Been a regular here for years; hasn’t ever failed to give and has on the whole been great food. The mixed meat and masala fish with naan have always been go-to items to get for the family and have always been tasty! The chips as well are good on the whole like the other menu items; just wished it was fried with less oil as that is an issue which has appeared sometimes.

Quality chippy, get very busy on weekends (line out the door) but well worth the wait for the fresh food! Great service from friendly staff, extra food options i.e curry, masala fish ect... very fairly priced, plenty of parking opposite with lots of other takeaway options available within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Best chippy in Bilston. Battered chips are fantastic, kebabs, fish etc. are all good and reasonably priced given the current climate.

Always used this chippy but it's not nice anymore, chips are dry and everything is hard and dry. It's only been the last twice no issues before then

Ahh, the good old chippy Hay. Well, i stopped going here some time back. When the new owners took over, it only took 4 or 5 visits after, and that was it. The food has never tasted the same again even though some of the staff are still the same. You do get a good portion of food, but it's the quality of food for me. Sometimes, you do have to wait as there is a queue, but that's normal at most places you go to depending on the time you go. Even though the staff do work as quickly as they can, the food needs time to cook. And as for the price, it's getting way too much for the quality of food you get now. P.s. I've opted for a new takeaway about 3 shops down called New Punjab Junction

Since the take over amonth ago by the new management the food is amazing. Heard it was good from friends who live in the area so I travelled from Wolverhampton. Not disappointed. Food was fresh, chicken was Crispy, fish was beautifully cooked. Most important the place was clean…

As always the food from this establishment is great quality and at really good prices too. Been here several times and never had any issues. There is a good selection on the menu to choose from. Oh and of course the orange chips are lovely too. Highly recommended.

I had kebab meat and chips tasted rubbery. Half an hour later me and the kids who ate some all being sick . Quality of kebab not good . Avoid

This Fish & Chip shop in Bilston, offer a good range of takeaway food from such an establishment. The staff are quite friendly and the food is usually freshly cooked. They were awarded a Five Star Food Hygiene Rating in August 2022, so ignore the poor reviews and claims of rats on the premises, as these reports are clearly untrue. A long standing problem, are the few inconsiderate customers, who insist on parking on double yellow lines, near to the roundabout, causing issues for other road users and pedestrians, when there is a free car park directly opposite!

I had a cheese burger meal does not include drink £4:80 its ok nothing to shout about Mcdonald across the road should of went there Instead for extra £1 you get a drink and more tastier than the cheese burger in gills to be honest don't think I will use it again..

Nice freshly cooked chips- the batter on my fish was a little bit soft would have liked it a bit more crispy...Hubby ordered chicken tikka donner in a nann. Would visit again

The food is decent but the service is very slow. It would be nice to have the option of plain chips rather than just battered.

I do drive 20min to go here because it is worth the travel! Crispy chips but nice and soft on the inside! The chips portion size is shockingly big.

Fish was reheated. Mushy peas were absolutely vile. The whole order went into the bin. Absolutely disgusting.

We use gills at least once a week., even though there is a wide choice we always have the same. Mixed meat with battered chips. And a pie and chips. All of the staff are friendly. It was also the only food outlet we tipped over the xmas period. Bang on boys.

We went here after waiting over an hour and a half for food to be delivered from a another local chip shop. We should have gone here first, absolutely lovely food, great portions. The scampi was amazing! Definitely gonna be eating from here again.

One of the worst mini fish and chips, I've had for a while.. There was more batter on the chips than on the fish. Fish was swimming in oil. Just Awful!

Chips are great, my reason for giving such a low score . There are three different types of kebabs in the shop and I observed a staff taking one off fire and out to the back then stack raw chicken onto the already cooked/half cooked chicken and start cutting from the bottom bit . So the bottom is cooked but the top is raw chicken. This a very dangerous practice

Always get a tasty lil meal from here! Fish is always fresh and the batter not too thick or heavy... the chips are great too! Also partial to a bit of their fried chicken which is never dry... and they always are pleasant in there! Definitely would recommend to anyone fancying a nice chippy if you've not been before!

Previously cheap value and high quality food. Do not know what has happened. prices have been increased and quality lowered. ordered mini fish and chips and there was bones in the fish. Extremely poor and lazy

We had a meeting at work today and they wanted curry, rice & nann. The staff organised this for us, they were very friendly and helpful, can honestly say it went down a treat, food was very tasty, highly recommend. Will definately use them again.
