Taste Of Nawab in Barnet

Came here for dinner with my husband on Valentine's Day. This restaurant had been on our list of places to visit for years and finally made it here. The place was beautifully decked out for Valentine's Day and every girl was given a red rose upon departure. The staff were very friendly and attentive and prices were really different. The mixed grill was lovely and the breads were soft. A lovely dinner.

Just a lovely place to eat wonderful Indian cuisine! Abdul the owner is such a charming host and treats all his clients the same. A lovely experience to be had by all customers. The menu is very extensive and truly varied with lots of authentic dishes, you cannot fail to like something here. Have been coming here for some time now and have never been disappointed . All of the staff are so pleasant and helpful, which makes it a place you will want to visit again. Make a point to visit, you won't be disappointed.

I’ve ordered takeaway from Taste of Nawab before, and have also eaten in recently. Both times, the food has been delicious and portion sizes excellent. However, I’d recommend dining in for the best experience. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. The owner in particular was very keen to make our experience special and offered us free dessert (we were stuffed so declined), and chocolates with our bill. Would recommend!

They came much earlier than expected and the delivery driver needs to work on his customer service. No matter who you deliver to, standards shouldn’t slip. Anyway the curry was ok.. but the lamb chops was fatty and undercooked I had to throw it away.. the best thing was the garlic Nan bread which was delicious and soft so overall it’s a 4/10. They rushed the cooking process, which I can tell as I have ordered food from here before and it was nothing like last night :/

Excellent food and they provided a few extras. Only problem was due to Just Eat rather than the restaurant, who left out our door number, no option to add it in. No way to connect or chat to put the number in? No fault of the restaurant.

I have recently moved into the area and wanted to try the local curry house. My first time going in, the staff were really welcoming and friendly and the food was great. My second time, I requested a dish that was not on their menu, but they offered to make it anyway, and the taste was great. I'm pleased they are across the street from me, I'll be recommending this place to my friends.

Just celebrated my sisters 14th birthday with family and friends here. Absolutely lovely and amazing staff and ownership, and the food is perfect. Best place in town. Would reccomend if celebrating or if you just like friendly food.

Taste of Nawab is such a fantastic restaurant, not only is the food fantastic but everyone who works at the restaurant are kind, polite and very very hard working! The owner is incredibly generous and he highlighted this by offering a free dinner for everyone who was still affected by having no gas, heating and hot water as soon as the restaurant was up and running from having the same issue. He deserves every success and I hope to see his business grow even further in the future!

I have visited Taste of Nawab several times and have always had a great experience. The food and service have always been excellent and Abdul the manager is always very friendly. I can highly recommend the Lamb Rogan. It is also very good value for money and lots of options on the menu.

Came here for dinner on December 24th and had an amazing experience. My father ordered the chicken tika masala and it was my favorite dish, while I had the Korai panner, and I absolutely loved it. For me, it ties for best Indian food restaurant Ive been to. I totally recommend it.

Outstanding customer care and service, with wonderful food. The sag paneer (we prefer cubed, not creamed) genuinely tastes fresh, and the paneer naga chilli is a dish we love and haven't seen elsewhere (with Scotch Bonnet peppers - we order it less hot). It deserves its high rating. Abdul really cares about his customers and the community - we've even been invited to a buffet night on the house for regular customers.

Taste of Nawab is a truly unique experience. The food has to be tested to be believed. Not only is it perfectly cooked with "today's" fresh Ingredients but when it arrives it's always what you expected and a little bit more. The staff cannot do enough for you. The owner has created a wonderful relaxing environment that makes you feel "out with friends". It's always the highlight of my weekly visit and any other excuse I can make to come back. Abdul is a genius which is why this little restaurant is a constant award winner. Thank you Abdul.

What a service and what amazing food! The owner has a chat with everyone and makes sure everything is well, feels very personal and nice. The flavours are next level! We ordered quite a bit but we started of with pappadoms and their sauces are really nice! Then we had the pork chops and the king prawn puri 🤤 the roti with the prawn puri was to die for. Then we had some kind of lamb curry and I had the paneer korai 👌 with garlic naan and lemon garlic rice 😍 We will def be back!

