This is the second time I’ve visiting the fish and chip shop great quality at a great price. I also tried a can of bitter shandy they sell in there defo worth the buy.

I would be careful about what meals customers share. Some 5 star pictures look bland and unappetising. They obviously enjoyed the food, but they cannot take good pictures.

After what was already a very bad day, I managed to fall on my face as a walked in to the shop. The chap behind the counter was very kind. Gave me a bottle of water, sympathy and some space to recover. Basically restored my faith in humanity. Also, their food is miles better than The Old Town Friar.

Always spotless,extremely friendly staff and the food is always lovely.Their own tartare sauce is really tasty and they do spam fritters .The chips are by far the best fish shop chips i have had anywhere.

Great Fish and Chips Short opening times

Visited today at lunchtime, chips were inedible as they were rock hard like they'd been cooked again after going cold, curry sauce was cooked in a polystyrene pot in the microwave (no joke) and the sausage was full of fatty lumps and I think left in the fryer overnight. All in all not the greatest experience. Oh and ridiculously expensive. Chips weren't even sliced!

Friendly and polite service. Great fish and chips edible even when they get cold which is unusual. Easter Friday supper was sourced from Fat Fish; purchased a large battered haddock with large chips. They were more than enough to serve two hungry adults so it was nice to share it. By the time I reached home with my take away and served it the food did go cold but still proved delicious to eat. The batter and chips were not greasy and the potatoes used were great. Chips are beautifully chunky 😋😋

Another more recent visit and the freshly cooked haddock was so white and fresh. Add a generous portions of chips and some good chat whilst waiting and it's pretty much as good as it can be.

Visited this place today, and I have to say the most tastiest fish and chips around. The fish was so flaky and batter was delicious. Chips were lovely, and even though it’s a bit out of the way, it’s worth it and will be back for sure! This will become our new regular go to chippy!!

The best fish and chip shop by far in Bucks. I live in Beaconsfield where we have two award winning chip shops but I still travel to this one as the fish & chips are fantastic.

Always a good selection. The fish is to die for, it is one of the very few fish and chip shops who use a wet fishkeeper in the south of England and there lies the difference

Sadly I called to place an order just after they reopened and as per the message on their window. I was spoken to so rudely that I will never use them again. Sad as they were good and local 😔

I always get chips from here and last night my sis and I did and they were so oily 😖. They were shiny and mushy, it’s such a shame as I always rate this place and it was the best one in the area. We both felt pretty ill after eating them. I hope it was just a one off 🙄

Got recommended to try this place about a year ago and never got around to, always thought it was too far to travel. Wish I had gone sooner it's worth the 15 minute drive. Friendly and polite staff, made to feel welcome and the food, wow amazing fish was so white and fresh not greasy at all, again fresh chips not greasy. I will be recommending this chip shop to everyone.

We are locals and often buy at 'Smiles' fish and chips, purely because our girls think that is the place to go!! That where it gets interesting... Don't bother with them, Friday night when you would expect the fish to be at its freshest, Yes !! Dry rubbery chips. FORGET THEM , DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, GO ANOTHER MILE TO THE FAT FISH IN WOOBURN GREEN, MILES APART. The fish was amazing and chips fresh . The Fat Fish wonderful. Thank you

We consider ourselves very lucky to have this as our local chippy. Very friendly service, good sized portions of freshly cooked fish and chips (lots of other things available on the menu). We will be back soon.

Always good fish and proper chips

My five year old son Charlie met Ilya (the owner of the Fat Fish) on a train home from London and since then has been looking forward to the day we went to his shop for fish and chips. Ilya didn’t disappoint! Such a friendly, kind, welcoming man and absolutely delicious fish and chips, freshly cooked. Generous portions, tasty chips and the fish is superb with the batter just right, not too thick. It made Charlie’s day that Ilya remembered him, we will be coming back for certain! El personal es muy amable, la tienda limpio en una fila de edificios, tradicional gran variedad en el menú, algunos de mi familia son verduras y su hamburguesa vegetal siempre cae bien! - y las patatas fritas son algunas de las mejores partes, no duro o crujientes o demasiado grasos. Muy grandes porciones generosas, un par de maletas de tamaño felizmente alimenta un familia de 4 con fichas de la izquierda libre! También tiene menús para niños la última vez que me registré, así que es genial para toda la familia! No tengo nada malo que decir de este lugar, nunca he decepcionado! :)

Tough chips, must have been cooked a couple of hours before we arrived. Why? Disappointed as we made our visit based on Tripadvisor ratings Service average.

Usually call to place my orders then go collect 10 minutes later fresh & hot. Very clean and staff are always pleasant. Parking can be a problem if you have to drive there although there is a car park to the rear. Enjoy

Buen pescado y patatas fritas - antiguo Englishmens eso es lo que pedimos y eso fue lo que conseguimos es extraordinario. Esperar un poco y conseguir los mejores y luego disfrutar. Servicio impresionante. Simplemente no te puedes equivocar. Es obvio y los precios son razonables, especialmente para esta zona.
