The Breakfast Club in Brighton and Hove

Honestly my favourite food place in Brighton so far! Their pancakes are incredible, all the staff were absolutely lovely and the overall vibe of the place was super nice. It's definitely not cheap, but the food is so good I can't even complain about the prices, and the portions are quite big so you're always full afterwords! I don't think there's a single bad thing I can say

We went the other morning for breakfast before going to work. The room is very large and well looked after. Welcoming staff who, even without a reservation, managed to seat us without problems. We tried two toasts with eggs, salmon and bacon, cappuccino and orange juice. All very good and generous portions. Advised!

Had the best Gluten free pancakes I’ve ever had. There’s loads to choose from and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Got my late brunch, it's satisfying. .nothing U can't complaint, it looks fair portions for my eyes but it's not for my Indonesian stomach. Unfortunately, I found that leave again, I think it was the coriander. I just don't like it. The place is easyyy to find the yellooow restaurant, and found the toilet was clean ! I do really appreciate that..keep it up 💪🏽

Good food but small portions for the price. Breakfasts were cooked well and were not greasy. Very tasty. Sarah was our waitress and she was brilliant.

Fantastic place with great atmosphere, really attentive and switched on staff and delicious food. They did a cracking job for us given 3 out of 4 of us had allergies to contend with. Thank you.

Went here with my little boy for brunch. Food was lovely. So glad we had booked a table as it was very busy. Staff were friendly from initial greeting at the door till the very end. Even though there was only 2 of us we were very kindly given a booth. I think our waiter was called John who was very attentive and kind. Highly recommend.

Food was good you won’t regret your morning brunch here. However, there’s always long queue so it’s always best you book your number whilst take stroll nearby and come back when your number is being called. It’s a breakfast place so the crowd is always full and loud. If you are with kids hopefully this would be a claustrophobic for them or for you to manage them here. For friends group and couple probably the good place to eat and enjoy your time. Price I think it’s on the mid to upper range but since the portions are good size I am mostly fine by trading off there.

Bit gutted to write this review as rarely have anything negative to say about places however slightly let down today. Was really looking forward to a great breakfast to start our lovely sunny day in Brighton however after waiting over 45 mins, being told ours was next and seeing breakfast after breakfast being delivered to other customers who came after us.....we were really disappointed 😞 Staff did their best to reassure us but when it finally came out, poached eggs were hard/ cold and we didn't get our French Toast. We were left with only 30 mins to eat before we had to leave to check out our hotel......we had allowed 2 hrs. Breakfast was given free which was much appreciated however gutted it just wasnt as good as we hoped especially being BIG BREAKFAST/FOODIE people!!! On a positive note EVERYONE ELSE'S FOOD looked amazing...even though they arrived after us but got food before us🫣

Very cool spot for breakfast. Very friendly service. Book to avoid disappointment or a wait especially on weekend/bank holidays. Only small thing I'd ask is why is a cuppa £3? I understand overheads, staffing etc, but urgh still hurts 😂

In my opinion this is the best breakfast club out of them all. I have been to all the branches in London and the food is sometimes disappointing, this one however never disappoints the chefs at this branch are 5*!! Would 100% recommend

If you are looking for a 90s dinning experience with tasty and scrumptious food, this is the place. We had Avo, Eggs and Cheese Sandwich, Pancakes with berries and fruits. The plate arrangement was simple yet effective and good. We tried the berries smoothie too and we were impressed. They offer colouring for the little humans so that they can have a full cosy experience. This was our first time in Brighton, next time it will be again our first choice for breakfast. Thank you

Gorgeous food, with a large variety of dishes to choose from. Really friendly, helpful staff. Is a busy place but you can scan the qr code and add yourself to the queue. Worth waiting for.

I visited there with my friend on 4 March. Although English is our second language, the staff is friendly and patient in helping us order meals. After eating the meal, my friend told me that the pancakes in there were the most delicious ones she had ever eaten in her life. We both like the food provided there. Moreover, the toilets are very clean. Highly recommended!

