This place is racist, I came here with my friends and they said they are closed for eat in and they can’t seat us, but then we came back and a group of white people were seated, waiting to eat their food. Please learn to treat people with more respect , also charging people for mayo and ketchup is insane work.

Booked the Old Sail Loft in March for our visit over Easter, booking was confirmed, and we thought all was well when we set off from Manchester to make the 5 hour journey down to Lovely Looe...It wasn't until the day before our reservation that we noticed it was closed and a non-informative message scribbled on a blackboard outside about it being closed. I emailed the owner to check whether or not our reservation was going to happen the following night, only to receive an abrupt response saying no it wasn't...!?!?! No apology or alternative...? So basically, If i hadn't been there the day before we would've turned up to an empty/closed restaurant as they didn't have the common decency to let us know...In times of economic troubles this isn't how i would run a business if i was trying to attract returning customers... Bad practice all round...

Lovely restaurant situated on the canal side with plenty of paid for parking nearby. The staff were welcoming and attentive during our visit. We didn’t eat a full meal on this occasion but the food being served to others looked very good. The cakes we had were yummy and good value. With seating inside and out, it’s worth a try.

Oh my goodness if I could give 10 stars I would! Went for lunch on my 60th birthday, didn’t book, just went on off the street. They couldn’t have made me feel any more special! Glass of champagne, starter and dessert all on the house! Food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten - absolutely incredible! Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be returning!

Absolutely fantastic seafood experience at CuttleFish in Oxford! We tried the paella, tuna steak, moules marinières, and classic fish and chips—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully cooked. The tuna was perfectly seared, the paella rich and aromatic, and the mussels were a standout. Friendly service and lovely atmosphere made it even better. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great seafood!

I was one of a group of 8 who ate at The Riverside New Year’s eve. A glass of bubbly was served on arrival followed by some bread and olives. From the special set menu i had selected the crab tart to start and then the fillet steak cooked blue and finally a baileys bread and butter pudding with banana trifle . All washed down with plenty of Tribute Ale. Overall this was the best meal i have had in this country for a long time. it’s nice to see a chef know exactly how to serve a blue steak..service was excellent too so thank you to everyone at the Riverside. His Lordship awards you 5 stars

We called in to The Little Fish and Chip shop for our supper after spending a lovely afternoon in Southwold, we have been here many times, once again we had delicious fish n chips and my favourite fish cake, excellent quick service. Thank you for remembering us from the summer!!

rated this 3 stars a year ago and returned today but it’s dropped off even more. the service really lets this restaurant down, with long waiting times for orders and bills despite it being quiet. the food was nice but one of our orders came incomplete and not as described on the menu. the pricing is OK for what you get but it’s nothing outstanding. after visiting twice, i can safely say i won’t be back here and i would recommend trying other restaurants in headingley. for a similar atmosphere, Restaurant No.14 seems to be a better shout

Just saw Mr Wig's review and felt prompted to write my own. We're locals and this is our favourite fish and chip shop. No it isn't cheap but it is the best. We travelled elsewhere recently for the day and went to a chippy with a 4.8 star review, it was so disappointing. We've never had that at M&A! We get it most weeks as a weekend treat and it's 10/10 every time. Fresh tasting and the best chips you can find. We had to go elsewhere to realise how lucky we are to have Malt & Anchor so close!
