Excellent food always service with a smile

Can’t even deliver to my address when they have done in the past it’s a joke very disrespectful on the phone

appalling service left me on the phone nearly 10 minutes whattt and then have the audacity to say they can’t deliver to my address even though they have delivered 5 times to my address whoever was on the phone needs disciplinary soon as possible

I was recommended this place via a social media site as we fancied a change. People said it’s the best chip shop around so we thought we would give it a try. I had chicken meat and chips The others had Fish and chips Kebab meat and chips And a bag of chips The service was ok and we was served quickly they was very busy. However the food “YUK” My first mouthful I had there was a small stone in there and as I bit I chipped a bit of my tooth towards the back of my mouth. So it all went in the bin I was so annoyed. Fish and chips were the worst they had tasted. Hubbys words were “ the fish is hard not flaky “ He had a few mouthfuls and threw it in the bin saying “it’s disgusting. My son had the kebab meat and chips (he loves his food) he said “mom I can’t eat this the kebab meat tastes weird “ so he slung that in the bin. My daughter had the bag of chips she ate them she said they were ok. So all in all the £26 I paid at that chippy was a waste of time and I have to pay more to get my chipped tooth sorted now. 😡 I will not be returning there again. I don’t know why people are raving about it to be honest. The food is vile. The photo is the stone I bit into cannot believe it has been made bigger to show you it’s only small but it was rock hard and chipped my tooth. I tried ringing them but no answer and didn’t want to waste more petrol going over there to complain.

It's never ready . What a waste. Maybe being polite will help in the future. Don't waste your time with unprofessional people

We popped in this evening and was greeted by a lovely friendly lady who went the extra mile! Thank you. The food was delicious too!

The chicken meat must have been the last of the last. Paid for large Kabab but only got a large box ! The food would have fitted easy into a normal sized box. Back to that chicken ….DRY , scabby , depleted are words that come to mind. One more , tasteless !! I thought I’d get some moneys worth from the chips but again sadly not. They had a heavy taste of nasty grease. Can’t think what they had been cooked in. Tried giving it away to someone less fortunate as for the equally disgusting price of 7.50 but was re rejected. It wasn’t even worthy of stopping in the bin in my kitchen. The whole thing stunk my house out the the highest of heavens. It smelt what I can only describe as dog food. I’ve only encounter this smell from dog food !! While I’m at it I’ll divulge that “ less fortunate” soul that rejected it. It was actually my dog !!! He looked at me as if to say …. “ what have I done wrong “ when I offered it him they cried at the smell !!! I thought maybe he changed his mind and wanted it after he seen it go in the bin but on re offering it him he ran upstairs. I took it in the cold and 2am to my outside bin the smell was so bad. I’m now awaiting a yellow fob on my bin when the bin men refuse to take it too. Bet these people blame the price hike for less custom. Truth is these chip shops are dead !! Nothing to buy from them unless you want to pay lots for the worse of food. I can literally make better chips myself and I’m in no way a chip chef as these guys claim to be. That chicken meat though was inexcusable. I get you are used to selling people trash with a straight face but to sell me what they sold me and take £7.50 from me was enough to warrant the police being called. Wish now I had. Instead I’ll just write a review. Never again will I go to any chip shop !!! None !!! Never ! Unless maybe I go to that place Black Country museum. Maybe thay can still cook chips and get only products. I’m sorry but I’ve not tasted a lamb kabab in around 15 years !! They look similar but have zero taste. The chicken is all tastless too. It’s all rubbish. I go abroad and only then reminded that my taste buds do work it’s just not being exercised here in the uk You need to cook yourself if u want half decent food. Even then your limited as for the crap produce in stores but this what they are putting out in these chip shops only serves those renting rooms that didn’t learn how to cook before they was kicked out. Or the mother that would rather spend time in the bingo then cook something for her children. I actually feel bad for anyone that’s life is so bad they enjoy eating this type of food!! Or more to the point people that for whatever reason can’t cook or feel it too hard. Or only know food from buying processed and warming it up in the oven. Do not fuel yourself with any of this. If u are massively unhealthy and don’t look good this is why !! Stop buying this crap. All of it. If your gonna do that to your taste buds just eat simple and save your money. Buy porridge oats and fruit. Turn your life around.

