Very small portion chips. You need to go large to get a standard portion like what you would get else where. Wouldn't mind so much if they tasted nice

Absolutely terrible food and service. The women serving was about as joyful as an accident on a motorbike. The chips were tasteless, dry and massively and shockingly overpriced. The gravy was as thick a tar and all I could taste was flour. I will never return again, I would rather starve the death. I’m still sick to the stomach from the taste and the fact I gave them £17 of my money!

If you are an archeologist, but also like battered fish….this is the place for you as you will be plucking more bones out than your latest site dig. Expensive price for what must be very cheap quality fish. Avoid at all costs

Small chips would barely feed a child, seemed like they had been around for a while were quite dry, and the woman who served me was as jolly as the grim reaper, will not be going back. will go to our regular chippy in Nolton St better quality and much larger portions.

Went to my local Fish & Chip Shop, we purchased a Large bag of chips , Jumbo Sausage and Hot Curry. Lovely late evening meal . Plenty of choice was available for other food in the shops heated unit ( Small sausages, Sausage in Batter, Fritters, Fish bites, Chicken nuggets ) Fish and chips are also cooked freshly as required. Staff are courteous and polite.

Large portion size plenty of different curry to choice from Down side. On quite times chip that have been warming a long time .ca be hard

Lovely staff, food was good, shame that they use palm oil ! Negatative points for that, wish they would fry in different more sustainable oils.

I'd finished work late and was absolutely starving. i was freezing cold and five minutes away from this place. Bag of chips £2.40, standard size so not cheap. However, they were okay, not greasy and edible! Service was fine, place was empty, but it was service with a smile. All in all okay.

Chips tasted like they were yesterdays chips refried. Disgusting, tasted like stale oil and dry! ...and very expensive, £2.40 for a standard portion! Didn't have fish, didn't have enough money on me.

Good size portions and well cooked chips means that a visit to this take-away will leave you satisfied. The menu is sufficiently varied, the shop always looks clean, and the staff are always friendly and polite.

Quality of Fish is better now and you get a big portion. Huge portions of chips too, we normally share one. Chips are a bit hit and miss, sometimes greasy and sometimes great. Saves a trip into town or elsewhere thats hard to park.

I've visited this place a few times over the last three years. On balance its okay, with food ranging from acceptable to not very nice. Had curry and chips here today, price around £3.50, the chips were poor, greasy and looked like they may have been from yesterdays batch and recooked. Curry was usual chip shop style curry, but was okay. For convenience this place is acceptable, but it really is hit and miss what you get. Parking is good.

fantastic fish & chips not over priced & not over portioned. will use again when visiting family. also the family say they will use when they want fish &n chips

Cold stale chips served by unsmiling lady. Have navel had a bad meal there before but was really disappointed

As a family of 7 , to save cooking, we'd decided to have a fish supper on a Friday evening . Wish we'd cooked our own supper now! Firstly, after parking the car and walking past a man who was smoking heavily outside the fish bar, and running his hands through his hair we joined a fairly long queue. Whilst waiting to get served we witnessed a number of staff not wearing hats and continually scratch and run their hands through their hair! Every member of staff lacked any kind of rapport with the customers, not one smile between them! But had lots of conversations between themselves, which we really didn't want to hear! Then whilst the person in front of us got served, we were horrified to witness the man who was smoking outside and running his hands through his hair, enter the chip shop, went behind the counter and commence cooking fish, not even washing his hands!! I can't believe he's the cook! Suffice to say we made a speedy exit and ate elsewhere!

Called in just before closing as I had just picked up my son from football at the school behind. The two ladies behind the counter were really friendly and happy to serve. I had double sausage and chips and large chips and gravy. The food was excellent the chips were perfect. The sausages were good quality and the gravy was nice. This was the first time we have used this chippy but it will not be the last. They seem to be open all the time so when you are hungry give them a try. They were good value for money as well.

While visiting your establishment this evening there was not much on offer. Asked if we could order small sauasage and small sausage in batter, only to be told by the boy behind the counter, NO you can only have a jumbo, And when we said we would wait for him to cook more we were still told NO. WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE DISCOUNT ON JUMBO, WHICH WE ENDED UP GETTING,. Only to get home and what a waste of money, Chips were so greasy you couldn't eat them and batter in sausage was soggy, would not recommend going here, will definitely go further afield next time

Have been here on a number of occasions and sometimes you are lucky and have brown cooked chips other times they are more anaemic. Had fish here other day and it was very greasy, use for convenience but not the cheapest or the best.

Visita bastante regularmente. Hay mejor F&C; tiendas, pero esta es la handiest para mí. Me evitar tener patatas fritas envueltos desde aquí ya que es solo una pasada nudo cuando es unwrapped. Pide una bandeja. A £2 una vez es lo mínimo que se puede hacer. La pasta es siempre muy pesada y podría ser mucho mejor. Por el precio, el pescado podría ser skinless.

Vamos allí en la ocasión pero encontrar su mismo impredecible ... nada especial. Selección de alimentos bien ... normal malos y piezas. Enoigh agradable personal.

Es nuestra noche de viernes delicia, y lo ha sido durante años, nunca he tenido una mala comida desde aquí. Gran patatas fritas siempre fresco.

Excellent fish and chips and clean and always tidy got plenty of variety and cant do enough for you. Just got to ask
