The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Having spent almost a week in Brixham and visiting most of the obvious nice dinner locations I can honestly say this one was by far the best. The service team were very good and as the front of house team gave a good impression. The restaurant was very well decorated with the customary nautical theme and looks high calibre, from the professional menus, good quality cutlery (we've seen some obvious "it's only a fork" mentality) to the well decorated and clean bathrooms. All high standard. The food was excellent. Both starters and main meals, very very high standard. If you are looking for 'fill a hole' fish and chips, this isn't your place. But if you want high standard food then this is the place. We will be back.

Lovely bakery and cafe serving delicious food and drinks which was evident by the queue waiting to go in. The staff were very nice and the breakfast option I went for was fresh and filling. The added bonus was that dogs were allowed in too and there was seating for children.

From a lovely friendly welcome to the minute we left, a lovely experience. The choice was great with added specials and on a lovely warm sunny day like to day, eating outside was perfect. We'll certainly be back soon

I try to visit this restaurant every time that I am in Hull. It is a wonderful dining experience. Warm welcome and great service without being in your face. Nothing even approaching pretentious. The quality of the fish and seafood is excellent and it is always cooked to perfection. I have had many different dishes here over the years and it is impossible to single out any one as the best. They cover the whole 'fishy' market from traditional cod and chips to lobster and a seafood platter. Highly recommended.

Good sit down fish and chips at a good price. Staff were all pleasant. Never been before but will definitely be returning.

Excellent place for seafood lovers, food is fantastic, service great and drinks at the bar delicious. We were looked after by Emi at this occasion, and really enjoyed whole experience Definitely will be back and would recommend to everyone!

Horrible fish & chip shop. Used to be one of the best under different owners, but now the fish batter is chewy with hardly any fish and soggy chips. Definitely would not recommend.

Wow how the mighty have fallen. What was a local treasure is now an expensive joke £10_70 gets you small cold and chips. Fish over cooked and greasy. Chips literally looked like the bottom if the basket hard small bits of potatoes with 4 or 5 actual chips When they advertise lunch time £6 for the same meal. What a rip off

Popped in today for fish and chips to take to the beach and eaten out of the paper (no better way to experience the seaside) The fish was huge and beautifully cooked. Batter was tasty and fish thick, long and flaky......perfect! Chips were great too. So much food even the dog got a bit (and she loved it too) Highly recommended and can't wait to return.

Excellent food, good service, nice pleasent atmosphere. Enjoyed our lunch. Great conclusion to our excursion to Borough Market.
