Oxley Park Fish Bar in Milton Keynes

Just had the worst meal from here. Normally go to the one on Monkston which I can’t fault but this one tonight was not good. Ordered a spring roll, battered sausage and chips. The spring roll was a long way from being a spring roll, there was no bean sprouts, full of sweetcorn and peas, and not much else, it was half the size of the ones I normally get, it was floppy and cold. The sausage was luke warm and full of grease, every bit coated my mouth in grease and very unpleasant. Chips Luke warm too. Won’t be going again

Don’t get me wrong, I love the fish and chips from here usually, and I may be a freak but I only ever eat chip shop chips with lots of scraps. So when you order fish & chips with scraps, pay for it, then they hand it over and advise there are no scraps, well - that is not what I ordered then. Hindsight - should’ve handed it back and asked for the money back. Very shabby.

HAVE TO BE THE TRASHIEST CHIP SHOP IN MK. CHIPS ARE BUTNT HOLLOW AND CERTAINLY NOT FRESH. £12 later and I feel like I’ve done a swim in the cooking oil. Take them extra few steps and go to westcroft or anywhere else but stay clear of this crap chip shop. They don’t care what they give you, I have had bad fish and chips from Oxley park a while ago but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt and what a fool I am third time round. I do not understand why they are still open but explains why the shop is so dead. Never again!! AVOID WASTING YOUR MONEY

One of the staff members seems to choose who he gives a bag to. Unconscious bias? Remember to specifically ask for a paper bag. Chips were okay, but customer services could do better in my view.

I went to this chip shop as there was a lot of good reviews, sadly i never found this to be the case for me. I had large portion of chips which were awful, they were bland and tasteless and seemed to be bitty bits as appose to being whole chips, they were the worst chips i have ever tasted. I also had a donar kebab, once again this was awful the meat was dry and hard, a big let down, altho the salad that came with this seemed quite fresh, so my overall experience here wasnt good at all, i will not be going back again. I dont agree with staff coughing over their hands or touching their face then handling food either, thats a big no no

I visit Oxley fish bar at least twice a week, fish is always fresh and crispy, chips are always amazing and as for the shop being filfy that comment is totally untrue, I’ve never seen a chip shop as clean as Oxley fish bar! The owner there is very accommodating and friendly so if there is a problem with the food I know he is always ready to listen and amend any problems! This shop deserves a 5 star rating

It was just around the corner for our previous home. But still in 3 years we went there only once. Looks filthy. Always deserted. Food was awful...so oily and felt stale. Menu is bad as well.

Charitable, very generous in supporting local issues, really Nice staff, Excellent food, another Great fish and chip shop!..

I live on this estate , this place has gone back to its original owner, I’ve eaten here twice since he took back over and can say I prefer the previous owners. Tonight I had pie and chips , chips were ok but the pie was so dry I’m thinking how long has it been on display, I couldn’t even eat it , really disappointing

Best fish and chip shop by miles since new owner took over, very clean shop and very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely use again

Sometimes the food here is great and other times it can be a bit underwhelming, and have previously had items missing or wrong when we've got our food home.

Not been here for a while as the place had gone downhill. Discovered that the previous owner had taken over again so decided to visit. We have just finished two excellent portions of Cod n Chips and felt that we really needed to put something on here. Really good quality fish (cooked to order which is always nice) in an excellent light batter, with proper chips. Excellent portion size (both fish and chips) and value. The quality will take some beating, I was brought up in what was the country’s biggest fishing port, so I know my fish!
