Nando's - Brighton Marina in Brighton and Hove

Staff are Muppets. No idea about customer service. Waited ages for food. 1 till open. And then did not have what we wanted. Absolute waste of space useless.

30 minutes for two cheesecakes and a useless manager called Claudia who did nothing to help.

Service here was absolutely awful. I’m not sure why it takes so long to get food - having worked in hospitality before I think this is ridiculous. Not to mention the rude staff with moody looks on their faces and standing around talking?

Went here randomly, was served by Barbara. She was so nice & helpful changed things on our menu. Her customer service was phonemonal. She told me our son, all about the Fanta chicken. As he was unsure. Thank you Barbara.

I can't fault Nando's for the food or service at all. The food is fresh and tasty and of excellent quality and taste and the service is of a very high standard and all staff be very professional 👌 😀 👍

Lost my Nando’s virginity here so it holds a special place in my heart.

Having worked as an assistant manager at Nando’s for 3 years and having recently left, I can say without a doubt this is the worst Nando’s I have been to. I have been here multiple times and every time there has been something wrong. Long waiting time for a table with multiple managers walking past saying nothing, orders always wrong, general attitude of staff is sub par. We weren’t even shown to a table just sent on an adventure to find the infamous table 23. After ordering at the till we arrived back at our table to find a family of 4 sitting at our table, this is not the family’s fault at all but rather poor service from the staff themselves. Really wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I will be taking a longer journey next time to a more suitable Nando’s.

They missed some items on a delivery, they asked for a paper recipt that they never gave so I never got compensated, just sucks really I think it could have been resolved maybe if they responded earlier ,but they responded the next day asking for a pic of the food items we got... the morning after the night we had our dinner.

Absolutely brilliant service, Claudia was incredible - patient, flexible and went above and beyond to help me and my little one with autism feel settled and to have a lovely family meal out. Thank you, Claudia!

Great options for vegetarians and vegans. Fast service and tasty food.

I have been coming here for years, and the food used to be of top quality. Recently, it has lost its high standard. I ordered a takeaway. The service and atmosphere were good, but the food is no longer made to the same quality. The chicken was extremely dry, and the liver was just as bad. I wouldn’t call that what was given, Nando’s livers as I make better livers myself. I don't think some of the grillers actually know what they're doing. The food definitely needs some improvement.

Delicious chicken, friendly staff, bright atmosphere with a beautiful view

Ordered from the table using the app and food wasn't delivered for more than 25 mins and then some of the dishes were wrong. Table was sticky and rocked constantly and the toilets were disgusting with no soap. Clearly something has gone very wrong at this Nando's since our last visit

I came here with my family for a meal and it was my first time ever going to nandos and it was great, very good customer service - we had to wait for a table but it was 2-3 mins and they have us menus so we were ready to order once gaining our seat. It came in super quick time and the food was soooo nice and eveyone enjoyed it. Will definitely need to come back to nandos soon again! I reccomend the pitta which is what I had but im sure all is nice . The pasta as a side option is very very good idea

Nandos has sadly deteriorated...long waiting to be seated and extra long waiting for food. Used to be one of my favourite spots to eat, sadly this is now changing. Food quality going down too.

Pathetic when you ruck up at a waterfront restaurant in a busy marina at 9pm at the height of the holiday season facing dozens of available tables, only to be told that no new seatings are being taken, only online orders and delveries! What kind of business model gives preference to the internet over real bums-on-seats people who have travelled to this prominent very visible so-called 'restaurant', and would spend generously if given the chance. If you are a moped-driven deliveroo joint, don't pretend to be anything other. Nor should the shameful management here front this announcement by hapless, apolgetic school-leavers. Whoever was in charge should have had the courage of their limited aspirations and come out and apologised personaly. We were not the only couple in the queue to be turned away. Thank goodness Wetherspoons (half the price and also offerring peri-peri) were more than happy to welcome us with friendly and rapid service. My first attempt at Nandos, it will be my last. When we walked back from the Wetherspoons, Nandos were still blazing away with staff inside. Whats the pointOver-hyped style over substance yet again. Modern life eh?

