I never leave reviews but was really impressed!! Had jumbo battered sausage & chips today & it was better than others I have tried, served hot & fresh. Service was great, will definitely visit again.

Had a tasty meal of fish and chips which I thought was good value. The man who served me was very friendly.

The fish and chips were okay, but the staff was rude. Look elsewhere and spend your money better.

fish and chips here was a major disappointment. The fish was undercooked and left a slimy texture that was off-putting, while the batter was bland and greasy. The chips were tasteless and soggy, lacking the crispy texture you’d expect. The entire meal felt like it had been thrown together without much thought or care. Overall, it was a poor experience and definitely not worth the calories. Had to pay extra for tartare sauce which is ridiculous and I happened to be served by the owners of the places who was a couple and was greeted with bad attitude by them.

Such a pathetic person , we were about 10 people came from Bristol along with toddlers and kids and one of us wanted to eat something different We ordered a food for 10 peoples and one of us bought a food from outside for him and kid but he refused us to bring that food with us despite ordering food for other 10 persons . He didn’t even think about kids and toddlers and one of us were forced to eat outside along with pram and kid :( . NEVER go there with families

Really yummy food. We had chicken nuggets, battered sausage, cod and chips. Food was freshly cooked so nice and hot. Everything was cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced too. Shame we were on holiday and this isn't our local as would be back regularly! Highly recommend.

This was our first time visiting bath wanting some fish & chips, came across this fish & chip shop, we walked in I could tell you this wasn't run by English people 😏 we asked for 3x chips with gravey waited 10 minutes still no chips,chips came no gravey, gravey is made to order by kettle waited another 5 minutes 2x tubs came for 2x chips then had to wait another 5 minutes for another gravey, gravey came but had ordasity to charge me again for another gravey would I return here not a chance 🤣🤣

My regular cod and chips had regular only in the name -- got a disappointingly tiny portion for takeaway, which was also greasy, and a bit overpriced even as a regular size.

Fantastic fish and chips with a beef sausage. We ate it inside upstairs and had the great view looking over Parade Gardens.

Eaten twice here as this was the quickest halal food option. The fish and chips is tasty, though the sauces are an extra charge. For the location and hunger satisfaction this is a good option.

We tried multiple stuff the fish and chips ( to be honest i never liked this dish so my opinion might not be trusted) , fried chicken, mushroom chicken pie , fried Mushroom and i have only one word to describe it ( disappointment) literally nothing has taste even their tartar sauce. Th good thing is the view which is amazing and the staff were really nice.

Lovely fish and chips shop in centre of Bath. Food was fresh and tasty. The owners were super welcoming and friendly. The upstairs sitting area offers great views of Parade gardens. Definitely recommend it!

The young man who waited on us and cooked our meals was a great cook and very customer oriented. The fish and chips dinners he prepared were delicious.

Second time visiting Bath Fish & Chips and it has changed. There is now seating downstairs as well as upstairs where there are pretty views out the windows. But we had the same great fish & chips that we remembered from several years ago. Fish was fresh and fries were crispy.

Ive given 3 stars because both times i got fish and chips the chips were refried, not fresh, and the portions way too small for any standard adult, the portion was simply too small both times and i managed to eat it all and was still hungry afterwards. I would only go here again if i had no other option.

The place is quite modest, if you are looking to eat a fresh fish and chips we were hungry and happy with the meal. Homemade sauces or coleslaw also very tasty. Everything fresh and ready in 5 minutes. I am giving all five stars. If you are coming to eat and move with your day than I recommend.

Underrated if you ask me. The fish was melt in the mouth perfect. The chips we had without salt and vinegar and tasted delicious and weren't greasy at all. 5 stars all round.

Delicious fish & chips with options of flavoured curry and off course salt & vinegar

Visited on a chilli wet day the proprietor was very polite, took our order for two people climbed the winding staircase up to the first floor. Not long before our food arrived piping hot and fresh. Probably not Baths twee eating But highly recommended So clean and a reasonable price. Much Recommend.

