The best restaurants serving Portuguese food in England

My family/family friends and I have used MAD for as many years as I can remember and the quality of welcome, food and service never waivers, it’s just pure excellence. Sandrina and her staff always do their utmost to give you the very best experience and welcome, second to none. Highly recommend, The proof is this place hardly ever has a quiet period! People use it once and 99.9% of the time, they’re are hooked and return time after time!!! As near to perfect as you'll ever get!!!

The food is great, but don't expect anything too fancy. Good old fashioned Portuguese menu. The only issue is, service is very slow and the food took a long time to come out. But we can forgive that because the atmosphere and food is so good.

The best authentic Portuguese piri piri chicken! It's just as good as what we get at home in Portugal....staff are really friendly.

Service was poor. Drinks overpriced (acceptable). Food quality, mediocre. Eg: chicken soup £8.50. Are they serious ??? Meat was tough.

Everything was very expensive… I drank a beer and ate some lupins and had to sell a kidney! I won't go there anymore.

I have to say I will never eat at Nandos again after eating here. They had no chicken breast (!) and no apology just a statement of fact. There was no atmosphere, it felt cold and dirty and the food was horrible. The manager was rude and we paid about £4.00 for a smoothie type drink which they got out of a carton and poured right infront of us. Also horrible.
