Nandos in Winchester

First visit out since starting my cancer treatment so very anxious. Welcomed by Ali who was lovely and told him I was Celiac which was no problem at all, he seated us and was straight back with the allergen iPad felt confident straight away. He needs a big shout out as he knew his stuff and continued to ask if our and my meal was ok, true credit to your company. Thank you to the manger Chris for again putting me at ease, my last experience in Nando Portsmouth years ago was not the same experience. Feeling happy served by two great staff I’ll sure to return to your resorting you again 🤍

Extremely disappointed, ordered for collection with 30mins notice only to discover that when we returned home after a 5 min journey, the majority of food was stone cold! Frequently visited the place for the last few years and always been impressed with quality of food as well as service but this time was extremely below par. I received an email asking for my feedback so responded in due course, only to be met by a phone call from the ‘Shift Manager on duty’ indirectly calling me a liar and dismissing my claim all together. She was extremely patronising and claimed our food was “Straight off the grill” This despite the fact that when we arrived, we watched them take our food out of a cupboard and bag it for us to take away. I’m not happy with the way I was contacted today and the attitude I was met with by a so-called manager, and wish for my feedback to be escalated to somebody of authority who will listen to my point of view. If you can’t accept constructive feedback, don’t ask for my opinion. Simple. Order number: #670541

Stopped off for sunset burger. Good options for sides. All in all good food that sat well, friendly staff and good atmosphere. The lemon and herb sauce was good but I do miss the mango peri peri sauce that they used to offer at Nando’s. Could have done with hot drink alternative Some of the drinks seemed pricey but came away happy overall.

Decided to come here for end of school treat for kids. Me and my wife ordered chicken burger. Decided against upgrading to the double burger. What I failed to realise was the double upgrade is probably the whole chicken breast that was advertised as my burger was a tiny piece. Probably more meat on a chicken wing. The tomato slice dwarfed the chicken

Ordered on dilveroo 4 boneless thighs, only to forgot the actual chicken in the order. When called customer service was usless

Love this place real nice staff,great atmosphere despite being really busy. We ordered a family platter more than enough for 3 people the chicken was sublime we will definitely be back x

A lovely impromptu visit to Whiteley, as GWQ Nandos refurb has been delayed, unbeknown to us at the time, and what a revelation. Dining space inside and out, great food and service to match. And free parking up to 4 hours! Will revisit, for sure.

I go to this Nando's every so often as it's close to where I work. However, visited with my colleagues today and I am appalled at the way I was spoken to by one of the waiters. The waiter's name was Kieran. He asked for the empty plates to be passed over to him which we did. I had placed my empty glass on top of the and passed over and he retorted quite abruptly "I said ONLY THE PLATES". I was a bit shocked, so was the rest of my colleagues and I replied "Sorry, what was that?" and he replied the same "I SAID JUST THE PLATES". I left it at that and was just a bit shocked as I didn't like being spoken to like this. There was no need for this, especially when I am trying to be helpful. Absolutely disrespectful and not appreciated as we had spent £100!

Gone downhill. The staff are friendly and place looks fine but the menu is dull as ditchwater and my goto sides seem to have disappeared and been replaced by things like garlic bread and mashed potato. Have had some great nandos and of late far more disappointing ones.

Food was nice and cooked and hot staff was friendly and helpful but the drinks was very flat and not nice to drink and. You need to do hot drinks

With colleagues we popped in for my birthday lunch and I had the chickpea burger, peri fries and hummus and pitta bread The burger was amazing, a real nice vegan dish and was told it will stay on the menu, so I will be back for more of that There was a little wait for a table of 8, but they moved some tables and the food came quick enough and again was nice delicious

A few of us in the office planned a visit to nandos and it was a great idea The food was served quickly, even when one person ordered a starter and the rest of us had ours with the mains, they figured this out and got the rest of the food out I had the vegan chicken pitta with chips and hummus and a pitta, hot hot sauce and a sparkling water, it was delightful The servers were nice, the restaurant was busy but we all left happy and full, so a really good experience