The quantity is large and the food is fresh. I tried the chicken and fish, they were all delicious, but I also tried the round ones that were cake and they were not good at all, so don’t be as philosophical as I am. Try the fish and potatoes and you will like them, according to what the employee said. The chicken is halal ✔️ but to be sure, ask about it.. You must add vinegar and try the garlic sauce for them 😭. The view from the second floor is awesome.. a little gimmicky, but for the amount of food it is worth it.

Tried the large cod chips and mushy peas hadn't had a decent chippy tea for years and wasn't disappointed!!all I needed was a nice cup of tea to wash if down which they don't do but we'll impressed and will be back 100%

Tasty and fresh cod and chips, but 2 cod and one portion of chips, one polystyrene cup of mushy peas, eaten out of box with wooden fork for £22 was a bit steep. The seller hadn’t heard of Hake and bluntly told us he doesn’t serve tea.

I went to Bath fish and chips yesterday and what a treat! Delicious fresh fish and chips, great value, a really nice and friendly owner and a beautiful view! What's not to love, I highly recommend it.

£16 for mediumish cod and chips. Had to ask for lots of 'bottom of the chip pan' tiny hard dark brown bits to be exchanged for actual chips which the owner did & apologised after which was nice. Those shpukd not have been guven to a customer. Cod batter over cooked & hard in places Chips nice. Cosy cafe. Couple running it. i was happy the chef chatted had a laugh I was the only customer when 2 others left after their meal. I was so hungry! Nice meal but the quality is not good enough for that price. I have given 4 stars hoping the food can get better. The chef did seem to care so its mystifying why he gave me the original meal which was clearly unappetising looking and well below good quality....

Some of the finest fish and chips I’ve had, ever.

Note: This fish and chip place has changed hands at least once since I reviewed it and, therefore, I can't vouch for what it is like now. I can't vouch for other people's experience, but I couldn't fault their regular cod and chips. They recently opened so I expect it's taken a little while to get it perfect and to me it was. It came with a good-sized piece of fish coated in batter that melted in the mouth. Chips were crispy on the outside breaking open to reveal fluffy potato inside. (If you're tourist visiting Bath that's what traditional fish and chips is supposed to be like!) I find it strange that people think it's very overpriced. I paid £8.50 which isn't much more than the going rate locally. It's not cheaper than Seafoods in Kingsmead Square. (As of the date of this review, I think their takeaway medium cod and chips is £6.70.) Ultimately, I'd say you pay for what you get and although there are a number of good chip shops in Bath this a good choice. In terms of the place itself, I would say that although shiny and new, the venue lacks any real atmosphere. They are planning to open seating upstairs so I would hope they would invest in giving the whole place a distinct character as it feels like a very generic old style chippy currently. But I'm rating the food here and it was excellent. Please put out some condiments as well as salt and vinegar. Some of us like mayonnaise with our chips (I know, blame family holidays to the Netherlands for that sacrilege) and, of course, tomato ketchup and they should be included in the price.

The chips, fish, and chicken were all crispy and delicious. The eating areas were a little messy, but the view/location was good. The staff was very nice, and made our food in quick time!

Well if I could no star review then I would This is the worst fish and chip shop I e ever been in The staff were very unhelpful is putting it mildly I asked if they could do my wife a fish without batter not an unreasonable request the man behind the counter said he couldn't do that Then he said why not have a normal fish in batter then just take the batter off We should have left the shop but I thought we'll give it another try and we chose something else and when we finally got I knew we should have left I had steak and kidney pie chips and mushy peas What I got was a pie that resembled something like cat food in pastry and the peas were that watery they ran off my plate I don't normally leave reviews but I felt people should know just how poor this place is

Fresh, fast, and great fish and chips! Even the regular size is pretty large; we easily could have split for lunch. The owner was very nice and sitting upstairs was sweet.

I ordered two large fish and chips and both of the fish were absolute tiny and each portion had only a handful of chips. The portions were very expensive for the amount of food I got. Very rude staff/owner who did not listen to our genuine complaints. Absolutely terrible service. Will not be coming back and do not recommend!

