Always on the look out for a decent Pie & Mash and this café did not disappoint. Great food, friendly service and lovely place. Pies were Moorish. I'm coming back for more.

When I arrived at this cage off the busy main road of Sheerness, I was hungry and looking for some really decent coffee after a busy morning. The 'At the Seaside Cafe' not only delivered, but I felt as though I was right on the beach. Kn such a hot day even though the beach is a few metres away across the road, with the prettily painted seaside cottages opposite, the afternoon sun streaming sideways in through the door and a gentle breeze i felt the coolest I had felt all day. With a cup of divine coffee and the best toasted sandwich I've ever had in front of me, I quite happily sat there; nice and chilled for a change. I liked the lack of noisy TV and badly chosen music but the fridge was a little noisy. Add to that there are no prawns available I could have found myself disappointed, but I wasn't. There are full meals available, some home made, including ye olde pie and mash. If you can get past the fridge noise and lack of prawns (and crisps) you should enjoy a visit to the 'At the Seaside Cafe, in the beautiful historic town of Sheerness. (I hear the home made apple cake is something out of this world too).

My first visit to this spotless cafe, I found a varied menu and helpful staff. I do have a problem with modern cutlery being hard to use but this was changed immediately and the meal was excellent. Home made and tasty, the coffee was very good also. I will visit again for sure.

We popped in for a late breakfast , I had breakfast no.1, the food was very good and the mushrooms have to be one of the best I’ve tried in a cafe , wife had jacket and beans, with cheese and bacon, she enjoyed it very much , the coffee has to be one of the best I’ve tasted in a cafe too, the cafe offers a good selection of food , with a selection of home cooked meals , it is a small cafe and could probably only seat around 15 people, the staff are lovely too (maybe owners not sure) they did everything the way we asked for , only thing I can say is that it is a little pricey, just under £22 for 3 meals and 3 hot drinks, but I don’t really mind as I enjoyed the food and definetly will be going again

Stopped off here for a late lunch on a rainy Saturday and was not disappointed. The owners are very pleasant and the service is excellent. There s a good selection of food on the menu, a lot of homemade choices too. It’s reasonably priced and good value...definitely eat there again. Mama Babcia’s Apple pie is wonderful, and with the custard, great comfort food! Definitely a great addition to the Sheerness eating scene!

Having moved away from the island many years ago I'm at a loss as to what is good and what is not. Having visited this weekend a family member suggested we went for a breakfast together. I was pleasantly surprised to find a relatively new business operating in what I remembered to be an Indian take away. The decor was fresh and clean with a seaside theme. This is a small cafe and we received a warm welcome. Lovely cooked breakfast, all freshly cooked to order. Table service and a nice selection of quality tasting drinks. Lovely home made cakes were also on offer. Great value for money. So if it's a breakfast, a lunch or just a cuppa and a cake.... Give it a go!

We visited on Sunday 25th August as we were staying locally for my wife’s birthday. We arrived shortly after opening, and were warmly greeted, and told to wait by bar. Whilst waiting they added birthday decoration to our table, which was a lovely touch. I booked after reading a gushing write up in a Kent newspaper, and whilst living in Kent my whole life, I had never heard of The Dining Room before this. I had high expectations, but it was a complete surprise for my wife. As we arrived early the restaurant was empty, but then started filling up as the meal went on. The food was incredible - genuinely some of the nicest dishes we have ever had. I had the lamb starter and my wife had the onion bhajis. Both lovely. Main course, I had the fish curry and my wife had the king prawn. Both were lovely, plentiful and very well served. With breads and accompaniments we were both too full for anything. As the food was too good to leave the waitress kindly bagged these for us, which we enjoyed a few hours later. We were very kindly offered a complimentary drink to celebrate also. I’m not often compelled to write a review, but this definitely earned it. Highly recommend visiting if ever nearby, or even fancy the trip out to Leysdown - you won’t be disappointed.

Kitchen@Oscar's is an unpretentious, old-fashioned, family-run bakery - and one of the best spots in Faversham. The welcome is always warm and friendly and you can really tell this is a family business. Everything on the counter is amazing! Selection of high quality bread, sourdough, rye, etc, served cut or uncut. And the best croissants in Faversham, amazing sweet treats and savouries, and with a selection of freshly prepared hot food (like sausage rolls - vegan options available!) You can also order a bacon roll, bacon and egg roll etc, cooked-while-you-wait. Conveniently located by the train station so perfect to pop in for a coffee before commuting. (And their takeaway cups are always distinctive!)

Hidden little gem. Walk through the antique shop to a bright small but beautiful tea room. Staff were incredibly friendly. Tea was superb and cake, well let’s just say it was hard to stop at one slice! Antique delicate china always seems to make tea taste better! Little games on the tables make it perfect for a get together with friends and even for children. Lovely views overlooking an orchard which was stunning. Will definitely be returning!