We have had 4 deliveries within last 6 weeks. Each single time, we haven’t received our sauce to go with the chicken. Tonight I actually phoned the restaurant direct and asked the restaurant to make sure it was in, yet it arrived WITHOUT IT! The person I spoke to about the sauce answered the phone with “yo yo yo Nando’s Whitley” and seemed very excited for some reason. Not really a professional way to answer a phone! And then forgets to pass information across………. I phoned them after delivery and spoke to a nice guy but he couldn’t find our order online as it was through deliveroo. Either the system is useless or they are fobbing us off. Tonight was the last straw and we will never order from Nando’s again. Terrible service. And to add insult to injury, our chicken tonight was dry and grilled to an inch of its life. Shame as we enjoy a Nando’s but tonight, enough is enough, I won’t be recommending either.

We tried going to another Nandos, but it was closed, so we travelled to our next nearest one, which was Whiteley. very busy, very noisy. Didn't feel like we was customers. when the food did arrive I am sure the chips were boxed microwave chips, they were awful. We waited quite a while for the food so didn't want to address the problem to have to wait even longer. Waitress's don't acknowledge you, just not the greatest. Yet been to other Nandos and not had this problem before, Shall not be returning to this particular one.

Family meal out for the first time since before lockdown. We joined the virtual queue and went for a wander, returned to restaurant to be met by extremely friendly member of staff. Ordered food using the app. Food arrived in good time and it was very tasty. Staff checking if we needed our drinks topping up every time they went below half full. Excellent food, fantastic service, we didn't have anything to complain about before lockdown but I do have to say it has got even better. Thank you.

Just been to Nando's what a great experience. We were welcomed by Chris who was so helpful with two older people and not so tech savvy. He guided us through the system they are now using due to Covid, very patience and thoughtful we ordered a sharing platter and side dishes of chips coleslaw and spicy rice. No real wait, and piping hot food, delicious felt safe with their system. Thanks again Chris

Ordered online and said would be 50 mins so walked around and waited outside, 10 mins before was due to pick up food they emailed to say they cancelled our order for no reason and to re order would be an hour and a half. Tried ringing but they said there was nothing that could be done completely disappointed- thank goodness for TGI Friday who don’t just cancel customers for no reason after 40 mins

Excellent speedy service, good hot food, clean toilets, vegan options too... highly recommended... visit regularly and service is always consistent...

I recommend nandos, we had a nice meal out with colleagues, food was nice and hot, waiting time was a bit long but overall i think it was ok.

Nando’s has a good product but why, unlike normal restaurant menus, do they have prices on their menu that excludes VAT? Customers should expect the menu price to be the price they pay!

Have visited this branch quite a few times before, usually good service and speed, but not this time. Ordered and the starters took forever to arrive, when they did one was not there, it took another 20 plus minutes for it to finally turn up while I just sat there watching the others eat. We did try and ask what happened but no one knew! Then of course straight away after the starter the food arrived. Seemed a lot of staff hanging around doing nothing much, just waiting for the food, so I actually think the delay was down to the kitchen. A disappointing meal, will be a while before we return which is a shame.

Often use this Nando’s, better than my local ones. Always find the staff nice and helpful, always have a nice meal.

I have ordered from nandos many many times, whether that’s in the restaurant or whether it’s for take out. But the past maybe 5+ time (yes you read that correctly. This has happened over 5 times) we have ordered food for takeout and specified a time in order to collect the food (always order at least an hour before pick up time!) and the food is ALWAYS late and I find my self sitting in Nandos for 10-30 minutes (this time in particular it was 15 minutes) waiting for my food to be ready. Now if I wanted to wait that long for food I would have gone in the restaurant to eat. I am appalled by this terrible service all the time. Ridiculous.

It was OK, but why has virtually everything HAVE to have Peri Peri sauce with it. Don't especially have to go up to order the meals, especially when there are a large group of you to try and remember everything. The bottomless drink and limitless yogurt is a good idea, but can we have a bigger range of main meal selection.

