Just had fish and chips...cold looks like left overs..it in the bin at £9.70 ..after 10 years having great fish and chip this is disappointing. Live to fare away to return it...

It's a takeaway so little atmosphere but you're always greeted in a friendly and welcoming way. Food is good portions are large and reasonably priced. Probably could do with getting rid of the fishtank

Lunchtime service and it was empty, usually a red flag but hungry so went with it. Jumbo sausage in batter and chips. Portions pretty good, served quickly but bland, and really greasy, soggy chips. Nah, not one to return to I’m afraid.

What a dirty dive , used to use this shop years ago and was always nice and clean , Don’t think it’s been cleaned since I last visited Orderd kids chicken nugget meals and both children have been ill since , obviously food poisoning On top of that they never gave me my change maybe they will put it towards a cleaner but unlikely

Cod and chips this evening, absolutely disgusting, the chips were still raw and the fish was soggy batter. Such a shame as used to be the best fish and chip shop in Faversham. I won’t be going back and I suggest you approach with caution.

This is an updated review and I must say that the Gaslight Fish Bar has significantly improved in last 3yrs. I would now rate this place as one of the best around locally. Well done to staff/owners..... excellent.

My personal favourite Chippy in town. Food is lovely, price is good and you don't have to wait all day like at Ossie's where they pass out lots of free chips but always say "just waiting on chips Sir" I've an idea stop giving them out and then there won't be as big a queue!!

Been using this Chippy for well over a decade, sadly learnt the business has changed hands and you can definitely tell it’s under new management. The previous owners set a very high standard for the quality of the food they would serve to their customers, they would always drain the grease from the fish (the battered fish grease is horrendous and visible on the paper) the chips are ether re-heated or undercooked. The staff seem very disinterested and could possibly do with some training to try and set a higher standard for the business. I would advise anyone who comes to visit Faversham to avoid this chip shop.

Was the best traditional take away chippy for miles - not sure what has happened but the staff, quality, attitude and service have all recently deteriorated and now its just an average chippy - OK but thats all.

Since the refurb food quality gone downhill dramactically, soggy, undercooked chips, cod overcooked.

Quite often use this chip shop but tonight the cod and chips were below par, chips were very greasy and cod was overcooked

Did not feel like cooking so popped into Faversham Town to the Gaslight Chippy. Favourite chippy. Good food at reasonable prices. Fast efficient service by cheerfull staff.

A very disappointing experience here. Chips were soggy and I found the member of staff who served me condescending a rude. I had the temerity to ask if they did fried onions or salad on the cheese burger I had ordered. The young chap decided to patronisingly tell me that a cheeseburger was "two pieces of bread, a piece of meat and a slice of cheese". I really didn't think that garnish on a cheeseburger was so niche a concept. I certainly didn't need the lesson on the structure of a cheeseburger. Won't be back and, frankly, with the quality of food alone, I am surprised by the positive reviews. The owner seems a pleasant chap and showed concern when I said on leaving the place that I found the service rude. Certainly not what you need when you are ordering food with a 3 year old, and a visually impaired father in tow.

Without a doubt this is the best chip shop in Faversham. All the food is always lovely especially the Cod. The Cod always tastes like Cod unlike at some other establishments close by. The batter has such a nice flavour too. It’s so clean inside and the staff are really polite and efficient. Highly recommended.

As far as the wife and I are concerned, this is the only place to get fish and chips from in Faversham. Yes, their are others, but we only eat the best.

On the morning my boyfriend and I agreed to be healthy that went out of the window when we both wanted fish and chips. The food was nice and hot. Only negative is that my boyfriend's cod was a bit soggy apart from that the food hit the spot.

Without a doubt this is, by far, the BEST chippie in town, and I have in the past tried them all. The staff are the nicest, friendliest people, you are always greeted when you enter, always thanked for your order, and the food is fresh, hot and tasty. A real treat..

Very nice fish and chips here. The curry sauce is absolute class and is homemade. I spent £35 here and got a free 1.75l bottle of Pepsi. The owners are really nice and is overall a very good chippy.

I'm not a fish and chips kind of girl, but my boyfriend and I were looking for something cheap and quick. Boy was I glad we picked this place. Lovely cod which was massive and a generous portion of chips. Very friendly staff too. I'm definitely not going to turn my nose up at fish and chips again!

Fue preparada a tiempo y pudimos añadir a nuestra orden en el último momento, lo cual ayudó enormemente. Los Miembros particularmente preguntamos dónde estaban ubicados, así la intención de repetir su experiencia de comida sabrosa. Servicio de David, Lynn y el equipo era excelente y eficiente y la comida era bastante caro también.

In my opinion one of the best fish and chip shops in Faversham. Generous portions, well cooked and delicious. The people that own it are always friendly and courteous, and very welcoming. They are always busy, but serve quickly and accurately.

Como un tren director. Yo estaba en mi PNB (Necesita descanso personal). Yo tenía hambre, y después de que nos dijeron acerca de este "fish and chips". Can't possibly fault Gaslight, easily the best chip shop in the area and how convenient to have it right on our doorstep! Always efficient service, very friendly staff and great chips for the last 10 years! Large portions, great taste and always prompt - highly recommended.
