I recently had the pleasure of trying out the burger meal at this restaurant, and I must say, it was quite good! The fries were golden and crispy, just the way I like them, the crispy chicken patty that was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside in a soft sesame seed bun was amazing. Overall, it was a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience

Warm welcome and the fish and chips were perfect. Food was lovely and hot. The batter was lovely and crispy not greasy. Would definitely go again.

Was visiting Keynsham today.. Loved it.. Had lunch here.. Excellent service!! I had cod and chips, my partner had gammon egg and chips, we both had a cup off tea... Loved the food, service, cleanliness and warm welcome.. It was a great end to a few hours pluss spent going through Keynsham town. Plan to come back!! For another cod and chips.

The owner is one of the best people I know and I always have a laugh with him when me and my girlfriend go in, prices are quite cheap and the food is brilliant best service and it is always done so quick keep up the good work!

Popped in 30mins before closing to sit down for pie and chips. There were pies and chips already cooked ready to go. The staff were reluctant to serve us but when they finally did take the order, rather than plate it up straight away, they ignored us and started to serve someone else. Needless to say we demanded our money back and walked out.

Lovely food, but as with everywhere prices have gone up so a chippy tea is now a real treat - would go back here for a monthly treat!

Lovely fish and chips and great value for money, fish portions very big (we usually order 2 positions between 4!) Staff are friendly and polite, highly recommended.

Very expensive for such a little amount. Chips were raw in the middle, double fried old chips. Absolutely vile. Spent £7.50 and got a small bag of stale uncooked chips which was supposed to be a large and 2 small mediocre battered sausages… poor

Can it be almost two years since we last visited Keynsham and their wonderful Keynsham Fish Bar? Anyway, the quality and service were excellent as before! And a special price for two OAPs! Everything very clean, very efficient, so pleasant - and they actually had cod on the menu, unlike many other restaurants. Highly recommended!

What a brilliant chippy. Sat inside the restaurant and had some really great fish and chips. Very friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Disappointed that I am unable to access this property as a wheelchair user, as I am unable to enter and they don't have a ramp. There is a takeaway chip shop across from them but it would be nice to "eat in" on occasion.

Got haddock which was horrible. Got four fish as he said they were small. Threw two away and couldn’t eat mine. Husband ate his as he was hungry. The chips were anaemic not sure what fat they use but wouldn’t go there again. Not sure if the cod would have been any better. They looked like the frozen fish you buy from the supermarket!

My companion and I stopped here for lunch during our whirlwind shopping expedition. We were hungry, thirsty and exhausted. We were greeted by the pleasant baristress, signed in and took our seats. Very shortly we were served with coffee and fish n chips at the very reasonable total cost for two of £13.95. The food was very good, tasty, batter perfect, and just the right-size portions. Coffee also very good. We were also pleased to see the toilets were clean and well maintained. This fish bar is of minimalist design and very clean, with tables cleared and wiped immediately after use. Highly recommended.

This is the second time I have visited this eat in fish bar. The first time I visited I was served by a man I presume is the manager. He is always very friendly and chirpy, and served good food. 5 stars for that encounter. I visited again today with memories of good service and food. I ordered my food from a lady who did not seem very pleased with my entrance from the get go. I asked whether I needed a mask and the reply was 'you need to wear them in all shops', and the tone was not overly friendly. I explained that I was going to eat in, to which I did not receive a response. The polite gentleman was behind her and seemed to realise this ladies tone as unfriendly. I put my mask on and after ordering I was served my food by the same lady. I said 'Thank you', to which I received a cautious and reserved nod. The food was great, by the way. After eating, I wasn't sure whether to give my plate to the guys as they seemed quite busy. I had put my mask on by this point. I was 'told' to put it back, which did not make me feel good at all. I wondered whether this was all in my head, and decided to thank the lady by saying the food was delicious (which it was) however all that was returned was the same cautious and halfhearted nod with no goodbye like the presumed manager did before (which was a lot of the reason why I visited again!). This experience has left me feeling salty, with the decided and definite move forward being to not visit when I see that same lady in the shop. I haven't seen any other negative reviews concerning her, however I believe she might be new. Be aware, and do make sure to comment if you receive this type of service. In closing, I heard her serve other people with a much more polite tone, so I totally believe that she wasn't fond of my presence. I was polite as I usually am, so I don't think that's the problem. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

