So far the best haddock fish and chips we had, at least on this side of London. The large is enough for 2 people maybe even 3 less than average sized folks. It was cooked fresh with an abundant amount of fries. We made the mistake of ordering first then asking to eat inside which apparently is not the right way since the prices are different for dine in. The manager was kind enough to let us eat in anyway. Ambiance is more of a dressed up fast food place. All in all it was delicious food and a good experience. Oh yeah it was one of the only places open late in the area too.

They forgot to deliver 2 Ketchup Sachet (10 ml)

Ordered take away a couple of times, fish is well fried, nice and crisp, good batter. Chips are your standard chip shop chips. Wish they made tartar sauce in house but alas it is a dying tradition. Overall, great spot for some fish and chips!

The owner left a sour feeling when all he was interested in was extracting as much money as possible from us. Overcharging is a theme here.

Always fresh food best fish and chip shop in North London

I ordered 1 Large Haddock 1 Cod 1 Large chips & Mushy Peas. Everything was cooked fresh whilst I waited & it was delicious. Excellent service

This is our local dish and chips shop. We have often take away which is very efficient and highly satisfying! The restaurant was one of our favourite local places and I am sure it will still be!

Food took 20 minutes when they told me 10. All of the food was disappointing (cod, chips and sausage in batter).

A real delight in Finchley.The combination of a fish restaurant with a turkish cuisine makes for an excellent choice in this part of London.Starting with the extensive meze , moving to the mains, all is served in a nice way.The cod fish&chips is one of the best that i've had lately, and the grilled seabass my partner had,was very good, as well.Pleasant atmosphere and a very attentive service by the owner.

Delicious food, big portions, always freshly made just for you. Great atmosphere. Olympus is the best in the area. It's been our one and only favourite fish and chip restaurant since we moved to North Finchley. The quality and quantity of portions is more than enough for a hungry family. Highly recommended.

The fish was cooked to perfection. We ate grilled salmon, fried cod and fried haddock. The size of all fish was enormous. The restaurant was very clean and the tables were dressed with white cloths. It was a lovely evening out.

If you’re craving a hearty portion of great fish in the Finchley area, Olympus Fish Restaurant should be your first thought! This restaurant is excellent, potions are huge, and flavor is perfectly on point. I visited here for the first time recently and could not have been happier with my meal. I went with someone who comes here often, and even though I don’t remember the exact name of the fish I got, they told me that pretty much everything on the menu is excellent. The best fish and chips you'll find anywhere. Charcoal grilled fish absolutely delicious and huge. Chips made from REAL potatoes and very generous portions + very fresh and beautifully presented salad. Owner is welcoming and attentive. Other staff very friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Restaurant nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

We were a party of 4 Adults. There is a very big choice of menu as well as choices on a set menu. We all chose the set menu which consisted of a choice of Starter, Haddock or Plaice with Chips or New Potatoes, Salad and Tea or Coffee all for £20. Excellent portions, hot and beautifully fried fish, and value for money. Super, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Suggest booking to be safe.

The fish was delicious and fresh, portions were massive and I loved the complimentary salad that is given after ordering the fish. This place is a real gem I enjoyed my meal with my wife I will be back for more.

Delicious fish and chips . We had the fixed menu . Delicious Turkish starters followed by excellent matzo cored fish and chips . Brother had whole sea bass with jacket potato. Place was a bit quiet . But friendly attentive staff .

I always hated fish and chips because they are bland, but here they make it right: it's rich, flavourful, with an aroma that makes you droll way too much. the food is abundant too, so you will walk out full, like, really full, I couldn't finish the chips! lovely place, will definitely come back!

I ordered grilled cod 3 times because the man at the till had difficulty understanding. All 3 times he asked me if I wanted chips with it and I refused every time. After some wait I was told that the fish is ready and was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar with the chips. When looking into the box I saw fried fish. I asked to speak to the manger or owner of the establishment but the man at the till told me that was him. He then accused me of having paid the wrong price for what I wanted. The only positive thing was that he agreed to refund me. Staff at this restaurant do not have sufficient English language skills or knowledge of their menu so as to be able to serve customers up to a professional standard. The time before the person serving me gave me his number to contact so that he takes me on a date... Another time I sat at the restaurant for a meal. Even though I asked for fresh fish (this appeared on the menu), I was brought frozen. I will not be back here again and do not recommend this restaurant or take-away to anyone.

Excellent. Early evening meal with a very old friend, and food was really good. Ambience very contemporary, not the cheapest around but good value as a complete 'experience'. Don't be put off by the picture, it was early evening on a wintry January Monday. Will definitely be back ....

Magnificent fish on the grill...classic English style service

Grilled cod is amazing. We made a mistake with the order and the staff were really nice about it. Misunderstood my order as battered instead of grilled. They gave me the grilled anyway with no extra charge.

Honestly, the best fish and chips ever for a long long time. especially in my area. No need for ketchup the taste is superb and the service is second to none and Serdar made sure of that. I was at my wits end trying to find a decent fish and chip and the price being good and believe me this restaurant fits all that and more. Oh by the way the portions are so big so go in hungry, and again others are not that big and really i cannot speak high enough to my new weekly visit!!!

Large portion of cod and cooked really well.

What a TERRIBLE place. Paid £45 and they forgot all of our food - when we called them, they said ‘nothing we can do, 3 portions of chips isn’t a big deal, it’s not worth it’ The children refused to eat the food it was so nasty. The fish was soggy and NASTY!

I have eaten or rather had a takeaway cod and chips from this place. The fish was fried perfectly and the chips were golden and crisp on the outside while being soft inside. They were cooked to order so both were steaming hot. The staff are friendly - I can't see why they wouldn't be as we the customers are their life blood. Fish and chips is expensive everywhere you go these days so choose wisely. This place is a very good chippy.
