I`ve lived in Whitstable for over 20 years and tasted a lot of fish and chips from various shops,but these are the best I've ever had the fish is always so fresh and falls from the batter the batter is just perfect not oily or greasy and the chips are a great size with crispy edges yum..the price point is very good thank you for another lovely meal

When nobody can be bothered to cook, these are the guys that stop me starving (over exaggerated statement, but I was feeling peckish). Believe this is the fifth time of ordering from here, and yet to be disappointed. Order with confidence, first class chippie.

First time from blue marlin, but won’t be the last - it was delicious, hot, one of the best fish & chips I’ve had in a long time. The fish was really tasty. Not too greasy. Perfect portion - pensioners special. Yes will definitely order again.

It was good food,, chips were above average and the fish was excellent.

Decent fish. Chips ok. Took them and sat on the seafront which is a two minute drive away.

Ordered lovely haddock and chips and sausage, cod bites unfortunately curry sauce was forgotten but re delivered extremely quickly with complimentary chips absolutely fantastic service - thanks will order again soon

the steak and kidney pie was too hard and dry chips were fine

I was not happy with the delivery person they put the food on the doorstep not on the door and left I always thought that to hand it over

Using Just Eat for the first time, and having fish and chips from Blue Marlin for the first time in years, I have to say this was the best fish and chips I have had since V. C. Jones closed. Will definitely be using again. Just Eat got it here hot and crisp. I do hate soggy fish.

Cod bites and chips great value.

Absolutely the best fish and chips me and my family have had.Ever! Fresh and piping hot, large portion and the best curry sauce!And the cod was to die for! Definitely recommend!

One of the best bits of cod I’ve ever had a tad on the small side but happy with the way it all was I’ll be getting my fish and chips from here from now on

Haven't eaten fish and chips for ages and just eaten from Blue Marlins today and it was really good. Crispy batter and lovely chips. Not greasy at all. Fish tasted fresh and delicious. Will definitely go back again.

We have used the Blue Marlin a few times now and the fish and chips are exceptional. I had cod and the wife had rock, all cooked fresh. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It's hard to find good fish and chips but this place is first class.

A very rare treat as I hardly ever get takeaway fish and chips. These exceeded my expectations as the fish was white and bright and the batter was crispy in fact almost tempura type batter. Little portion of chips were enough, and were decent size pieces and only a couple of scrappy pieces. Good work

Very disappointing tonight. Although the fish was a nice size, it was very greasy along with the chips. I was also overcharged by a £1 and was asked to pay cash. Not there normal standard.

Have tried quite a few of the chip shops in White but have to say hands down Blue Marlin has the best chips, perfectly cooked, great portion sizes, have yet to try the fish but have heard many good things about it, keep it up guys

Have used this shop for almost 3 years now & it doesn’t matter what day or time I go(including at opening & closing times) the quality of the food is always excellent. The premises are clean. Staff have always been polite, helpful & friendly. Very reasonable prices(best I can find locally). I highly recommend it.

Yes not too bad. Food was cooked fresh always a bonus. Like the bags the chips come in . Easy to eat from.

Just paid a tenner for large battered sausage large chips and a cod .The fish is unacceptable fat one end the other end just dried up fish in burnt batter .not sure how long the sausage has sat there and chips hard and dry .Lost my custom for sure !

Fish was not freshly cooked. The batter was hard and chewy, clearly cooked several hours ago. The chips were acceptable but definitely had better.

Been going to this fish bar for 4 years now and it is very clean , freidly and good fish and chips. I would highly recommend it .

Chips were tasteless burger was like rubber and tasted like it was reheated poor food will not return.

Got home, no sausage in the bag. Check your order before leaving if they make you wait outside. Fish & chips were average.

This is the best fish and chip shop in the whole of the area - by far. The fish is beautiful, the chips are great; try their homemade tartare sauce (mmmmm) & the staff are very friendly and know how to cook (consistently good food come rain, shine, or COVID que’s)

We were staying down the road at seaview holiday park and stopped here a couple of times. It was nice food but one time the food was a bit cold, but other than that was really nice and would recommend

Decent food but there are better in Whitstable. Enjoyed the meal but I did find some bones in my fish. As a convenience since we were driving past and it accepted card payments it was fine. Chips were really good.

We have regularly used their phone in order then collect service every Friday throughout the second lockdown. Fish has always been fresh, chips plentiful and hot. Good friendly service even though very busy on a Friday evening. Definitely recommend. Stay local and support local shops.

Recommended to try by friends & family that live in Kent and I can honestly say the 1hr 45 min drive was worth every last chip! Amazing food! So fresh and tasty. We tried the fish, scampi, spring rolls & sausages and the curry sauce is to die for! Hats off to the owners that keep the shop so clean, so inviting and abide to all social distancing measures. Staff are so friendly, quick and know their stuff! Can’t wait to visit again and take a stroll on the beach with our fish and chips! Thank you Blue Marlin and Team x

We are advised by the government to pay by card to reduce COVID19 transmission and whenever I pay by card i get asked 'do you have cash at all?', I then get dirty looks. Poor service

Fish and chips were the worst I have had , Fish must of been sitting there all Day , Chips were Dry , it went straight in the bin, never to Return !!!!

The worst fish and chips. Very disappointed with the fish and chips we received this evening, the fish had little to no flesh and was very dry - the fish had clearly been sat around for a long time. Our family have put very large orders into this fish and chip shop over the past couple of weeks and we definitely won’t be going back after this meal.

The best fish a chips I’ve had since the 80’s! Been there a few times Especially when we stay at the caravan park and everything is good to order and perfection. Lovely lad who owns it always happy and excellent staff. Homemade tartar sauce is excellent and the recently they have started given lemon with the fish which adds that extra flavour. Everyone that I know going near the beach or whitstable I always recommend them!

I have been many times on my way back from taking the dog out for a beach walk. Everyone in there is so lovely, the food is always good fresh hence the 5-10 mins wait. I love the food and The fact they wear face masks and keep to the 2 metre distance! Absolutely fantastic

I picked some fish and chips but was very disappointed when I unwrapped them. The large fish was largely batter and was very dry/hard. When I cut the fish, I noticed some parts were very dark. There were layers of batter. I can only assume it had been rebattered and recooked. Extremely poor.

Went back to this place after a break for no particular reason, and pleasantly surprised by the happy smiling faces serving. Both fish and chips were very good, I am happy to say we will be using it again as our regular.

The food was greasy. The portions of fish and chips are not worth the price. Swim the other way, go to the Chip Shop in Tankerton, that's fantastic.

Greasy wet/uncooked batter! It sticks to the paper and comes away from the fish. Poor!

I really want to enjoy food from here as it is my most local fish and chip shop, but quite often the fish is so greasy that the batter sticks to the paper and comes off the fish. Sometimes the top of the fish is crispy but the bottom is wet. I've experienced this a couple of times so it isn't a one-off problem.

Sloppy battered, tasteless fish. Very disappointed