Pleasant and clean but portions are small. Fish and Chips only £7.00 I was told. At lunch time you need to have better offers as that isn't a lunch time budget but I do appreciate this sort of dish is similarly priced in most other fish and chips shops. For me my comment reflects the small portions, especially if you dine in.

The food here is always cooked perfectly to eat in or take out. The batter is always spot on and the food is always cooked fresh. There is a lovely park around the corner where you can enjoy a take out on a nice day with the family, only a 2 minute walk. Or if you'd like to eat in there is also some further menu options! Keynsham Fish bar offers a great selection of food and the service has always be great! We've been getting our takeouts from here for around 10 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else!

This is a good local chippy. All the traditional fish and chip shop meals pluses few extras like he. Egg and chips. They're helpful to disabled people too. Situated at the end of Keynsham high street it's close to shops and bus stops.

The best curry sauce I've had for ages. I had the £3.50 deal of battered sausage,chips and a can. Paid extra for a little tub of curry sause. The food was cooked fresh & for the money it was really good. Good portion size & not greasy

Best Fish & Chips in Keynsham and local Area. My Brother and I had large Cod and Chips with Mushy Peas on Friday 18th May, I must say the staff were great and friendly and The portions were large, even enough for my Brother and gave us a couple of Tartar sauce sachets free.

Only had the chips but they are always amazing!

The fish and chips from here are lovely if you enjoy tiny portions of food.. I was left feeling hungry after I had eaten my fish and chips. I live in Keynsham but now prefer to go to oldfield fishbar where the portion sizes are decent. I know I am not the only one to do this as several of my sons friends have said their parents also do the same for the same reason..

The chips here are generally good, although the portion sizes are really small. Considering they aren't that cheap, they could be a bit more generous. The fish was even more expensive and again, and again not exactly a very good size. Staff aren't particularly friendly and the atmosphere isn't that relaxed or welcoming. No nice greeting, not even a smile, just a swift what can I get you, take your money and then ignore you. Anyway, as I said the food isn't bad, it's just over priced and portions are too small.

Had cod & chips from here Saturday lunchtime,best I've had for a long time,cooked fresh,it wasn't grease at all,perfect.

Like most things in Keynsham, bland, nothing to tell apart from slow service and small portions but still better than Rock road chippy who are shocking

Love this place. I usually visit once a week or every 2 weeks, and the chips are always lovely, fluffy and hot. The pea fritters are tasty, nice and big, and very crispy. Last time I left a review, I mentioned that they don't always have pea fritters in stock. However, I'm pleased to say that Keynsham Fish Bar seem to have taken my comments on board. Every time I go in these days they always have pea fritters available! The staff are lovely too, all very friendly and chatty.

We had fish and chips back in mid July 2017.Something then was missing the fish was bland and tasteless.

Never use this place again fish was dripping with grease and chips were all stumps bits no good sized chips. The portion was supposed to be a large but came like a child's portion . The whole meal tasted like it was 're heated from dinner time. The grease was floating on the plate.

Man handled me and grabbed me and said he didn't like the look of my face because I have a facial disability he then proceeded to push me out of the store without giving a refund once I already handed him the money and didn't revive my food very poor shop ugly man he was bare shook

The fish and chips here are out of this world. The owner is so friendly. Had quite a lot of lunches here. The afternoon meal deals are well priced as well. Dinner and desert and drink.

