If you’re looking for crispy batter and fresh fish to die for you will be disappointed. The fish was soaking wet with oil just like the undercooked chips. My dad just brought them in, he’s 84 love him and wanted to surprise us, I’ve just ordered dominoes for us instead. On the plus side he said the staff were lovely. Even the dog turned her nose up at it, sorry guys

Wanted to charge a mother of a gluten free child and additional £3.50 because he has Celiac disease and can't have gluten in his diet. calling it " the gluten free fee" charging £.1.50 per item! Making a kids meal which should be £8 cost £11.50! The high chair was sticky amd had ground in dirt. I left! Ordered nothing and vowed to never come back! I understand the need to charge a little more for free from food due to increased costs to source and provide these options safely but 3.50 ... For a kids meal that's not on!

Visited here as a family and the food was not great. Could you see what we were likely getting as no food in the counter, when it arrived, batter was soggy but overcooked, chips we’re okay, but loads of sharp scraggy bits included, pretty pale. Peas were cold, and not very nice, all of it smelled like dirty/unclean oil. Won’t be going back when we visit again, and if you’re thinking of going here, keep walking into the town for an alternative

Pedimos 2 pequeños pescados con papas fritas por teléfono y nos dijeron que estarían listos en 10 minutos. Los recogimos dentro de la escala de tiempo y condujimos los 8 minutos de regreso a nuestra casa. ¡Eran porciones de tamaño infantil! ¡en cada caja había un trozo de pescado flaco que le servía a un niño! Read some mixed reviews on here for this place. Tried it tonight bought 2 fish suppers. Fish fried fresh for my order it was absolutely first class. Good size portion and great quality. Chips are real chip shop chunky types, not at all greasy. Best fish and chips I’ve had in ages

We had cod and chips on a weeknight. Ordered in their website for collection. They charged extra for ordering directly on their website compared to In the shop. Waited ages. The chips were pale and unappetising. The fish was disgusting. The batter has a strange flexible texture, not crispy. It had soaked up a serious amount of oil. It was orangey colour. Don't risk going. Head to one of the fish and chip shops on Uckfield high street.

This place has gone downhill rapid you cannot run a fish and chip shop with teenagers food is undercooked I have pictures to prove this one of my children had a chip on his plate that had been knowhere near the fryer you’ve got teenagers sat in the seating area causing havoc and making people uncomfortable avoid this chippy it’s shocking

overpriced,I,VE NEVER SEEN ANYWHERE THAT CHARGED 80P FOR A PICKLED ONION!,didnt get the sausage i ordered with my chips, and my wifes burger made her ill. AWFUL

Just had the worst meal from here. Normally go to the one on Monkston which I can’t fault but this one tonight was not good. Ordered a spring roll, battered sausage and chips. The spring roll was a long way from being a spring roll, there was no bean sprouts, full of sweetcorn and peas, and not much else, it was half the size of the ones I normally get, it was floppy and cold. The sausage was luke warm and full of grease, every bit coated my mouth in grease and very unpleasant. Chips Luke warm too. Won’t be going again

Food was 45 minuets late and once it finally arrived was inedible. The cod and chips were soggy and dripping in grease as well as being freezing cold! The battered sausage was like it had been cooked yesterday it was so hard. Will never be ordering from here again. Avoid at all costs!

How can you get a small tray of chips wrong????? When I use this chippy now I'll only risk chips and gravy curry and chips etc, nearly broke my teeth on the chips god knows how long they had been lying around for! This place is defo in the running for the worst chippy in Liverpool. I should of swerved it when I saw the woman who usually works behind the counter frying all the food. Avoid this health hazard people!!!!!!!!!
