Very rude old guy works here I never seen such a bad service by this man I’ve been here on my occasions yet every time I have to ask for tissue paper or a fork and when you so the man looks like he’s world is crumbling so for I have to be honest this man makes me wanna spend my money elsewhere

Frydays is hands down the BEST fish and chips shop around! The fish is perfectly fresh, golden, and flaky, while the chips are crispy outside, fluffy inside—absolutely divine. Have always had exceptional fish and chips from Frydays. We prefer crispy chips to we ask for them double cooked and they are always exactly as we love them. Goujins in matzah meal are our favourites. Michael and team are so friendly and helpful.

The chips were great. The fish seemed a bit tired, and the batter was slightly greasy. On the upside, it was all cooked to order and they seemed to be busy.

This is truly my favourite fish and chips but I beg you to never put the fish in paper again please 😩 it arrived soggy and fell apart

Sweet juicy white fish in a crispy crunchy clean batter, with fat chips that are soft and mushy on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Ordered grilled plaice. Asked before ordering if it was nice. Was told it was. It was inedible. When I called back to tell them it was awful, the same lady who took the order originally, then said it was because of the time of year that the fish was gelatinous. Shame she didn’t say that when I asked, was it nice - it was not !!

Ordered a fairly large take away for Saturday night , popped in during the day to place the order in advance and pay .and everything was absolute perfection . Every piece of fish was cooked perfectly and the chips were gorgeous and they got the amount just right . They deserve the award for best fish and chips and the owners are so so so lovely

For some reason we got skinny kebab shop style chips. Very disappointed when I unwrapped them when I got home. You should tell people you're serving different chips. Chunky chips are what Fish and Chips are all about.

First time visit. Staff are very friendly and popular with the locals. I had to wait for my fish to be cooked ( not a problem). Medium fish was a very good size and had plenty of chips. I drove home and the meal was still hot. The price was more than I would normally pay but overall good value for the money. The shop was very clean and tidy. Worth a visit.

Frydays never disappoints. Friendly staff, super fresh fish, perfectly cooked. Extra crispy chips, if you ask. Another bonus is that they will use matzo meal instead of batter (best to call ahead to order this)

Tried other fish and chip shops and I found this to be the best perfectly cooked at a very reasonable price.

Busy local fish and chip shop. Ordered large cod, large chips, onion rings and goujons for £22. What we ordered was for two but would have been enough for three as we had chips and fish left over. The goujons and cod were enormous and the portions would have been enough for two people. All cooked to order and very fresh. Option to have matzo meal instead of batter. Noticed other menu items including burger in a bun for £1.20 or with cheese for £1.30. Also cod roe. Seemingly run by hard working people who take great pride in their food. Some seating but not an eat in place. Go there. You won't regret it!

Ordered a chips in pita and asked for the paid addition of cheese. Chips were soggy and cold, pitta was cut all the way through so the chips just fell straight through. Best thing about the meal was the salt. Was told she won’t put the cheese in because the owner doesn’t like it even though I was paying. English was poor and attitude stank. No tissues even though we were eating in and finally the pitta was served in paper rather than a box.

I go mainly Fri or Sat aft/eve, they are always madly busy, really friendly, order taken quickly, Fish really fresh with crispy batter and great chips, try the curry sauce mmn nice. You must go give them a try !!

Paid for a large portion of chips and got home to find a small handful of chips This is the second time this has happened and I'd recommend using someone else's chipshop unless you're happy paying £4 for half a potato

Family run, best fish and chips in the area. £13.50 for a large fish and chips. And I mean large, could have split it into 2 meals. Fresh fish. Delicious

Although the rush hour becomes really busy, it's worth the wait. I love the fact that the xtra large portion of chips feeds the family! Thank you for that! Always fresh!

Superb fish and chips, one of the best - if not the BEST - I've encountered in North London. The people who run this centre of excellence are a delight. So very helpful and accommodating to my special requests.

The food here is amazing and the staff are always happy and friendly. The reason for 3 stars and not anymore is because the last few times I've gone, I've been overcharged. I've challenged them once and was refunded. It's got to a point now I find it very awkward asking them to double check the overall price infront of other customers when i know I've again been overcharged. Maybe it's time to invest in a new till that does all the calculations. I will continue to go here as the food is the best locally by a country mile. Just be sure to check the total price of your food when paying against prices shown on the wall. All the £'s add up if you're being overcharged everything.

Very fresh either grilled or fried fish. Good size portions and very good quality. Fish. It would be nice if they offered fried place on the bone in batter and maybe a few more side dishes. Mushy peas are also nice.

I've eaten here a few times, mostly due to the lack of other options in the nearby area, but who doesn't fancy a treat of a portion of chips from time to time? The food is fine - I've tried the fish plus the sausages. The chips - as you would expect. But one thing's for sure - you'll get an indifferent, sour-faced service from the staff behind the counter. Good luck if it's busy - there's no fast food here.

Complaining about kebab like rubber , savloy cold and cold curry sauce and got no refund stay clear staff unhelpful

Nice and friendly staff. The food is really good and the prices are very good for what you expect. The only thing I don't agree with is the extra use of paper, such a waste of paper when they wrap your order. I think they need to improve this.

I’m gonna be honest, the chips are hot and cold at best there a 7/10. No real crisp on the outside and fluff in the middle like the proper ones are. Gravy and curry sauce are absolutely brutal with zero flavour or taste. Why not put more effort into the gravy and curry, it don’t make sense..

We only did take away and it was on a Friday which was a 'fryday' for us. Excellent service, generously sized portions, tasty well-cooked. Would repeat the experience.