Sé que es difícil emocionarse pescado patatas" pero. . Basura. f'n'f pegan en la mente y arruinar la semana aceptable f'n'f cálido el corazón y excelente que alentar para una semana más. Estos eran excelentes. Perfectamente cocinado, perfectamente servida (comimos en) y a un precio razonable. Bueno en el par de usted y de largo puede prosperar.

Sin embargo muy agradable nos cobraron la salsa curry que pedí en el mostrador de la orden vinieron a como 8 libras algo no me impresionó. Así que tuvimos que pagar un extra de 95 p para la salsa de curry que pedí. Hamburguesa doble queso tuve con patatas fritas ensalada y la salsa de curry en el extremo todavía no impresionado me cobraron por algo que ni siquiera pedimos. Incluso mi esposa escuchado decir salsa curry ordenar en el mostrador mientras!!!! Fecha Miércoles 31 de agosto.

Good quality chips, best I've tasted in the area so far. Fast and friendly service. Price is reasonable but not cheap. Please note that I only buy the chips and a sausage so I cannot comment on other offerings.

Parado en el camino a casa para tomar pescado y patatas fritas en un viernes por la noche y ojalá nunca me molestó! Nos cobraron de más, luego cuando llegamos a casa la orden no era incluso justo, la hamburguesa era más pequeña, el pescado era sosa, chips de desaparecidos y lo que teníamos era frío y porciones muy pequeñas! Preferiría tomar el suplemento en coche a una tienda de chips fuera de keynsham!

This is a great fish and chip shop. The staff are friendly, service is quick and the food is great! The chips are nice, hot, soft and fluffy, and the pea fritters they do here are hands down the best I've ever had. The only thing they could improve on is opening hours (9pm seems a bit early for a fast food place to close of an evening) and their stock - they are fairly often sold out of pea fritters which is a tad annoying for me as a vegetarian!

Might be an idea, to wait until the person has finished eating, or drinking, before you wipe the tables ?

My family and I just moved to Keynsham a couple of weeks ago and tonight we thought we'd check out one of the local chippies. I'm pleased to say we really enjoyed our food, the chips were soft and tasty and the fish was moist with a good crispy batter, and nothing was too greasy either. Will definitely go back!

This is a great bus service between Bristol airport and Dorchester Street in Bath opposite the main line railway station. The drivers are always careful, polite and cheerful.

Just called in this evening for 4 cod and chips. The last 2 times we have bought from Keynsham Fish Bar..it has not been as good as it used to be. So, tonight I asked if it was definitely skinless and filleted. Upon getting home with our fish and chips, it was skinless..BUT, 3 out of the 4 cod had many bones in each. So, not filleted as advised.!!Also, and this is not nice, one of the 3 "boned" cods, also had a long hair inside the batter..so obviously not ours!!!Sadly. .after 3 attempts and trying to remain loyal to our local fish and chip shop, we are now no longer going to frequent Keynsham Fish Bar.I could have called the Keynsham Fish Bar to "rectify"...but have to say, why bother. .! I asked if it was skinned and filleted before buying, so they could and should have "rectified" before buying. Looks like we will be going to Oldfields at Longwell Green in future.Thank you

If you're hankering for fish and chips then you might wana drop in here, the food isnt "special" but good enough to eat. I wasn't bloqn away by the food and if I was willing to wait another half hour id have gone else where. But all in all not to bad.

We were looking for a pub to eat in, but chanced upon this fish bar. You can sit in, and the gammon egg and chips with a cup of tea for a fiver was freshly cooked, very tasty and excellent value.

The worst fish and chip I had in years. Chips were soggy and the fish was over cooked and had blue die in parts. 1 star would be over rating the food!

Easily the best fish and chip shop in Keynsham, reasonably priced and good portions however sometimes a little inconsistent in their portion sizes. Also why are the curry sauce and mushy pea portions so small? You would think these are cheap to supply and even a large isn't enough to share between two.