I went on a date here, first time In Brighton. The review from my date - The food was warm, the portions are decent sizes and first service. She also got the green juice and said it was cool. I have to agree the food was very filling and decent priced. Ranging from 1-15£ for full meal. Dan was a server, nice and attentive man. Great music and retro atmosphere. I recommend this joint as a food spot in Brighton. (Dan in the pictures below) 😭

Had such a brilliant time at The Breakfast Club - we were a big party and the staff were so friendly and patient, they really made our day. Given how many of us there were the food came quickly and was delicious! Especially given it was a busy Saturday morning, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Breakfast sandwich was brilliant, couldn’t have done any better myself. Plus an added bonus is that fact that I love receiving the little notes and messages that are on the bag when I collect it. It makes my day

I feel a bit harsh only giving 3 stars here. Mainly because the guy who served us was amazing. But upon entering we could smell the toilets downstairs and that was just really off putting. Not the ideal thing to smell whilst standing by the doors waiting to be seated. The atmosphere is great and I love the idea of this place, but when the food came I was a bit underwhelmed at the portion size. Had I known it was going to be so small I would have ordered an extra side or maybe some toast. I actually left still feeling hungry. I’ve been here before several years ago and I remember it being a great experience, but on this occasion the toilet smell by the entrance and the small portion size of the veggie spoon breakfast means I’ll probably look elsewhere next time.

Great experience! Modern, up to date seat reservation system with QR code at the door to secure your seat and get faster service. The guy that served us was unbelievably friendly, laid back and passionate about his job. Really tasty coffee and cool boaty vibes. Fair price for the food and drink also.

It was not perfect. There was cold gravy and some of the food was forgotten. However, the food tastes absolutely amazing and the staff were perfect. Our waiter is the greatest that we have had for ages and made up for it all. Going back there just for him.

Loved the Bean Shashuka with avocado toast. My vegetarian son was really impressed with his American breakfast. Service is efficient and friendly. Portions are generous.

Impeccable! Fantastic breakfast burrito, also reasonably priced! I rocked up at bang on 8am and Jack's service was brilliant, the coffee fully revived me for the day ahead.

Very busy and had a nice atmosphere, we managed to get a table within 15 minutes which was lovely. Service was impeccable, everyone’s so so so lovely!! The menu was amazing, so varied and unique pieces. However the food wasn’t the best which is a shame, it’s obviously all personal preference, but for me and the people i went with, we weren’t a fan. Which is really upsetting because of how good the menu is, so we probably won’t return.

We stumbled upon this bright and vibrant yellow fasçade just by chance, during our walking tour of Brighton. Since all of us already had our breakfast earlier, we didnt go inside, but we did take the opportunity to have our photos taken, to replicate our #thebreakfastclub sessions in Kuala Lumpur, which had lost a key member after Aimi had left for Brighton last october 2023... So, basically, #thebreakfastclub came to visit Aimi at The Breakfast Club in Brighton!!

This place has gone downhill sadly. Food is now made up of super cheap ingredients cooked by (I assume) not a chef. The sausages are cheap, the black pudding is cheap and dried out, the eggs had pale yellow anemic yolks, the “crispy bacon” was soggy and fatty and not crispy, The hash brown was raw and not cooked. The pancakes are ok, but you can’t really mess that up. Boom 80 quid including service for an adult and 2 kids for somthing you could make your self at home for a tenner. Pretty poor. Won’t go again. The staff are having fun though, singing along to the music, so that’s ok then.

Amazing team and food. It was quite busy so we waited about 5 minutes to be sat, but it was well worth the short wait. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit and the Bloody Mary was lovely too, thank you!

Such a nice vibe - came for breakfast and the staff were just lovely! Great playlist on so everyone was having a sing along - we had eggs Benedict, pancakes, coffees and hot chocolates! Everything was delicious and prices weren’t too bad - Will deffo be back !

Great place for a brunch with mimosas. They serve egg Benedict with avocado and halloumi. They chai latte is with beet. So all and all very interesting options. The service is very nice and they take the allergies very serious. They come checking every time they service. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very informal and homey. Thank you very much!