We eat here quite a lot and whilst the food is always good, so is the service. It’s often a busy restaurant but the staff are so friendly and make the effort to deliver great service which is rare these days!

Came here with a friend for dinner on a Friday night, even though it was busy, we were sat within 10 minutes! Had halloumi salad, was delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming. I have reviewed before, but I wanted to review again on another visit to show that they have consistently good service no matter how busy/quiet/what day it is.

Took 7 friends before the Avengers Endgame movie and service was fantastic from the point of ordering to the point of delivery. Everything was spot on and 100% accurate and on-time even when the place was teaming with people. The tables were kept clean and tidy as were the condiments kept regularly stocked up. Definitely return. Management should take high praise indeed.

Prefer this now over my local Nando's in fareham. Fast service, great food, nice location. Definalty recomend this to Nando's lovers.

Me and my friend were craving chicken and where else would you go other than Nando’s. I ordered the Quinoa Salad and added chicken breast at the hottest flavour they do and also added halloumi. The salad is amazing as it has sweet potato and avocado mixed in. My friend had butterfly chicken burger with macho peas and rice. The food was incredible, only few things let it down was the fact the servers are meant to ask how your meal is when your tucking in and then take the chicken stick off your table , ours got taken when we had already finished. Which was bit annoying as we wanted some mayo but normally they come ask how our meal is so that let it down, but was saved by the quality of the food

Food is always fresh, and served by happy staff! Good value for money and will always return here. Recommended halloumi sticks!

We visit this nandos often- good price, enjoy the food, excellent service from all members of staff. Whether it’s a quick bite to eat, takeaway or a nice evening meal out, we always enjoy it.

I am not a huge fan of chain restaurants but this was convenient at the time. There was quite a big queue but we got told it was a 10min wait for a table for two. The guy at the door had it all under control. But the overdoor heater could have grilled you in half that time though! After being seated I found that you queue again to order. I much prefer table service but fortunately that queue had died down by the time I got up two get our grub. We chose half a grilled chicken (hot sauce), a chicken wrap (medium) and a few sides. The girl at the counter got wife's drink wrong and the food came after a short wait. It's fine, in fact it's good. Nice chips, coleslaw and garlic bread. The chicken though was not really that spicy. I know I can take the spice but it took the addition of extra hot sauce to make it somewhere near what I would have expected. I think if the birds were marinated a bit longer the sauce might seep into the meat better instead of being all on the outside. But as I say it's fine, and the chain is a popular leviathan especially with the younger crowd. I just can't see what all the fuss is about as spicy chicken , chips, coleslaw and wraps are available in pretty much every other bland chain eatery.

This was my first and will be my last experience of the world favourite Nando’s. Maybe the wrong restaurant on the wrong night, but still a chain which should operate at some sort of company standard.

I took my Mum here after a cinema trip and it had improved greatly since the last time i visited (the year it opened), so I felt I should give some feedback.

Me and my friend went to whitely and decided to get some food whilst visiting. We love Nando's and thought ild order something different today . My friend had medium chicken , macho peas and rice. I had a quinoa salad with chicken added and obviously the spiciest flavour. I have to say that I will be ordering that again as it was delicious. Great fast service , clean restaurant . No problems with lovely food. Big car park out front aswell.

Seated quickly ordered and served in double quick time. Nando’s produces excellent predictable food that never fails to fill an empty stomach all be it in a fairly bland school diner type of envIronment. I like the ability to choose the degree of spices heat you want on your chicken depending on your palate.

We're semi regulars to eating out. Nandos is always a fave and great for veggies, I especially love the halloumi extras! And they have full fat coke! Yes! Thanks for another good value, combo veggie meal experience. The lady with blue hair was super nice too

Fair service and excellent meal, came reasonably quickly and they weren't too busy. Waited a rather long time to be seated considering there were tables available. The food was very good and served hot - although we did have to ask for plates to eat it off!

