Best fish and chips in high Wycombe. We’re moving house tomorrow and will be sad to not have this fish shop as our local anymore. Most freshest fish, no skin, lovely light batter and great chops too. Always perfect. 10/10

Got order wrong. Ordered a battered sausage and got a normal sausage. Curry sauce was like water. Chips had loads of small hard ones. Better chip shops about than this one. Won’t be going there again.

Best fish we've ever had outside of sea side towns, batter light and golden, not greasy and beautiful flaky fish! Even the curry sauce is thick and one of the best I've ever tasted anywhere Hope the temporary closure doesn't last too long, as whenever we try to satisfy fish and chips cravings elsewhere its never quite the same!

Simple chippie with friendly service. The small portion of chips was huge! Average price but portion size makes good value. No sit in and like many independent businesses needing to keep overheads low, cash only.

Find the staff very helpful and kind , fish always tasty and good , plenty of chips , battered sausage definitely recommend always tasty and delicious 😋. Prices good value, service can vary depending on time you turn up! Some cases can be a long wait or turn up get served straight away! Definitely recommend it to anyone who haven't visited yet .

Today at 22 years old, I visited here from Slough with my dad, who used to come here with his dad when he was a little boy. It’s been generations and this fish shop is still the best, most loved. The owners remember us and little details about us which makes every visit so special. The recipe has not changed and it’s still the best fish and chips. The portion sizes have not changed one bit- as big and filling as always! The mushy peas are even so delicious, and i don’t even like peas. The plaice is definitely a special one- obviously cod is a classic and everyone loves it, but I would definitely give the plaice and chips a try. The taste is not any more fishy than any other fish, the texture is just moister and the fish is crispier. Plaice here is my fish of choice, but there’s other cool options like rock. While the price has increased slightly, the quality is still the same and I am more than happy with my meal. I look forward to coming here again, and when I am able to drive myself down here I can’t wait to share this lovely fish bar with my friends ☺️ Thank you New Garden for all these delicious childhood memories you made for us.

The best fish and chips place in the area. The prices are very affordable and you get quite a good amount for what you pay. I wanna highlight the chips, they are absolutely delicious. They're best seasoned with salt and vinegar. Additionally, the staff is super friendly. From what I know, it's a family business, very hard-working people and they get to know you after a few visits. Overall, it's one of my favourite places to eat at, I highly recommend.

The owners are both nice and friendly which is always a good sign when you first enter the shop. One of my favorite local chippies for their consistency. The price is high for their large/large portions (£12.50 @ time of writing) but honestly, given the quantity I would happily say it's justified since you're guaranteed to have left overs (which air-fry perfectly btw). 5 star all round! I wish I took photos because it looks great! (I'll update/redo my review next time I go!) Note: whilst weekend dinner service is packed, They're only moderately busy on weekdays, enough so that the food is fresh, but not so much that there's a long wait. Maybe I just got lucky.

Have been coming here for almost a year now, multiple times a month as the food is just too good to keep away from! Hot fresh and delicious every single time! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reasonably priced quality meal.

This fish n chip shop states it caters for Muslims/halal dietary requirements. However, every time I’ve gone here the fish and meat is all sat next to each other in their display. When you call they assure everything is cooked separately but then why do you keep the fish and meat together?! This is WRONG and not acceptable. All you Muslims who eat there need to stop until this is corrected. The lady in the shop just agrees and nods her head but nothing changes!

I went there one Friday evening. It my first time there and the lady had a wonderful smile and was so lovely. She even gave me a complimentary battered sausage as it was very late when I went there. You just don’t get kind of service from any other place in Wycombe. I strongly recommend one goes there & thank again.

Went to the shop today and the lady gave me yesterday’s chips which were refried. This is unacceptable as I wanted fresh food. Giving old food to your customers is unacceptable and I will not be coming back and I wouldn’t advise anyone else to go here. Disappointed and disgusted. Clearly the owner cannot take feedback and won’t admit when they are wrong. If you are able to give fresh food to all your other customers why did you give me old food. Admitting and owning up to when your wrong is what a good and reputable business does. Very poor customer service to say the customer is incorrect and it’s false, this shows no accountability. I would give zero stars if I could.

Walked half a mile from my hotel after reading the reviews (remembering to stop at a cash point on the way) I had to Google Rock fish and was looking forward to it. The family run business was really welcoming and the food was excellent. Id definitely recommend trying rock fish - slightly more delicate in flavour than cod, delicious battered! Chips were exceptional, just like my favourite back home! Don't forget, cash only! 😂

Huge tasty portions for a good price, didn’t know about cash payment only before but plenty of machines nearby.

Fish and chips are fairly good but disappointingly they no longer accept cards. Given how cashless most legitimate businesses are you have to question why they don't ..... Nearest cash point is in the Eden Center so won't be going there anymore.

Coming to this shop for 20 years, and my grandad used to bring my dad since he was a kid too- so we’ve been frequenting this chippy for a total of over 50 years. Despite the management/owners changing, the business has remained the same. Lovely people, lovely food- I’ve tried fish and chips all over London but nothing beats this place. Family owned business, who saw me and my siblings grow up. Even recognised us after 2 years of not coming! So happy to have eaten here again and I can’t wait to eat here again. Will never stop buying fish and chips from here!! On the note of food, I always get the plaice and chips. Tastes the best, not greasy, very generous portions, and unbeatably crispy batter. Mushy peas are delish too , despite peas being the only vegetable I don’t eat….!

Consistently great food, I've never been disappointed here. The wait is never overly long, and the staff are friendly. Quite a good variety on the menu, all with reasonable pricing. You need to check the sidestreets for parking if you're in a car, as this is right on quite a busy street where you'll find it hard to stop right outside.

Have been a regular customer as a family for many, many years. Driving from Marlow especially as these are by far the best, freshly cooked chips around. Fish is battered and fried to order, curry sauce is perfection. Expect to wait but I assure you it's well worth it.

I always call first to place my order then arrive 10 to 20 minutes later to collect and pay. The service is always excellent. I have sampled all the chip shops in High Wycombe and I would recommend this one as the best one in Town. The people are very friendly. There is always somewhere to park within a couple of minutes walk.

This is a lovely little fish shop near the Eden Shopping Centre. We come shopping and then get dinner from here. I normally get cod and chips and my sister gets Plaice which she's quite fond of so I would recommend their plaice too if you want to try something different. Very very friendly service and the quality never drops. Remains at a top standard. The fish always has a golden crispy batter and the chips are made fresh. Highly recommend.
