Belgian chips in Brighton and Hove

What’s happened to this place. Just spent £25 for 3 chips to be greeted by an over worked moody server with a poor attitude who was tight with the amount of sauce on the chips. Most of the chips had no sauce and when I asked for more sauce he tried to charge me more. This place used to be good but now it’s time for it to close down.

I have never been a fan of chips until I tried Belgian chips. The service was very quick and the staff guy was very decent. I ordered a small cone with a sauce of chef recommendation, and it tasted amazing.

Nice chips with forks, fair price, the little outdoor seating with the holes the dips fit in is cute. Veg spring rolls were amazing and a nice place to get a cheap meal and chat with friends

The food was delicious. The chicken and the chips were amazing. I loved every bite. And the staff were really nice and friendly. Great customer service. I am definitely going back as many times as possible while in Brighton.

Rip off. £1 for ketchup after you paid £7 for a small potion of chicken popcorn. Joke!

For an establishment with the word "chips" in their name you would expect the chips to be amazing. And that's exactly what you get. The chips are expertly prepared to order. Fluffy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, and they stay tasting great even when they get colder. It is expensive but I ordered a small box and a chicken burger and that was more than enough for me (I didn't finish the chips, and the photo I took was after I had already had a bunch). If you’re visiting with a partner I would recommend a burger each and a small box of chips to share. The sauces are expensive but all of the seasonings are free, so make sure you don't miss out on them. I didn't know about the free seasonings and just got salt and vinegar on mine which still tasted amazing. By the way, the chicken burger was also top notch. I had mine with the coronation chicken sauce. I also recommend the honey mustard sauce. They are a take-away establishment but they have limited seating outside, which isn't very well maintained unfortunately. We weren't given napkins with our open boxes and had to ask for some. Overall the food is great if you're looking for a chicken burger and chips that won't disappoint, but the prices and experience aren't the best. Still, I'm looking forward to subsequent visits when I will try some of their interesting sounding seasonings.

So i went there last night to order large fries in a cone with ketchup, that would come up to £9.50, and I also bought a bottle of diet coke, which is £2.00, all together it comes up to £11.50. So he gave me my fries and coke, but he forgot the ketchup, so I said to "sorry I asked for ketchup to" and then he made me gave him £1.00 even though he already charged me for the ketchup 😐

Very creepy staff member working on the 20/03/24. Was looking at my 15 year old sister in a very creepy way. One of his friends showed up also making her uncomfortable. In the end they were chatting amongst each other and staring at her while we were sitting eating our food, this made us leave within 2 mins of receiving our food. Creepy no matter what age the person receiving this attention but the fact she was 15 is sickening.

The Food is Hot and delicious. The food isn’t expensive and the staff was really friendly. I recommend everybody to try the chips and mozzarella sticks

I’ve heard of Belgium chips before and wanted to give it a try, I was warmly welcomed by a gentleman called Walid. He was very helpful and helped me choose the best seasoning and sauce that suited my palate. If you get a chance to try these chips I would recommend as the technique they use make the chips crispy, yet fluffy and not greasy at all. Thank you

Disappointed. My portion of chips mostly comprised of end of scuttle bits.Outside seating cramped.

Chips. Banging. Mozzarella sticks. Average. Customer service. Appalling. As I was ordering the guy had an earphone in and was on call to someone. It’s unbelievable. As someone who works in hospitality, I could never imagine even doing that to the customer. It’s disrespectful. He should not run a shift if he’s a disrespectful as that in the future.

Nice chips, beware the chilly sauce bloody hot

Absolutely disgusting service from a lad (dark skin, black hair). Seen Belgium Chips on every corner lately, so thought to give it a try. Me, my wife and kid came to Brighton to celebrate my bday, out of curiosity decided to take just one Large Chips and Popcorn Chicken with different sauces. Everytime I asked a question - guy who works there rolled eyes up, no manners whatsoever, last droplet was when I asked extra stick for chips and guy just did “tut-tut” and had such an angry look that we took what we bought and left to eat elsewhere. 03.09.2021 evening- Brighton branch with seats

Amazing chips. We asked for the ketchup to be added on all the chips. It made the chips soggy and hard to grab. Still amazing chips though!

Love Belgian chips. They are a lot more expensive that standard chip shop chips but are crispy delicious and there's a huge variety of sauces - cheese can be added too. More seating needed outside as you can't eat food in Brighton without shelter because of the seagulls.

MASSIVELY OVER RPICED AND TERRIBLE SERVICE. Why anyone would chose to eat here I do not know. try going to any local chip shop or kebab ship where a small chips will net your more chips than a large chips from this place.

Sauces were not in pots as ordered

Spoke to customer service and explained the situation. They told me I would hear back in two days, I've heard nothing. Also spoke to two different people to change my email address on the account and it hasn't been changed. Absolute joke from start to finish.

Need to invest in a better dishing process as the cone doesn’t work 😳

The chips were too greasy, not cooked enough and tasted weirdly.

Ordered 1 medium portion of fries between 2. Added Tomato Ketchup and Garlic Mayonnaise as an extra. Very impressed with the taste and really good value! Went well with the Battered Fish we ordered. There are several of these outlets in Brighton town centre.
