The Breakfast Club in Brighton and Hove

The Brighton branch is probably my favourite. Food was great and the service was spot on. Great start to the day.

Excellent welcome, excellent ambience and tasty food. However, where money is concerned, they're tighter than two coats of paint, for example, my iced oat milk latte costing £4.10 came in a SMALL glass (tumbler sized), which to my mind is unheard of for an iced latte. Usually one gets a tall glass for a iced latte. And I only got 8 VERY small quarters of strawberry on my pancakes. That's 2.6 very small pieces of strawberry per pancake. Simply not enough in my view.

Very mediocre food! Halloumi was burnt and the muffin felt stale. Also very overpriced!! The fancy exterior looks inviting but you’d do well to avoid this place, it’s a rip off.

Trip to Brighton and had heard things about this place in the Lanes. Once we worked out the queue (scan the QR code on the sign) and waited 25 mins for our table to be ready we got seated. Service was good, the food was lovely, bit pricey for some items (£3 for a cup of tea seems steep) and we did wait about 30 mins for the food but I credit it being Easter Friday and very busy.

It was average, i had smoked salmon and scrambled egg, the egg tasted like it was cooked in oil. Also, they don't take cash. So I won't go back. And £90 for 4 breakfasts, nothing special and 4 coffees. Nice atmosphere, if not a bit pretentious.

We chose The Breakfast Club for breakfast based on its high ratings, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. We arrived at 9am when it wasn’t particularly busy, with only the main floor open. Although we placed our order quickly, it took 35 minutes for a simple plate of eggs on toast with bacon. When it finally arrived, both the bacon and toast were overcooked, and overall, the food felt overpriced for what it was. On a positive note, our server was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. That said, the slow service and lack of value mean we wouldn’t return.

Took ages to be seated. Nice Diner vibe inside but the breakfast felt very stodgy. Great atmosphere inside but not somewhere I'd revisit especially for breakfast.

Ned was a brilliant waiter. He was helpful, cheery and polite to me and my family. Great place to get breakfast!

We visit The Breakfast Club every time we come to Brighton and the food is always top tier! Our server, Ned, was super friendly, great with our kids and recommended the perfect sauces for our hash browns! He’s an asset to your team. We’ll be back again soon :)

Took the family for my daughter’s Birthday. Really enjoyed it. Special call out to Ned for giving us the take out box for our leftover sausage and potatoes so he could get a review to make sure he can get his Naughty Ned’s Night of Nookie in a local hotel. Good luck mate, stay classy.

We absolutely love this place. Proper American diner vibes. Service can be a little slow when it's busy, especially as they take delivery orders too - although, to be honest, it's always busy! We like the slower service, as it gives us a chance to chill. Pink Maple Lemonade is very lush - tart, but refreshing. I regretted not having this last time, so had to this morning, and waited to have a coffee later in the day instead! I go large on brunch here - fluffy pancakes, bacon, hash browns (the tastiest!!) and halloumi, all drizzled in maple syrup. My wife went for smashed avocado, with Pico de gallo, spring onions, poached eggs, halloumi and of course, the famous Brekky Club beans.

Not much I can say. Words don’t do the breakfast club justice. Awesom

We visited the Brighton for the weekend and decided to have lunch at the Breakfast Club and had a delicious lunch. Great food a lovely atmosphere, enhanced by the decor and music but the highlight of the visit was the exceptional service provided by our server, he was warm, welcoming, efficient and took a genuine interest in our visit to Brighton and our plans for the day, so a big thank you to the Breakfast Club and especially our wonderful server Ned for making our visit extra special.

The best breakfast! The food was amazing as well as the drinks. The staff were all lovely and accommodating despite the busy atmosphere. Ned our server was great and made sure we had everything we needed!

A big thank you to the Brighton Team. My Wife and I arrived with our 5 year old Son for brunch at lunchtime today. Our Son has severe autism and can become overwhelmed in certain places. Not only did the team allow us extra space pushing tables together but also we're happy us moving to a corner when our Son began to have a moment. They were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and we loved the coffee. It's rare we get the chance to have food out without a problem but due to this team it was a joy. Thank you all.