Been several times. Nothing to shout about. Had medium and hot chicken. You get seated at a table. Choose what you want and then go to the till to order and pay. Food comes out extremely quick. Don't go if you want to take time over dinner. Soft drinks you help yourself to as much as you want. All Nando sauces are available.

Standard Nando's menu served quickly and cooked well. The staff here are very pleasant and attentive. The chicken was very tasty. Nive venue. Good visit.

Went there for a early dinner for a birthday treat we got seated very quick as it was in the afternoon we placed our order and we had our food nearly straight away the chicken here is so tender it's a really nice relaxing place to go any time of the day

Me and my girlfriend are always coming back to this Nandos as it's only a few minutes from where we live. Every time we come the service is top notch! The staff always seem happy to see you and the food comes very quickly and is always too quality.

I never expect much from fast food places and Nando’s was a positive surprise. Swift service and tasty food. Obviously a popular place, got one of the last available tables and afterwards several people waited for a free table.

As regular Nando’s goers, this is the best restaurant we have experienced YTD. The staff are really helpful, friendly, and the general customer service is a real rarity in chain cuisine. Food is always quick, and the standards are as per described.

Been to Nando’s so many times. Whiteley Nando’s is definitely the best. The staff are amazing. Always welcoming, helpful and friendly. The food is 10/10. We never leave disappointed.

Restaurant are clean and professional service great food and Toilet clean nice ambience very recommended.. one down site we order side salads but doesn't look fresh so we ask to be replace and they replaced straight away.

Our host was lovely! Very sweet and attentive. Lovely food as always, but so disappointed as they didn’t have any wedges. Lovlely and clean and quick turn around of tables. Very good!

After cinema dinner me and my friend decided we needed chicken and it was 9pm and we basically wanted nandos as it’s the best . It was so quiet and perfect . Amazing time to go in on a Sunday . Fast and perfect , lovely booth table and we ordered straight away . Nice starter , and a double chicken each extra hot obviously, you need to make a new sauce called Inferno or something like Proper Hot or Even Extra Hot or Flippin Hot I got ideas bubbling right now lol but I feel you can go hotter than extra though. Amazing dinner and think the guy called Matt looked after us , nice guy and wicked service . Thanks guys . Me and my friend will consider this after our Sunday cinema visits few times a month for sure

Enough said. I went to Nandos in Birmingham with work last weekend, this one with the wife this weekend. I actually got pretty much the same thing believe it or not and both times I really enjoyed it. Good for a chain restaurant.

Great food and atmosphere. We went to quite few Nandos in Southampton and areas close by, I think, the restaurant I visit the most was the Nandos in Whiteley. Sometimes, it does get a bit busy so just go there early if you want to eat lunch as the queue is long at those times. We were impressed with the quality of the food and our overall experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. This Nandos in whitelely is way far better than the ones in Southampton city centre and west quays.

Me and my partner both love Nandos, so when our local Fareham one was full up, we ventured out to Whiteley for our Nandos fix.

Good food, good service from the majority of the staff. Standard good food never had a bad meal at any Nandos. Majority of the staff are great.

OMG must try the new main called FINO pitta!!! Chicken thighs, garlic aoile mayo, caramelized onion pickle and lettuce! Omg try it!

Got there at about 1130 and was lovely and quiet! Ordered 2 whole chickens with chips and spicy rice for sides! But the best bit was the chicken livers! Amazing!!!

I am something of a Nandos groupie, I love this place, we visit around once a week and have got to know a lot of the staff on first name basis. There are a lot of places to eat in Whiteley yet we always choose Nandos. The main reason is the staff, Summer has put together a cracking team! I won't list them all here but you will never receive bad service in this place, even if they're swamped and your food takes a while then the staff will still be a 10 out of 10!

We quite often visit this branch before or after the cinema as cineworld card holders get money off Mon-Thur. It's normally pretty busy, but the staff will always try to accommodate you. Our food has always been to a good standard, and delivered reasonably quickly even when busy. Basically offers exactly what you'd expect from Nando's.

