The best restaurants in England

Really chill vibes, just off the high street of salcombe so you miss the manic foot traffic. Really tasty food and beer and both the owner and staff were incredibly friendly. Would recommend to anyone in Salcombe who wants to stray from the usual pasties or pub grub and eat some healthy and delicious South African food.

Visited this great little cafe when in Town for New Year’s eve and the Races on New Year’s day. Brunch on NYE and breakfast on New Year’s day. Great food, great service and very reasonably priced- will definitely return

We visited the Hidden Chef last night as we wanted to enjoy the experience one last time, and to support Dean and Co in their last weekend at the Brasserie. Once again the food was exceptional and the atmosphere friendly and welcome. We will miss having this wonderful restaurant on our door step but are delighted that we will be able to savour Deans delights from the Deli. I buy lunch from Plantkind quite often. I’m not vegan but it doesn’t matter, I’ve never tasted food so fresh and to call it salad doesn’t do it justice, the flavours in their falafel box are off the scale

Fantastic and warm welcome, excellent service with incredible pizzas! Restaurant is literally in front section of a house lit up like a fairytale - cosy and intimate and served with big smiles.

I visited the restaurant and was helped to order by Aisha. She was so helpful and provided very good costumer service. Really enjoyed the service.

Great pizzas and chicken. We had 3 different pizzas, each delicious and as close to authentic Italian as you can get. Half a chicken was full of flavour and so tender! Best I've tried in long time.

This is my local takeaway and I’m glad I found it because sometimes you can go wrong when trying somewhere new. Delicious food, made with care and lovely service. I always get the prawn puri it’s fantastic!! Thank you for always being consistently outstanding!!! See you soon!

Simply fabulous. We recently had afternoon tea while on a girlie weekend. The views are stunning. The hosts are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, and as for the food …. It was absolutely amazing Highly recommend a visit.

Absolutely outstanding, as it always is. Onion bhajis are my absolute favourite from here! Service is always great with the driver. Cannot fault them.

The food at Corner chippy is decent enough, but the “cash only” policy is an absolute pain. Like many others in this day & age, I rarely carry cash now so having to go to a cash point and get cash is a big inconvenience to the customer. We all know why businesses do it…. Mr Taxman doesn’t see cash does he…. But it isn’t good for your customers.

We stopped by for lunch and, as always, it was superb. We always enjoy our visits to Cook & Baker, especially as we are keeping it local, and it's one of our go too places to eat. The owners and staff are always friendly, attentive and helpful. If you find yourselves in Godshill we recommend a visit for breakfast or lunch. However they only open Friday through to Monday so please note. They are also dog friendly for those with four legged friends 👍🐶

Lovely cafe in the middle of a beautiful high street in Bedale. Lots of GF options. Very friendly and polite staff. Food is yummy and freshly baked. Helped to keep my lively daughter entertained and quiet with a children’s book.

Visited for a late breakfast when staying in Richmond. The service was outstanding as was the quality of the food and the Covid measures were spot on. Our breakfast was one of the nicest cooked breakfasts we’ve had in a long time. There’s a little shop on site which has some lovely trinkets and a garden/plant sale too - 3 attractions in one!