Perfect service, delicious food and quiet atmosphere. The only problem is that it is a little expensive but the quantity solves that problem. 100% recommend

Service is low as you do most of it. But the staff create a fun, easy-going and welcome atmosphere which not only my family love but I love as sometimes I get a hankering for an L&H half chicken spicy rice and chips meal with my bottomless sprite (i never have more than 3 glasses). Food is well cooked, tasty, and always presented well.

Walked in Tuesday evening at 20:15. Stood for 10 minutes to be ignored by 3 staff. Finally I asked for a table for 1. I was rudely told no. Not taking any more orders due to a problem in the kitchen. The kitchen was very much in full swing. Very rude staff ! Not expected from Nando’s

We visited Nando’s today for my friends birthday and had mixed feelings about the experience. Due to staff shortage and a broken back grill there was not only a wait on a table but also food, as well as a limited menu. However, the managers, Isaac and Tina were incredible at dealing with our issues we had during the visit and went above and beyond to ensure that we left the restaurant happy and had a positive experience in the end. They were experiencing a lot of pressure throughout their shift but they did not let it affect their brilliant managerial skills.

Well cooked food at a reasonable price. The chicken is always well cooked and the staff are friendly and helpful. The manager, Lee, was extremely courteous and helpful when he helped use the QR system for ordering my food. In fact all the staff were very attentive. Well done!

It's Nando's, you know what to expect, the food was fine. Not sure I've ever seen so many staff aimlessly wandering around doing very little while the pass sits full of food slowly getting cold. 30mins after ordering, other tables that arrived 15mins after us started getting their food. When enquiring our food arrived right away, can only imagine it had been sat waiting to be picked up all that time. It was more a lack of giving an S from the staff than ineptitude. Very disappointed, ordered thru the app. Starter, mains and drinks. When the starters came there actually a pea in the bottom of the humous pot. This immediately put me off eating anything else there, the man dealt with it really well was very apologetic and refunded my money for the mains.

The staff were very nice and gave great service, food was also amazing and was prepared amazing fast without sacrificing any quality. Highly recommend this restaurant, 5 stars.

I always eat from this restaurant every year, and if I come I eat there once or more, but today I had a shock when I saw insects in the vinegar!!!!!!

Wow last August I waxed lyrical about this restaurant , was extremely excited due to red reward, on entering with my beloved wife Barbara wheelchair bound lady myself and our beautiful youngest son Richard who travelled from Northampton to stay in mercure Hotel, we were seated by young man Spanish? But sadly no menus given got them myself but eventually he did return with them told him to late , young man on till very engaging indeed ,but sadly food not up to standard my single pitta meal all luke warm rice and chips not good my wife had double burger meal same thing sadly our son suffers from severe anxiety and stress so didn't want to send back ,lady who served us very polite and helpful got my son mayonnaise he loves garlic version but sadly not here , wasn't busy no excuses, we had a beautiful boat trip just before buzzing but sadly left a nasty feeling completely opposite to August 23 visit obviously management not on the ball ,one last thing obviously seagulls do there own thing it is their Manor seaside but watching them eat off the outside tables not a good look staff should clear immediately not nice at all

Excellent service and food today. Decent food portions,lovely fresh and hot. It's been awhile at various nandos and other restaurants where food has been up to the standards but the visit here to today was excellent.

Short trip for lunch but excellent service by Myles from entry at door to attentive at the table. Very well done Myles. You are a credit to Nando’s. Keep up the great hospitality.

The service was quality and Nathan and the rest of the staff took care of us. The food was great and I would definitely recommend coming here.

Super busy, staff run off their feet and waited for an hour just to be seated. Then they messed up our order and charged the wrong amount.

