had fish and chips from here and we can highley recommend the staff were very friendly and they did a meal deal that was just right for us

Has been my Favourite Leysdown chippie for Oh! 40 yrs maybe different owners but always good food either piece of Haddock or a couple of Saveloys plenty of vinegar and a sprinkle of vinegar

what a find, away from the mad rush of Leysdown central shops and arcades. Amazing food with amazing staff. Everything cooked to order and with perfection. had a chat with the guy running Galley Fisheries and surprised to know that he is not even from this field and learnt it all in last couple of years. Steak and kidney pie and chips x 2 Sausage in batter and chips x 2 And a sausage. £18 We all enjoyed it and nothing was left. Was good value for money and all cooked perfect. We live in minster and always drive up to this chip shop.

Almost half the price of the chippie on the corner, shorter queues and the food was good, usual chip shop fare.

Absolutely disgusted that in this day and age that all the food here is cooked in the same fryer! Meaning that even the chips aren't safe for vegetarians or vegans like myself! As chips are the main thing ordered and in such demand at you know, a chip shop! Not everyone enjoys the flavour of fish so when they eat chips don't wish to taste it

Went hear on our first night of our holidays and the food was lovely. Yes there was a little wait but it was definitely worth the wait if we are in the area again we would definitely eat hear again

Nothing to much trouble , I asked if they had any salt to take away and yes they supplied this and vinegar ,fish and chips was really fresh and tasty 😋

We are regular at Galley. Driving from Medway to enjoy fresh food and beautiful seaside is what we enjoy all the time and every time.

Without question the worst fish and chips in Leysdown. The food was greasy and looked as if it had been reheated from the previous day. Avoid this place!

Cheap for a reason! I have lived in Leysdown for 2 years but didn't know this restaurant existed until a flyer was posted through my door.

Busy restaurant away from the “strip” of Leysdown-on-Sea main high street. We opted for table service, which was a bit hit in miss. But the food was good and tasty. Picked onion was definitely picked from last season.

Ordered cod and chips portion size is good prices is good food chips wasn’t that great and also when asked if you would like salt and vinegar it don’t mean empty half the bottle of salt on the fish and chips

Decently priced quality food very nice. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Had to wait 15 mins but definitely worth it.

Always use this chip shop when we come to Leysdown dont think we will again. Took 10 minutes to take my order. 2 x cod roe and chips 2 x sausage and chips. Waited 30 mins for cod roe to cook then they ran out of sausages had to wait for them to cook some more then ran out of chips so had to wait again. 45 minutes wait in all. Man behind waited 20 mins for portion of chips he was given money back i didnt even get "sorry for the wait"Very bad service.

2x Had cheese burger and chips+ sausage . burger was cheep and tasted rank. Chips were brown and soggy, sausage was left my my kids , says it All as they love there food. Didn’t rate it at all struggled to eat it. Better places to eat disappointed.

Despite a little bit of a wait - it was bank holiday afterall and busy- the chips were nice and hot and the fish lovely and fresh with crispy batter. Worth the wait as they coom to order. Well recomended will definitely go back.

The food we ordered was cooked fresh. A note on the counter stated this would be the case. It was worth the wait. The facilities are clean and well looked after and the people were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble

Was visiting Leysdown-on-Sea for a day out and popped into This Fish & Chip restaurant for lunch. Excellent fish and chips all freshly cooked. A little expensive for lunch but I suppose fish and chips are expensive these days. Thought that £2 for a mug of coffee was a little high and they need to do something about the entrance door, on a windy day you get blown away every time someone comes in goes out. That said I would certainly recommend the food, excellent.

Fish and chips cooked whilst you wait, very tasty and very good sized portions cooked to perfection every time. First tried the food here about a year ago and have been a regular customer since.

First time here and absolutely lovely! Waited about 10 mins but fish was fried fresh and cooked well 👍🏼 worth the wait!! Staff were friendly also so all round great place!

Recently moved to the area after visiting for many years, so I popped into the Galley and noticed it has been spruced up. Had a quick chat with the owner and picked up my food, very nice and friendly staff and the food was top notch as usual! Never a bad word to say about the Galley and will be going again very soon.

I had a gallery special chicken burger. Had chicken , cheese, onion rings and salad with mayo in it. Also I had children chips.

Been to places before but this dude running the business now has a flare for cooking n knows the customers demands well. Fresh food n sumptuous servings

El pescado era fresco y el bateador era crujiente con ninguna señal de aceite o grasa. La gran longitud de la cod superó el plato y satisfacer el mayor apetito. Las patatas fritas eran bonitas. El servicio era por camareras que fue muy amable y muy atento asegurándose de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos. Fue una experiencia de lo más agradable. Bien hecho excelente servicio

La comida es excelente, fresco, no pasada, personal amable. ha sido de unos 6 a 7 veces en últimos 6 semanas de mudanza. No puedes dejar de ir.

Estado en número de ocasiones leysdown para un día o los fines de semana en caravanas. Todos los lugareños con Galley Fishbar y por esa razón esta tienda se llena en las noches cuando otras tiendas hunt chip para los clientes. Saben lo que hacen....