Great atmosphere and great Staff.. I Eat here last weekend and won't be again I'm afraid. Which is a shame as I've eaten here a fair few times in the past.. My Reason is I couldn't pay with cash!! No signs or notified that it was a cashless business.. Luckily I had my cards on me as that would of got awkward situation

Food and service 100%! Tried to pay with cash which wasn't accepted, no signs to say card only... manager was amazing about the whole thing. Another point, stairs are great but steep .. I'm sensible, others aren't Head Office... sort your signs out before someone has a major claim up ! Your team are amazing.. 5 stars for them ... ✨️

Had a delightful visit to The Breakfast Club in Brighton with my partner. The hospitality was top-notch – we could safely store our luggage, freeing up our table. The fry-up was fantastic, boasting generous portions and high-quality ingredients. Despite a hiccup with the coffee machine, the staff's apologetic and proactive response, including removing the tea from our bill, showcased excellent customer service. Highly recommend this spot – loved every moment!

Awesome place. Really good menu selection, the only downside to which is that it's so hard to choose! I had the TBC Burger and my partner the pancakes with fruit and bacon. Both meals were really good, nothing to fault at all. As a coffee gourmet, I'm nearly always disappointed with coffee I haven't made myself so it was great to find somewhere that did brilliant coffee. Came to Brighton for a birthday break and up until the breakfast club everything had gone wrong for us. The lovely helpful staff have really lifted and elevated this break for us and we are seeing the funny side of it all now. They fed your body and lift your soul.

This place is not worth it. It's overpriced, the portions are tiny and the quality of the food is very average except for the potatoes which come as an extra at £3 a pop. The difference between this and a McDonald's breakfast is that Breakfast Club's menu offers more choice. I don't recommend it and would never return.

Great food, took a friend from up north and we both loved the food! The drinks were pricey, £6 for a juice is a lot to a northerner! I paid though so didn’t matter. 🤣

This is one of my favourite places to eat. It cane be quite busy, so if you want to go, I'd plan for an early breakfast! If you do have to wait, its worth it 😊

This is a great venue, quirky staff, and some good quality food and service. Pleasantly greeted by Spice Girl wannabe with a beard, and a pantomime character in the kitchen. This place is really popular so I would highly recommend prebooking. We arrived, without booking, and had a 10 minute wait. Larger parties would wait longer. I visited The Breakfast Club with my family in half term. We found the menu broad enough that we all chose exactly what we fancied, which is a challenge with my two teen daughters! Drinks are made fresh and arrive in good time and the coffee is a decent sized mug, not the little tea cup you get in other restaurants. The serving staff were quick and attentive without being intrusive. They were all very polite and helpful. The atmosphere is great with music at a decent volume. This was definitely to the liking of the barista who obviously loved his job and could be seen dancing whilst making coffee! The food came out in good time and was really well presented and hot. Food was tasty. I strongly recommend the breakfast! A large side of hash browns came out with a great choice of dips. The Breakfast Club Brighton is a must with your family, partner or a group of mates. Strongly recommended.

Having been here a few times when visiting Brighton in recent years it was a shame our last visit wasn't a good experience. Sunday morning breakfast here is a great treat, you can really go to town and spoil yourself. The dishes we have always taste good and are well presented. However, when we last visited (last week of September) the time it took from the point of ordering to our food arriving was disappointing. For a table of 3 it took 40 minutes. Our drinks arrived promptly but were consumed by the time our food was presented. We noticed 2 other tables experienced similar delays. Directly opposite a table of 2 waited 15 minutes to place their order and another 35 before their food arrived. All the time we were patiently waiting we saw that food was rapidly leaving the premises for online deliveries. This seemed to be a noticeable priority. Good for the business but not a great model for seated customers. Our servers were friendly but sensing the tables were being delayed they remained in the wings only tending to tables when there was a need to. Regrettably, and for the first time ever, I asked that the included service charge be removed from our bill. Sorry Breakfast Club Brighton, we won't be returning to you.