Went again to the Marina we ordered food as we normally do has to be done my a manger as I’m lactose intolerance I ordered the chick wrap no sour cream after 45 mins we asked where our food was to be told it was coming my husbands came out and 15 mins later my sons and mine came as soon as mine came out I went to eat the wrap and realised it had sour cream in I sent it back straight away and waited another 25 mins for my food by this time my husband and son had finished no apologie or nothing manger sent a young girl over to offer us a free desert I told her I’m sorry but I just want to go we paid £75 for 3 meals I know it was not her fault and the manger said he was coming to talk to us which he never if I had of eaten one bite of that wrap I wound been very ill as lactose intolerance is not a laughing matter the manger did not care all he cared about was getting the takeaway orders out in the end we just left I will be taking this further as this is twice this has happened but though will give them another try but I know for sure I will not be going back home of a place

Had a great meal here today. Jack was particularly helpful and assisted us with an order which catered for my daughter’s allergies. It is so reassuring when allergies are taken seriously and it’s great to receive such brilliant service. Thanks..we will be back!

They had a few things missing from the menu this evening, but these were explained as we entered. This wasn't really an issue and we were served quickly, as usual and we all enjoyed our meal.

The guy who served us was super friendly and helpful. It’s Nando’s, it’s essentially fast food, so it’s hard to give a 5 star review. But if you like a Nando’s every now and then, this is a great one to go to.

Very disappointing experience. Waited a long time to be seated and then to get the food, couldn't even get a glass of tap water or have cutlery as you need to do get everything on your own there. I wouldn't mind so much if the service was not so busy that you can't even ask them where to find these basic stuff. To top it off the food was half cold when served, and not tasty. It was eatable, but we were expecting better.

Manager jack was a great guy. Food came a bit late but he made up for it with his attitude and energy

Diabolical service even if busy on Saturday night. We are only two and first we’re told 60 mins wait to be seated so we tried to get in somewhere else but all full so went back. They then sat us straight away and we ordered online to the table. They were busy but not at full capacity. After 31 minutes of waiting we asked whether this delay was normal and they said yes and would chase up the order but I could see dozens of plates of food by the kitchen just not being taken to the table and waiters just walking past it and not taking it to anyone. Chased it up twice and said we now have only 45 mins left until our parking runs out. It took chasing it twice more before finally after 45 mins total it arrived . it was in fairness good when it did but we asked for sharing plates from the server and she said she would bring some but five minutes later nothing so we had to chase that up too. The chap went to the kitchen to get it out the dishwasher as that had run out of clean plates. We had to wolf the food down as only had 30 mins from when the food arrived until our parking limit had expired. Again it was busy yes but not at full capacity as quite a few tables were not filled. We did not enjoy the food at all

Lovely location on the Marina but the service is soo slow it’s a a joke. Easy 30 minute wait for food after being ordered. Food is good one item sent back as was cold. Overall a lovely place and staff were friendly but need to work on the wait times.

Do not order from here for delivery they take your money then don’t deliver just try getting your money back impossible just lost £22 to them now having to go through my bank to try and get my money back .

I rarely leave reviews, but the staff at this Nando’s deserve praise. Good, friendly service!

I rang this branch today to book for a work do next week on Wed and they said they can't take a booking until on the day! As you and I know, one needs to find a venue for a work function ahead of time and they couldnt be persuaded and clearly happy to turn down potential revenue from 20 diners! Bonkers!

The best nandos I have been in, staff were lovely and the food was excellent.

Restaurant half full. 10minute wait at the desk to be seated by a staff member who couldn’t be bothered to show us to a table and instead stood next to us chatting to a colleague. After we were seated we were then told 20 minute wait on all food turned into 40 minute wait for any chicken on the bone when we went to order. When the food finally arrived it was cold. Absolutely awful on a Tuesday night. Karen’s would have been a better shout, at least you actually go there fully expecting the awful experience

Me my husband and son went to nandos I had the grilled chicken wrap I ordered and made staff y aware that I have a lactose intolerant allergy when I got my wrap it had yogurt dressing on it I asked for none of this but just the bbq spice and salad it even had a allergy stick stuck in top of the wrap my husband had to call someone over and they got a manager who took my food away and made me another one he then brought my food back and said he had made it him self no apology or nothing if I had of eaten this I would of been really ill we go nandos a lot and never had a problem but I don't think we could go back again

Recently ordered for delivery. Ordered the spiced chickpea pitta, which should have included rainbow slaw, houmous and pickled red onions. They sent me a bland and mushy patty in a plain, dry pitta. It was so bad, I couldn't eat it, even after I added my own houmous to it. Our peri-peri chips were also limp and soggy and had very little peri-peri. The entire meal was a waste of money and it ruined my evening.

