Brilliant venue. Choice, service and quality all rated highly. Loved everything

I only had coffee, but the place is always lovely with gorgeous views overlooking the sea.

Food was fantastic, friendly staff and very easy to order and get food. Highly recommend.

We’ve had lots of great meals at SH, some places can be hit or miss sometimes but overall great vibes & so good in the summer- I’d recommend booking to avoid disappointment, especially on a great weather day!

Very dog friendly 🐶 Great food, and I love the option to order multiple styles of food from the multiple pop-ups at the same time. Mexican vegan rice bowl, paneer wrap, and Cajun fries all at once? Yes please!

Great location and staff, but the food arrived cold. The staff got it quickly replaced but it proved overly salty.

I’m really felt sad while I’m writing my personal experience for visiting this place couple of times with my wife One of the best spot on the sea front to my heart to sit eat watching the waves and the sun best view However with the worst possible service and the worst argument with non sense answers I get every time I say something I didn’t like So today morning walk with my wife decided to have a brunch and coffee We order 2 coffee and one I wrote in the comment please make it extra hot I can’t drink coffee med or cold And then ordered some starters Coffe came back after 20 min and very cold not even a single smoke came out from the cups “meaning left behind if was made hot from beginning “ And later the starters came Very cold and oily I asked the waiter for a cup of water he told me you can go get it and help your self “while I pay service charge on my receipt “ So I asked the manger to till about my feed back for the coffee and his answer was what is extra hot mean for coffee!! It’s made from hot water ?! “” as you don’t hear or boil the milk first “”or you just heat it for the first customer and keep serving from it till you finish . So I didn’t argue actually I said yes you are alright I just left the place with very sad ending instead of having a nice brunch and coffee enjoy the view for non sense answers

I had a great experience at Shelter Hall! Shay, our host, was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were excellent—perfectly mixed and served with a smile. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy well-crafted cocktails, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!

25 minute wait with only another 3 tables eating and got ‘chips’ so dry they were only good for propping up the the wobbly table. Would come back but definitely not for the Greek bbq.

I booked a private room for my 21st birthday and I was thoroughly impressed! The room itself was super classy and even had the option to set the lighting to how we wanted, change the temperature and even play our own music! The food was as usual amazing and service too!! 10/10

Ordered Rudi’s burgers today. Delicious - tasted like how a proper burger should. The tots and corn ribs were great too. Excellent food. It came pretty quickly too.

Shelter Hall is amazing, great choice of food & drinks, which changes every so often with different kitchens 😁 It’s so easy to order through your phone, making it perfect to go with a group of friends and the service has always been so quick every time! The Oktoberfest was sooooo brilliant, absolutely loved it! Such a fab atmosphere and the band were amazing at getting everyone up and dancing on the benches! Will definitely go again next year!!

Had a great visit to Shelter Hall. Wonderful service, managed to get a seat on the balcony. Sun was shining and it was a great spot for cocktails. We also had pitta with dips, both were fab. Service from all staff was great. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

We hosted a lunch at Shelter Hall for the day after our wedding - having the whole mezzanine floor for our guests! The team were fantastic and all the food was absolutely brilliant - it was the perfect venue with a great view to recount all the stories from the night before. Highly recommended for a function.

Great fun Octoberfest night. Apollo Brass Band were exceptional and the staff were great. Easy for big groups and fun atmosphere.

Everything was lovely, had no expectation going in but could fault it. Staff were great, so friendly. The food was also amazing. We had a day of different cuisines and would 100% have them all again.

Amazing place for a couple of drinks! Lovely view of the sea & the staff was spectacular. Wanna give a big thanks to Shay; the gentleman at the bar, for his wonderful service. Shay was very welcoming & made the visit x10 better with his energy. Will definitely come again for drinks because of him! His service truly elevated our experience. From the moment we went to the bar, he was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Shay took the time to recommend drinks and we loved all of them. It’s rare to encounter someone so passionate about their craft, and he certainly made our visit memorable. Thanks mate 🤝🏼

We came to Oktoberfest on Friday at 6.30. To call it Oktoberfest was somewhat of a joke. There was an Ompah band that were there just over half the session and even then, all they did was oompah up pop songs. Nothing German about them at all other than dressed in Lederhosen. Did play a couple of entertaining games though. After they finished, a DJ took over and played maybe 1 or 2 german songs, preferring Shakira and more Latin pop. The food was good, service was good, Germanic/bavarian atmosphere, terrible. Rip off at 15 quid for a half stein of terrible beer and not much else really!