Staff gave us a friendly welcome and sat us down with a smile. Recommend to book as we kept seeing people be told to wait 25 mins for a table, the restaurant wasn't full, but perhaps this was due to non showing bookings or kitchen capacity. It took a while for our waiter to come over to take our order, and he didn't bring us cutlery until after we got our food. There's nothing worse than staring at your food with the temptation of just forgetting the cutlery and being like Ricky Gervais in Afterlife (fish fingers scene). The food was nice, some of it could have been cooked more, sadly my toast was heated bread. We've been here in the past and had a lovely meal. Maybe we went on an off day. I would say it's worth a visit if you're in the area, but I would say book as I would've been disappointed with my breakfast if I had to wait 25 mins for the table.

Great place and lively atmosphere. Very cute little characters on the menus and walls. Good value for what you order, food quality is delicious ,the portions aren’t overkill either wirh options for big and small meals. Location of the place is great, tucked away in some streets away from a busy road, also if you're sat outside you can watch delivery people drop things off in the morning and people watch! Friendly on the ball staff, had a lovely bite to eat I will definitely be back when I can visit!

We came to The Breakfast Club twice over the weekend we were in Brighton and were so glad we found it! We had The Greasy Spoon breakfast on the Saturday, which was delicious and on the Sunday had pancakes which were amazing! The staff are all so friendly and efficient and the service is fantastic. You won’t regret going if you ever get the chance!

Very nice choice of breakfasts. Cute decor, kind of English pub but elegant. Our guests were impressed. Everyone was happy with their choices, the preparation and presentation. Not rushed. Will definitely return. As of the last notes I can confirm all as above. My guests really enjoyed going here for breakfast. We've been three times this 14 day trip. Coffee was a bit weak for Italians, but the rest was excellent. Friendly atmosfere. Thanks to the staff.

Perfect yummy brunch with my niece, we chose heuvos rancheros and a full English brekkie, accompanied by a cheeky Bloody Mary. They offer small or large portions and veggie/vegan alternatives. The staff seemed happy and relaxed, and were attentive and efficient.

I have to say the French toast at this place is very unique. It's unlike any I've had before. It's very fluffy and light bread. Almost reminds me of Japanese soufflé pancakes. Highly recommend!

Have used 3 times previpusly and after the last time and not being happy , we returned this year. We had a reserved table and personally greeted by Fabio and Libbie who was our nain waitress. Order taken and drinks brought within 5 minutes. The freshest and tastiest orange juice and perfect coffee to wake you up. Excellent selection for me as a non meat eater and did NOT disaapoint with the vegetarian breakfast. We were totally looked aftet in a respectful manner. Dad is 90 and frail so we were allowed to prebook a table for a 2nd visit and we arrived on time and were shown straight through. The service was again excellent from Maddie and Libbie and even thogh short staffed in kitchen and lots of groups to deal with we felt cared about. We had a different selection of food- smashed avocado DE LI CIOUS. So , yes you do have to wait on occasions due to their popularity but ALL the staff do care and food and drink are worth it. The food is so so good and fresh. All staff are lovely, Asmosphere inside is a bit crowded but we sat outside and it's lovely. We will go again if we have a chance as we are not local.

Food was lovely but the service let it down. Took ages for our food to come maybe 35 minutes for a the pancakes. Also wasnt as warm as would have liked. Felt that as we were sat in the corner we were forgotten about.

Came here as is was recommended. sadly I would not come here ever again, The was cold and half of it was undercooked. The toilets were absolutely disgusting and clearly never get cleaned. Could not believe it. To top it of they charge a 12% service charge! Sadly will not be returning

Two of us arrived at 8:15am, after they had opened at 8am, for breakfast. On a week day. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks came quite quickly, but we were waiting the better part of 40 minutes for the food. We hadn't ordered anything complicated, just pancakes with eggs and bacon. A large group did arrive not long after us, but we'd placed our food orders a while before they came, so it wasn't like that was an excuse for the slow service. The service from the staff was fine. Perfectly polite and friendly. I'd been excited to come here, as I've heard good things about the chain. But the service was slow, and the food was honestly nothing that special. I've had equally good food, for half the price, in twice the speed, from little greasy spoon cafes. I don't think I'll make an effort to come here again.