Very fast fastfood. Precooked chicken waiting for you hours before you arrive. I didn't like it's taste. Salad also was fresh hours before I arrived. Staff very nice, however I had to order at the till. They require smartphone app or web page to order food which in either case requires customer's email (why?). I don't think I'll come back there.

Went here as a Birthday treat for our small daughter. As you cannot pre book a seat, we went down just before lunch as we have had trouble getting in on a previous visit. Not that busy when we arrived and were promptly seated, ordered our food on the App and waited, and waited and waited…….. At least 20 minutes passed and the waiter brought out our food and apologised for the delay. Looked good, until we each took a bite out of the chicken…… Absolutely stone cold, including the sides Complained to the waiter who called the manager Offered to re cook the food, but we declined as the branch had already spoilt a birthday celebration Will probably never return

Thought we would go back to Nando’s Marina for a change for lunch, it’s a great location with sea views and marina views . Lee staff was very helpful and explained the ordering system again , we used QR code which worked well , shame we paid in advance 😟 The order arrived in good time , but I have to say stale , hard rolls, and the driest chicken , was really hard work , properly the worst butter fly chicken burger Ive ever had . Gave up waiting for our plates to be taken sat we could comment . Won’t be coming back .

First time visiting. I didn’t realize this was a chicken restaurant, until we sat down and looked at the menu. I was a bit disappointed because I wasn’t in the mood for chicken. We stayed anyway, because we were hungry. I ended up just ordering a couple of appetizers and dessert. My wife had a salad and dessert. About 40 mins passed between when they brought out the starter and when they brought her salad. They ended up apologizing and without hesitation, didn’t charge us for our entire meal. That is the way I expect a good establishment to act. Our meal was tasty. Now that I know there are all about chicken. In the future, when I’m in the mood for it, I’ll give them another try.

Came in at 9:30 ish as a group of 8 to celebrate our friends birthday and the service was amazing. We were greeted by a lovely man (think he was a manager). Our food was perfect and we then got asked if we wanted to try some spicy rice which again was amazing! Highly recommend this nandos will definitely be coming back!

Pleasant meal on a Saturday afternoon. Despite being fairly busy, we were seated straight away and did not have to wait long for our food. Food not terribly warm; some of it was sitting on the pass for a while. Skin on boneless thighs was not crispy. Long wait to order puddings, only one staff member taking orders.

Food was good but waited a long time for our food to be brought out. We had to ask for it in the end as could see it sitting under the hot lamps for a while.

We went as a small group of 4 on Friday eve and we were really disappointed. The service was awful the food was delivered cold for 3 of us and the 3rd person waited a while for theirs. The staff didn't care and yet awaiting a reply back to my complaint clearly no worries or concern regarding customer service maybe worth learning from your colleagues in Brighton centre?? Avoid this place if want good service and nice hot food

Nando’s is a very standard meal, but they were out of a lot of things which restricted our selection and reduced our veggie selection. Staff didn’t seem too bothered but I’m not gonna complain. It was all just ok.

The food is good, sometimes even great. The spiced chickpea pita we had was juicy, spicy and substantial, unlike when we had it as a burger or a wrap. Their vegan and vegetarian options all taste nice, though are quite limited and don't really measure up to what other places have to offer. It's a shame because out of all meat products, in my opinion, chicken is the easiest to substitute. On a sidenote, this time around the pita we got with our starter tasted like it was part-baked / bake-at-home bread that wasn't fully baked. Service is as good as you get when you are heavily incentivised to use your phone to place an order online. Not terrible but given that they are priced like and market themselves more like an actual restaurant than say, a McDonald's, it's a bit naff. They have lovely decor, music and friendly staff, but when I'm paying £15-20 for a meal with a drink I expect better.

Never been to nandos before wish i could be more positive, but it was not a great experience, burger was smallest ever, bun and meat was very tough and not very hot, staff to young to care , on the positive side the seagull that was hanging around finished the burger when we left .The wine was nice and beer .