We booked the upper floor for a dozen people. they served us very quickly and everything was very very good. Worth a visit.

Nice food, only problem I had was that one member of staff was handling food, then crawled under the work surface on his hands and knees then picked up the plates on the other side. There did not appear to be any hand washing. It was quite over priced for what it was, there was a lot of batter on the fish.

As the name suggests, this is a fish and chips specialty store. It's not something that can be differentiated, but the price is reasonable and the portions are large, so I'm very satisfied!

Worst fish and chips ever- chips were old& cold. When I asked for fresh chips they just reheated the same chips in oil. Overpriced and not worth it! Wouldn’t recommend if visiting bath not a traditional fish & chips…

Nothing good then good old bag of chips but i wouldn't come hear again for them sorry guys and for the price definitely not worth it. Oh and you need to get a fly light in the shop was a little off putting waiting int he que and 🪰 buzzing about.

Under new management and really bad asked for a large fish and chips and was hardly any chips and the fish was really small , unlike the last people who owned it A large fish and chips could feed 3 lol this could hardly feed one and the Cheops where are dry Don’t Go !!!!

Bath is a beautiful city this is a terrible chip shop, small re heated portion every chip was was like eating a stone do not eat from here.

Left very disappointed. Came here with my grandparents who both had cod and chips and as for me, someone who is veg for HEALTH reasons, I left empty handed because the restaurant claims to offer vegetarian food but it’s cook in the same pan as the meat so actually they don’t offer anything vegetarian. Definitely a let down and an easy step to do better.

In a city as expensive as Bath to eat decently, it's lucky to come across this Fish & Chips. Don't ask for a lot, but you fill your belly

Terrible fish & chips. Chips were either the day before chips ( reheated) or the oil they use very cheap product. The fish for large was predominantly greasy batter with I'd say fish fingers size fish....very different. Stay away. Bath was beautiful we were for two nights at the Abbey Hotel which is next to this chippy.

The chap upstairs in the seating area was expecially friendly and gave good customer service. Thank you! There was a toilet upstairs and beside the window you could see the piltney bridge etc.

We had our food delivered by deliveroo.The chips were chewy and unedible,almost like reheated chips.This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks this has been like it.deffinately going down hill

Cod was good size, hot and good quality, chips mildly warm lots of tail ends to hard to eat, 2x battered sausages came without batter on, so overall not a good experience for money spent

Just had fish, fish&chips and fish basket. It was the worst that I have ever tried in my life, threw all to bin. Tastless, uncooked, smelly, oilly.

No issues with food or service but I ordered a 50cl bottle of Prosseco at £25 and this was charged by Uber Eats, but what was delivered was a 20cl bottle the value of which was £5.50. I left a phone message to this effect but this has not been responded to yet.

I first the fish and chips here two years ago. Still tastes as good as it did back then. Lovely staff. But I didn’t particularly enjoy their chilli jam 😅

This place offers both take away (on the ground floor) and eating insade (on the upper floor). We decided to try eating in and ordered fish and chips for lunch and let me tell you - we got a huge portion of food on our plates for a fair price. One of the best fish and chips dishes I have ever ordered. The food made my stomach full for the rest of the day. If you find yourself in Bath, definitely try Bath fish and chips!

Its always closed…. On the site there are different opening hours that the actual timing, i needed to walk all way long to find out its closed at 8:30, when they say it works till 9 on the site. Highly disappointed, never seen it open…

Quite often fish and chip shops can be rubbish which I don’t understand and have had a number of bad experiences. This place was excellent, the food was cooked perfectly, quick service. It’s a bit expensive but that’s due to the location. I would highly recommend

I had a snack box with cod bites and got mushy peas as an extra this cost me £6.70 and was worth every penny it was huge and was so delicious. I would highly recommend if you are in the area to come here and eat this. I would like to try the seafood basket if I get to visit Bath again.
