but a big personality for a professional business

Was a regular till they took the piss like the mojority. "it's constant with BS on this island". "plain white chicken ill reiterate PLAIN WHITE CHICKEN, photos will show, what I was charged £5 for.👎

Wonderful time spent with my wife here for our anniversary. Fantasti, fresh, fish platters. Wine delicious, service impeccable and as plus it is dog friendly too. Next time we want to try their cheese platters.... nearly forgot.... don't miss their Campari Spritz... ! Prices within avarage, given the freshness of all they serve, great value for money !

Always on the look out for a decent Pie & Mash and this café did not disappoint. Great food, friendly service and lovely place. Pies were Moorish. I'm coming back for more.

Lovely service and food. Really good value for money and generous portions. Both had 3 courses & drinks (bought at the bar) for around £60 👍🏻

Hidden little gem. Walk through the antique shop to a bright small but beautiful tea room. Staff were incredibly friendly. Tea was superb and cake, well let’s just say it was hard to stop at one slice! Antique delicate china always seems to make tea taste better! Little games on the tables make it perfect for a get together with friends and even for children. Lovely views overlooking an orchard which was stunning. Will definitely be returning!