There are many places to choose for lunch in Whiteley but Nando's is the restaurant me and my workmates choose the most.

You get what you pay for . Nothing exciting. Food is good. Staff seems a bit sad to be working there. Place is not too busy like other nandos around the area. No mobile reception inside the restaurant

Naxos food is the best, I've been to Whiteley, Fareham, Southampton and Gunwharf Quays and all are excellent. Great service too. If you go, get a loyalty card as you can earn points for free food, what's not to like?

Came here for lunch and wasnt disappointed. Had the chicken thighs which were very tasty and moist. Loved the decor and the staff were very friendly and attentive. A lovely restaurant with great food.

Getting a table in this Nandos, which is right next to the cinema, can be a challenge. Luckily we only had to queue for 5 mins, but within 20 minutes they were queueing out the door. Obviously very popular.

Just decided to go out to eat Sat afternoon and was pleased we chose Nando's. Lovely warm welcome and nice seating. Food came out quickly although it was busy and the service was friendly. the food was very nice and tasty. Will be returning soon

New big restaurant with plenty of seating. Great tasting food and extremely helpful friendly staff. Ideal for couples, groups or big parties.

Now as you all know I am something of a chicken aficionado . I pride myself that I've personally helped keep the poultry population under control for many years now, indeed since I recovered from vegetarianism some 15 summers ago I have made it my mission to sample as many types of chicken as any human can hope to do! (Ok so technically there is only one type of chicken but lays gloss over that for the sake of this piece)

As there were 2 of us we chose the ' halves' deal; a whole chicken, some chips and coleslaw and unlimited soft drinks, £20. The chicken was cut into four and was really flavoursome and moist, the chips were great and not greasy but a few more would have been nice.

Love this Nandos. They are not all the same; some better than others. The staff here: so friendly and obliging. Even though the menu/food quality is streamlined it's at its best here. Decor is really pleasant. Buzzy Vibey pre/post cinema atmosphere.

I ordered a takeaway online for collection from here a couple of days ago. there was some kind of technical blip on payment. I called the restaurant and explained and spoke to a really helpful young lady who explained that my order did not appear to have gone through but took my order over the phone and said she would put it straight through to the grill. My order was ready on arrival at the restaurant 15 minutes later. Staff were full of apologies and took my details to so their payment team could ensure I wasn't charged twice and also gave me 10% off for the inconvenience. Today I received a follow up email to assure me my initial payment had not gone through but also offering that if they have made a mistake to send them a screenshot of the duplicate payment so they could refund me. Well done Nando's whitely for your excellent customer service!

Nine of us ate at Nandos to celebrate our grandsons' eighteenth birthday, nothing was too much trouble and everyone enjoyed their meal . The restaurant was busy, obviously a very popular venue with families and young people.

Nandos is now a standard high street feature that I visited many times over the years, but this one is different as the staff are brilliant. Nothing to much trouble and the place is kept scrupulously clean. Well done Nandos Whiteley.

I suggest you have the chicken as there is little else that matters. My boys and I can kill off a Cheeky Nandos at any time.

Visited here for dinner midweek and really enjoyed it. This is the first time I have been to Nandos and I wasn't dissapointed. The service from the staff was brilliant and the food was very good! We were also able to use our cineworld cards which saved 20% off the bill, this made it better value for money. The only negative was hearing somebody tell what must have been a new staff member to be more friendly etc. I think this would have been better said at the back and not in front of customers where they can hear. Overall very impressed and look forward to returning soon!

Went here on a Friday for a works' lunch. Been here many times before. This time, they took some massive takeaway orders meaning anybody in the restaurant got served until 50 minutes later. Absolute rubbish. They should have told takeaway orders that they couldn't provide them and concentrate on the people in the restaurant...who had to get back to work. Many people walked out. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Has totally put me off. No offer of vouchers or anything - just some apologies. It was comedic really. Even when food did get made, it sat on the warmer whilst one person served it eventually. They just didn't seem 'on the ball' at all. Totally unimpressive for what is an overpriced chicken restaurant.