We found this place on Google and it looks great when you arrive. The customer service is great and the staff were really friendly. We didn’t think the food and drink was worth what we paid. £6.50 seemed high for an orange juice. £42 for two breakfasts was a lot

Fuimos aquí como JB’s ha cerrado tristemente. Gastó £ 70 en 2 batidos, 2 jugos, desayuno americano y una pila de tortitas más un lado de tomates verdes fritos. El maitre de era encantador, pero la comida era decepcionante. Las tortitas estaban secas y robustas al mismo tiempo y solo 2 rodajas de tocino rayado en la pila. No suficiente jarabe de arce. Batidos y zumo bien, pero nada especial. Lo mejor fue la salchicha que fue decepcionante para un desayuno americano. Le conté al servidor sobre las tortitas (la mayoría de las cuales dejamos) al final, pero no ofrecí reducir la factura. No volveré.

Brilliant breakfast today. We booked ahead and managed to get booth seats. I’m gluten intolerant and was delighted to be told to “order whatever you want and we’ll make it happen’ . I had the All American breakfast which was fantastic . GF pancakes and extra bacon instead of sausage (contains Gluten) with beautifully cooked scrambled eggs. Coffee was top notch too. Staff were totally on point with everything. Well worth the 40 mile drive for breakfast! 😊

Very good food and atmosphere. We were served by a girl who speaks Spanish. Very nice, and so are the others. The food of all kinds is very varied and very good.

Food and drink were great. I had the ‘greasy spoon’ which is a full English breakfast & a latte. Only thing stopping this getting a 5/5 is the price. Food great, service great. Please not they only take card!

Tesco pancakes , processed pancakes, would not recommend, 13£ for kids sized portions , the place is packed only cause of the people liking the atmosphere and not the food

Ate here during a weekend break to Brighton in September 2024. We were really excited for our breakfast and were welcomed and seated. Staff were attentive even though they were very busy at peak time. Although we had a long wait for food due to the restaurant and online delivery corders affecting the kitchen, we enjoyed the atmosphere + coffee. When our food arrived it was delicious. I'm not usually a big fan of American-style pancakes (this was my husband's pick for eating out) they were the best I'd ever had! Before we left we chatted with (Jack?) who was the manager for the day. Not only did he offer us a discount on our bill due to the wait, but he also recommended tourist attractions off the beaten track in Brighton which absolutely made the rest of our day out. All in all a great visit. I'd love to eat here again if we ever stop by Brighton again in the future!

My morning at The Breakfast Club in Brighton started with a bit of a puzzle. There was a line out the door—apparently, it’s all the rage because of some classic movie connection (which, confession, I haven’t seen). I bypassed the queue and found myself wondering what the fuss was about as I sat down. The food? It was alright, nothing to write home about, especially considering the price tag seemed a bit inflated. I’d just had a tastier breakfast at a little cafe around the corner, which really set the bar high. The place had a buzzing atmosphere, probably the movie magic, but for someone just after a good meal, it felt more like hype than substance. It's a decent spot if you stumble upon it without a wait, but standing in line? That’s a plot twist I'd rather skip. Curiosity brought me in, but I left still scratching my head—why is this breakfast club the talk of the town? 🤔🎉

So so yummy! Fluffy thick pancakes, crispy bacon and beautifully cooked eggs! Hats off to the chef! All delivered warm. Thank you !

Only one egg with a breakfast despite being expensive. When ordering an extra one, the gentleman snapped at me "One egg only. Okay?" Not impressed with that.

Alimentos: 10 / 10 , Full Monty El desayuno era espléndido, salchicha y pudín negro era hermoso. Las tortitas eran esponjosas y dulces. Bebidas 10 / 10 , realmente no puede ir mal con un café negro, pero tiene un sabor genial. En general una de las mejores experiencias que tuve. También tenía un camarero con una camisa de Lord of The Rings - que sentí que era un buen último toque 🤣

La comida era buena, mucha comida por el precio. La comida salió rápidamente. El personal era amable, amable y muy servicial. Los platos y cubiertos estaban limpios. El único problema que tengo es que había un “opcional 12. 5% de cargo por servicio”, pero el personal nunca mencionó eso y me sentí muy apresurado a pagar. Sugiero que el personal le diga a los clientes que hay un cargo extra, ya que llamarlo “opcional” cuando nunca nos lo dijeron y solo lo vieron después de leer el recibo no me parece opcional en absoluto. Aparte de eso todo estaba bien.

Unattentive waiting staff. Spending more time dancing to the restaurants soundtrack then paying attention to the customers. 15-20 mins to be served, which is ironic as we witnessed a waiter hassling a table to hurry up with their order. Bacon was tasteless plastic. No check backs. £45 for two English fry ups. Ha. Go anywhere else.

