The best restaurants serving Seafood food in England

Delicious meal, friendly, attentive staff and brilliant sunset beach views. What more could you want!? Certainly one of our favourite places in Cornwall.

Says it shuts at 6pm, the grill was shut at 1630, we reluctantly were served pizzas at 1645, the staff were closing the place around us whilst we were eating…. The price is ridiculously expensive, for extremely poor quality food. The old restaurant used to be so much better, quicker this place changes the better, it’s a shambles.

Visited here as I saw a sign for fish, chips and side for £13.50, so decided to sample their food as both my son and I were hungry. Wish I hadn't bothered. No toilets here and the nearest one is a coffee halfway down Penarth. Food took about ten mins (certainly wasn't for fresh chips) and the fish, whilst freshly cooked and reasonably tasty was OK, the chips were rock hard and had clearly been cooked earlier that day and were not fresh. The side is a tiny plastic tub, which I would estimate to be about half a tablespoon, and so my mushy peas and sons beans were gone in a second. I should have complained and had a refund, as £34 for two meals and a drink is an absolute rip off. If you like abysmal school dinner slop, then visit this place. There is a lovely restaurant near by which offers X2 courses for £15..please, avoid this place. Shocking food.

Came across this place when my local team played Bamber Bridge FC and was mightily impressed. The fish and chips were beautiful!

Do your self a favour and keep on walking! Seriously, this place is bad, like really bad, actually the worst fish and chips I ever had. Fish was far from fresh with a horible texture, like it was defrosted a few days ago and the batter was a horrendous colour from the dirty oil it was cooked in and chips, well they were vile as well, made from what appeared to be bruised potatoes and they seem to have been reheated, very odd. We literally had to throw the lot in bin and I did taste lest a foul taste for quite some time. Honestly, you're probably best avoiding this place.

How is it possible that a fish and chip shop that has been established so long cannot make fish and chips. The writing was on the wall as soon as I arrived which was approx 18.55 on Saturday 3 May 2025. As I entered I asked for fish and chips to eat in, a simple request. I was immediately informed that they were closing in 35 minutes. Not a great welcome. However, I sat and was served promptly ( not surprisingly as there was more staff than customers, in fact about 6 girls talking non stop) The fish was over cooked, and I think was a take on tempura batter with black flecks!!!! The chips had obviously been cooked 30 minutes earlier and I received my fair share of scraps. I learnt later that their latest food hygiene certificate was rated 2/5, no wonder I felt rough the day later. Avoid like the plague.

Nice venue for continental style eating and drinking I.e. Al fresco whilst watching the comings and goings in the village square. Relatively wide selection of foods from a Chippy. Very popular as a bar. Limited space and facilities inside when weather is less inviting.

Poor. Very poor. Used to be great when Webster's. But if you want over-priced cold chips this is the place to go!

All the orders were freshly cooked and served hot. Absolutely decent sized portions for every dish.

Abit pricey but always fresh lovely food 😋

HORRIBLE experience. A judgemental middle aged woman with a big nose and glasses served me the last time i came in. She was very hostile and dismissive, ruined the whole experience and i will never be coming again. She shouldn’t even be working there, she comes off as a workplace bully. I’ve read other reviews mentioning the same issue and I’m completely and utterly disgusted.

Used to be a great chippy,always busy with organised service but over the last couple of years the service has gone down hill, they're to busy with deliveroo orders than their own customers who can be bothered to go there, you now instead of queuing and getting served like it used to be you order your food then stand around like a stray animals and wait for your food because of deliveroo orders a good 5mins plus, they've just ruined the place

This is my local fish and chippy and I'm quite pleased that I don't have to travel for a good one. On my doorstep and I love the food here. The tikka chicken and chips is a guilty pleasure and I'm always a satisfied customer when it comes to the comfort of fish and chips. The queues speak for themselves and as an ex Londoner, the prices are reasonable. Speedy, effective staff who get the job done. Thanks for your lovely business. 😍