Our new favorite restaurant! Perfect in every way. The food was unmatched. The staff accommodated mild food for 3 young kids and spicy dishes to appeal to those of us who preferred more spice. The owner was the most welcoming person. And the entire staff was incredibly kind to our youngest, who loved the food too, but made quite a mess as one year olds do. We will absolutely be back and if you're considering going, just make sure to book. Even early it was packed with regulars and plenty of locals grabbing takeaways too. Very mediocre. Chicken Shashlik not the real deal, masala and dupiatsa flavourless and watery. Peshwari flat, small and flavourless. Sag Aloo below average. Lots of other local Indians far superior. Never again. Overpriced too. Used this place a few times, always a poor standard.

Taste of Nawab is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Bengali food. The flavours are incredible, with every dish packed with the perfect blend of spices. The service is top-notch, too – the staff are super friendly and make you feel like family. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was OK, but not quite what I was expecting, but that may have been my misunderstanding their menu. However, it was missing 2 items from the order.

Food would have been nice but it was cold. Like actually cold - not even warm. Delivery driver couldn’t find the flat (despite google maps existing?) - he was two streets away and we had to wander the street to find him.

Consistently great food. Big menu with lots of options, including lots of veggie bits. Prices are great. Super warm service from the whole team at Taste of Nawab.

This place was recommended to me, but I must say what a disappointment it was, onion barge was Rubery, tandory grill had no flavour, the spinach side dishes was dry, the mamgo lassy was not cold enough. The nan bread was great and condiments was nice service was great, I was not going to say nothing but then I see they changed me for mango chatney how cheap is that, disgusting after spending 75 pounds. I'm so surprised how good there reviews are. If everyone thinks I'm taking rubbish, please challenge me, il be clad to take your chefs on, plus one more think, you should cook they tandory grill fresh not warm it up, as you can see I'm a chef who knows what his talking about. This is the classic, well run, long owned family business that you love to see. The customer service is 5 star, and if I was allowed to rate higher, I would. Great food, attentive waiters and owner and delicious food. The owner even walked us out and held the door open for us when we finished dining. You just don't get that level of service anymore, or anywhere else.

Fantastic meal, jalfrezi was packed full of flavour - very spicy! My partner enjoyed her masala paneer - service was great!

The meat Thali meal is absolutely delicious! It’s meant to be for 1 but if you’re not very hungry you can easily split it between 2. The chicken tikka is really yummy as is the lamb bhuna and chicken tikka masala. It’s all fab. Have ordered at least three times before and no doubt will order again!

I've been frequenting this curry house for over twenty years and I've never had a bad word to say about it. The food is sensational, whether you eat in or take-away, always freshly cooked and extremely tasty. This restaurant really is the best! I have a friend who lives in Muswell Hill, and we make a point of eating here every time I come to visit. We last ate here on Saturday night just over a week ago. We were a group of 7, then it was 12, and we were more than 30 minutes late. So very inconvenient for the (fully booked) restaurant. And it was the 50th Birthday of one of our group. However, Abdul and his team went out of their way to accommodate us. Food and service were brilliant as always, and we had a fantastic evening, with the restaurant making a fuss over our friend for his birthday. SO NICE!!! Do not miss this place. I can't wait to visit again!!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere, we were greeted by smiles at the door! The chicken shaslik came to the table served on a hot plate, so beautifully seasoned and tender at every bite. They ensured we were well looked after and treated us like family. Definitely recommend this restaurant as it’s a hidden gem well worth the visit

I needed catering for a party and Taste of Nawab provided tasty food for it. The head count was 50+ and the two curry’s plus rice, naan bread, poppadoms and chutneys were all delicious, there was barely any food left as the guests wisely went for seconds because of how delicious it all was. Abdul delivered everything, was very generous with his time and helped me out with plate and cutlery hire too. Really recommend Abdul to take the stress out of organising a party!🎉

Went out for a meal with the family. To say the food was absolutely deliciiiiiiiiooooooous, is an understatement. The quality of food, the taste the flavours were phenomenal. The service and atmosphere were perfect. Great memories were made. As usual a wonderful evening at the Taste of Nawab. We will definitely be back. We wanted to try a different dish to our usual order, Abdul suggested Korai and Tagore. Both of which were superb, the lamb was melt in your mouth and the sauces bursting with individual flavours. Taste of Nawab never fails to deliver on deliciousness, plus the staff, and owner, Abdul, are super-friendly and accommodating. Always a delight to eat here. We are so glad we found it. Most customers have been going for years, the restaurant has just celebrated its 28th anniversary!!!

Catered for a 25th wedding anniversary with 40+ guests at our house. Food was consistent and excellent, the owner of the restuarant served the food efficiently and pleasantly. All of our friends complemented us on the food & service.