Good portion sizes, pleasant staff, quick service.

Waited in line for 15 minutes. Get to order and told that there is a 15 minute wait for Donner/chicken meat. Only one person in line had a small kebab. Time to start looking after the customers that take the effort to visit the shop and not hold up customers for your online orders. Been going here for years but enough is enough

Best chippy that I know. Just had a delivery of SF chicken and chips. It was all so fresh that we had to wait a short while for it to cool enough to be able to eat it! When we did eat, it was perfect. Highly recommended.

Was passing on my way home from the hospital. It was tea time and I thought I would give them a try. Very pleasantly surprised with the fish and battered chips. Will definitely be going back for more.

Service is atrocious no matter how little customers there are in it always takes age's.

Sadly not as good as it used to be. Twice in the past 3 months we seem to have had maybe cod from lunchtime served at teatime.Very dry and not very appealing. Will be trying elsewhere. Sorry.

Really friendly staff and amazing fried chicken portions. The chips were plentiful and cooked to perfection. Was pleasantly surprised with the cost of my meal very cheap compared to other fish and chip shops.

Had mini fish and chips special paid £5, food was really average, no real taste to fish not sure what type it was quite bland even with the curry sauce.

Looks lovely after recently reopening. Prices are good, food is a good quality. Manager/owner is very friendly. Feel that customer service dips when he is not in. Totally ignored by staff when I got to the front of the queue. Instead they engaged with the customer behind me who was ordering 4 chicken nuggets for her dog. I am used to freshly made orders being made on entry but to completely ignore customers that have already been waiting is not acceptable. Not only did they let the lady place her order but went on to discuss quantities with another staff member and checked prices of each quantity on the till. I walked out without placing my order on this occasion as there was ample opportunity for staff to acknowledge me, even if it was a simple "bear with me". The manager/owner on the other hand always makes all customers feel valued and welcome.

Food is good but extremely long wait because the kebab knife broke. Instead of pushing me towards somthing that was ready they continued to try and fix the cutter an left me waiting over 25 minutes only to end up ordering somthing different.

food is perfect i had kebab meat and chips it was beautiful i got served by a very pleasant happy young girl she was very polite well mannered! she wears glasses and hair was in a bun on her head top member of staff all the other women was very polite as well but how she was with me was really brilliant been served a couple of times and always have the same customer service! how clean this shop is never been in a chip shop as clean as this one everything bang on :)

Been hear a few times and the food is indifferent. Had donner meat and chips, the donner meat was so dry and dark as well as greasy. The meat had obviously been reheated several times and was inedible. Was like trying to eat cardboard. I will not be using this shop again.

Been coming to this chip shop for about a year. Usually come on friday, george and the girls are always pleasant and the foods always bang on. Came on a wednesday this week and food was very average and the girl serving was very rude. Terrible customer service.

It’s normally a nice place to eat, been going here for years but tonight the food was disgusting, wasn’t able to eat it. Had to throw it in the bin. The chips were hard and stale, they forgot to add bbq sauce and literally added a drop of mayo. To make it even worse I paid over £10 for 2 meals (Via ubereats) which would Normal cost around £6/7. Very disappointed and a waste of money unfortunately.

Nice shop that sells usual chip shop food. Do either battered or plain chips. Staff really friendly.

I have been a regular customer to ocean breeze for approx 10 years now. The current owners are doing a great job and have retained some of the original staff too which is great. Despite the pandemic restrictions they are operating as normal but with COVID measures in place e.g 3 customers max at a time.. I'll continue to use Ocean Breeze in the future and made easier when we move house to be around the corner. What would make this even better would be to offer delivery but not delivery companies though

Been going here since it opened and wouldnt go nowhere else fantastic staff nothing too much trouble but most importantly the good is topnotch. Even my friends from willenhall come all the way over for chip shop night. 10/10 highly reccomended