Realmente sabroso pescado y patatas patatas fritas salchichas n en el Galley Fishburn vale la pena ir, el hombre que preparó la comida era amable y servicial, la comida bien caliente. volveremos la próxima vez en Leysdown. Gracias por hacer que nuestro día.

Just a little way out of Leysdown but well worth it clean and freshly cooked food of a high standard

Fish and chips on the beach is one of our favourite things to do. The best place on the Isle of Sheppey for that, is The Galley Fishbar. Delicious skinless, boneless cod, lovely chips. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal sitting in the car on a dark evening. There is also a restaurant there, where they bring the food to you for very little more than the takeaway price.

Very friendly family run fish restaurant and take-away. Food is fresh and piping hot when served. Good sized portions and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Had a really great visit here. Very fresh food, big portions, great service. Probably the best fish and chips on the Island. Terrific.

Passed many chip shops to get here as was telling my friends how great the chips were, on arriving discovered different owner and no scraps (crackling!!) got chatting to the friendly man who wanted to know what scraps were and after telling him we had 2 huge trays full handed to us!! Gorgeous chips, perfect scraps and he even opened the hatch so we could all sit more comfortable together at the tables, no complaint over our noisy kids just huge smiles. Will DEFO be back! x

The galley fish bar is a take away and restaurant, the service is friendly and the staff are polite and helpful, this is a family run business.The various types of food are cooked to a high standard, there is a child's menu for the smaller adults, the premises is clean and tidy and the restaurant is separate and has a good atmosphere.I would recommend the galley fish bar to everyone who enjoys a good fish and chip meal ....... Ordered a child's sausage and chips with no batter as my grandson is lactose intolerant plus two adult meals.When we came to pay we where told oh we must have not heard you, we gave you an adult sausage and chips!Don't mind what we pay but thought they took the Mick to put it politely.Restaurant was grubby baby high chair was black needed a good bleach.Would we go back no shame as food was ok.

What a surprise we actually found a restaurant in Leysdown on Sea that is clean.The fish and chips was the best we have had in a long long time.The staff were very friendly which was nice.The guy who served us was the owners son in law from New Zealand and what a gentleman he was.Little gem in a not so nice seaside resort. (which is a dump believe me) just go to the entrance turn right and just a little way down the road you will come across this great little fish and chip restaurant.Great value for money.

Service with a smile from the young owner from New Zealand who lives above the shop with his wife. We visited twice whilst in the area and both times the fish and chips were excellent, freshly cooked to order, just as we prefer, and worth the wait. Conveniently placed for the various caravan and chalet parks, this restaurant serves both takeaway and eat in. Would have given five stars but felt there could be some upgrading of the ladies toilet.

I went here with my family. The man who served us was grumpy. No eye contact and just grunted when we asked for things. They had no chicken either and the chips weren't particularly nice. I bought sachets of serves which were a cheap brand. This man should not be in retail and should seriously consider retiring. They should definitely think about sorting themselves out, seeing as Ron's chip shop at the top of the promenade is much better!

The food is good but the cook to order. Often visit and nothing is ready. Pleasant staff though. Have used it a few times

We went to this fish bar and we're waiting to be served and the guy served the person behind us!!! So I left! Great customer service!! Clearly not!!! Won't be going back ever! Much better choice in Leysdown like Pauls, better service and better food!

This chippy is worth a visit if you are in the area. Good quality, good value for money, and a large menu with hot drinks, sides and extras. There is plenty of seating inside and out and is decorated with boxing memorabilia.

The gallery fish bar is further down then the trip advisor map suggest, it is passed the rise and crown pub on the same side.The councils food hygiene rating is only 1 out of 5 which is poor and the food proves that. They cook chips and reheat them so they are dry and far from fresh. Do yourself a favour a drive in the minster for your fish and chips. Head to the Broadway.

I have been using this fish and chip shop for a long time, because it is the best on the Isle of Sheppey. The cod is always skinned and boned and delicious.

Maybe we were lucky as we went in to eat very late but ordered a kids Cod & Chips and it was too big for me let alone the young ones! Nice chips even just before closing - interesting boxing photos on the walls.

The food here is a bit hit and miss. Go late your end up with reheated chips.More importantly the scores on the doors hygiene rating of 1 out of 5 is a right put off. Not for me thank you

lovely thick chips made from real potatoes properly cooked, the curry sauce was excellent. I would have scored this top marks if they had had a veggy meal.

burgers are disgusting practically cremated did not do onions or salad and half pounder came with 1 piece of cheese when asked for another piece of cheese was told it would be extra...chips are dreadful battered sausage my brother ate was awful and my daughters chicken nuggets where tasteless just like the rest of the food. staff were rude. overpriced and terrible quality

This chip shop gets busy, you can eat outside and there are always lots of people enjoying these fantastic fish and chips.

We went on a very soggy Bank Holiday Monday. We both had cod and chips and I had mushy peas too. Without a doubt the best mushy peas I've ever had (and I have them a lot!), the cod was also delicious and incredibly fresh. The chips were fine and the tea was very good too. We took the food out so can't comment on the restaurant service, take out service was very speedy.
