This is my local takeaway and I’m glad I found it because sometimes you can go wrong when trying somewhere new. Delicious food, made with care and lovely service. I always get the prawn puri it’s fantastic!! Thank you for always being consistently outstanding!!! See you soon!

Great food, good value, friendly. Situated on North Finchley's Tally Ho triangle, it is not the easiest restaurant to spot, but repays the effort.

We've only ever got deliveries from here but it is consistently great. The quantities are generous and the quality is superb. My particular favourite is the salmon sizzler.

Batin is such a lovely host with a very friendly nature. He remembered my husband after having been away for three years! This was my first time. Lovely, calm atmosphere. The food was nicely paced from appetizers through to the mains. We skipped dessert as we ordered too much for two people. We had popadoms, onion bhaji, lamb chops bhuna, balti chicken bhuna, and peshwari naan. Like I said, way too much food for two. Everything was A..MAZ…ING!!! All of the flavours were rich and layered. Oh, I also had a mango lassi. The lassi was actual mangos not just a syrup. So so so good!

Spicegate used to be a great restaurant under 2 previous managers, the food was always very good. It's been closed for some time but has now opened up as a take away only. You can order on line and collect or get it delivered. Myself and my wife tried it out for the first time tonight and ordered a Chicken Tikka Masala and a Chicken passanda both with boiled rice with a Keema Nan and Peshwari nan. I collected the food which was lovely and hot when we got it home and the meal itself was excellent. The food was tasty, well cooked and plenty of it, neither of us could finish our meal. We will definately use Spicegate again and wish the new owner every success on his venture and hope the food stays just as it is as it was excellent.

The menu is appealing and offers a nice variety. The service is friendly but lacking in experience, I think, little things such as receiving food before drinks, beer before water, etc. Some staff take drink orders and some food, and it's all a little chaotic, we've been asked the same questions multiple times by various ppl. Nothing bad, just not quite there yet. It says to order 2-3 dishes per person, which I think is almost too much! Especially the curries were quite big. The okra seemed not quite cooked and were a little disappointing. The buttery chicken and spicy greens are my highlight. £100 for 2ppl, 2 beers, 6 (as recommended) plates, is not cheap. It's a good place to eat. If I'm in the area, I'd come back, but I don't think I would rush back on purpose. Decent food spot

This is our second time coming to Bayleaf. The staff were all very friendly and welcomed us with a warm smile. We had the most tastiest meal with delicious starters and mains. We will be returning AGAIN, thank you so so much.