The big stack I got was really good. The silverware I received was dirty, the cups for water needs replacing.

Came for a lovely breakfast on our first full day at brighton. Eggs benedict & full english were delicious, service was great. Very popular place to go!

Love the breakfast club! Gri was particularly helpful with allergy/intolerance guidance. I have coeliac but there were lots of options and it's a nice relaxed environment. Dogs welcome too!

Un lugar ocupado, con estilo, el personal era genial, acogedor, amable y servicial. Pedí el Big Stack y un café con leche de avena (que eran 50 p.m. y la única leche alternativa). La pila grande era generalmente sabrosa, sin embargo, no era la misma temperatura en todo, las tortitas eran un stadgy. Mi compañero pidió el Full Monty, estaba muy decepcionado, solo 1 salchicha, hongos acuosos, 1 de los huevos no estaba corrido el otro moco, no estaba caliente y en su opinión las judías no eran grandes, las judías horneadas habrían sido más auténtico y sabroso.

Great staff and the place is clearly doing a great trade, however as a chef myself I am particularly passionate about as they put it “ our national dish” the full English breakfast. The BC beans although tasty enough had no place on an English breakfast, standard baked beans would have been far more authentic. For a “full Monty” to only come with a single sausage I felt was poor. One of my fried eggs had a skin on the yolk whereas the other didn’t, I don’t think they were cooked together, one had sat under the lights too long. When I do go to a greasy spoon I tend to leave the mushrooms as they are often “boiled in there own juice rather than fried, but in this seemingly higher end venue, paying 17.50 I expected the mushrooms to have hit a hot pan and be seasoned correctly, not be watery and insipid. And the whole plate needed to be warmer, by the time I had finished (and I eat quickly) it was cold, especially the mushrooms, releasing cold water into my mouth as a chewed them we not nice at all. True it was a cold day, but my plate wasn’t hot, this would have helped keep the whole thing warmer. My girlfriend’s pancakes were stodgy and again not hot enough. A nice place but a bit of an insult to a Full English breakfast especially at that price.

When I arrived the staff seemed a little off might have been an off day. Think his Name was Jordan looked tired! My order continued to disappoint, sausages came out a little limp overall not great.

Even though we had to wait 45 mins for a table, there was a digital queuing service which is handy. Well worth the wait too. Great food, impeccable service 👌 We will be back.

We are big fans of a decent breakfast, not only variety, but good quality. We ordered tea and a full cooked breakfast and smashed avocado/ eggs. It was excellent, cooked well and very tasty. Next time I’m in Brighton I would definitely return!

Waiters were nice, but the food was not good. My right hand wrist is literally so sore because of the bread I had to fight to cut. I got the eggs Benedict, given with VERY stiff vegan bacon, and the bread it was served on was SO hard to cut. I was annoyed in the moment, but more annoyed now that my wrist is hurting. And they served us tap water, and the glasses were DIRTY. One had a full on lipstick mark on it. Feel like they don’t wash their glasses. Be careful, and DONT order the eggs Benedict. Unless you want a painful wrist at the end of the day. We paid service charge, but REGRET it.

Stunning place! You must try their salty Pancakes and Eggs Benedicts. So good! Unfortunately I come to Brighton only once a week due to work, but this place ladies and gents is the best and for me it's a must to stop by when I can. It's a very busy place but you always find great energy and nice atmosphere! The staff is amazing, they are always looking after you and taking care about your food experience. Big big thanks to the strong guy called Fabio, he always made our day with fantastic service and big smiles. It's impossible don't enjoy your brekkie and don't have good time here. The best by far so far 💯 cheers to the boyz, keep rocking it. Thank you for the amazing food.

My breakfast which is quite expensive the bacon was inedible rock hard ,Burnt ! small plate. sausages like cardboard ,awful and eggs cold, I would never pay so much for one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had ,from a venue called the “breakfast club “!!!! How can you get it so wrong such a simple meal ?

Really good food. I had the pancake plate with 3 chosen toppings. At first I thought the size of the topping portions were small but it ended up being the perfect amount. But it was a bit pricy £14 for 3 pancakes and 2 toppings and extra toppings were £2.50. My partner had the fried chicken, bacon waffle. It was okay chicken was not good a tad watery so I would not recommend this dish. We shared the hash browns with cheese dipping sauce. The hash browns were 10/10 and I loved the sauce but it would have been so much better is the cheese sauce was hot.