Food was very tasty but not very hot . It was very busy on a warm Saturday afternoon. I asked for some ice for my drink which never turned up. Toilets only had cold water .no hand soap.to be honest not what I was expecting judging by the previous reviews especially as it was not a cheap place to eat and drink.personally I was disappointed I won't be going back.

I had my food from coqfighter and three little pigs and from the dessert area and it was amazing! Our bartender and our waitresses were amazing and helpful and sooo friendly. The atmosphere was lush and the lighting were perfect!

A great night with amazing cocktails, live music and good food. Loved the amount of choice and the atmosphere was off the charts. Can't wait to go again!

The food was quite good. What I liked the most, though, was the software they used (or designed): the whole process of ordering and paying happened through an app, which was very smooth and easy to use. The atmosphere was great too, with good music and lots of different lighting.

Special place in brighton, by the summer is the big point, but I went with my team during winter too and is also great.

Absolutely love this place! Really great to eat with friends who all like different food. Great options that change every couple of months so every time I go there’s something different. Beautiful views of the beach but can get VERY busy when it’s hot, but that’s just Brighton for you!!!! The ordering system works great and the set out really works. It can get a bit loud so beware it’s sometimes hard to hear at time. Good food and drink prices too, really lovely experience ❤️ Deffo recommend, one of if not my favourite place to eat in Brighton! Love the Photo Booth as well!!!

A gourmet food court where you order on your phone and the food arrives at your table. Lots of seating but can get busy so suggest booking at peak hours.

Great choice of kitchens and good food. Bar is overpriced though. The bar service is slow. Drinks took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. Well after the food.

Fast service, lots of choice, great pizza! It can be hard to choose something along Brighton prom, but there is plenty of choice in one place at Shelter Hall, I do recommend it and would go here again next time I'm down there.

However, the assistant general manager named Grady went out of his way to explain to us in detail what was safe from an allergen perspective due to his extensive knowledge of the menus available. The service from Grady and his team was the best we've received anywhere, and they genuinely want to ensure you have the best time. Grady personally brought our food and drinks across to us throughout the evening to check that everything was okay, which it was. Overall it's a great place to get food/drinks, and it's made even better by the attentive staff. 5/5.

I was unlucky tonight. The chicken kebab was completely burnt. Not a good experience. Someone forgot to check the barbecue.

Firstly it's not chic! Secondly it's over priced; bottle of beer £5, can of still water £1.75, tiny bowl of coleslaw £4. Saying that the Steak bravette was £12 and worth every penny! Always feels under staffed.

We stumbled across this place just walking along the seafront. Really friendly staff and the service was fab. I had the crispy tofu bao buns and they were fantastic. So many different options to eat, so something for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for my mums birthday. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Had a lovely young chap called George. He made the experience so special and friendly with his natural radiance. Thankyou very much George and the rest of the team :)

The food was ok, but the experience was woeful. If only someone had taken some time to explain how to get the best out of the place, how to place your orders.......or there was some intelligence behind the ordering systems - basically we all ordered from different restaurants and our drinks at the same time but as we now realise, it all came out at different times.....you'd think they bring your drinks out first, but they came out at different times and even after our meals.....how hard is it to bring a coke to the table for kids......it seems it takes 15 minutes prep......the whole place is so disorganised and makes such a crap experience. 🤷‍♂️🤦 It's a great location, staff seemed friendly enough but didn't do anything to explain or help, just said order from the app. It was near impossible to get a simple jug of water. If you all order from the same restaurant, I'm sure it'll be fine but that's not the appeal of the place, but our experience was so poor, I'll not be wasting time and energy going back, plenty of much better places to go in Brighton to eat as a family.

Visited Sunday late afternoon. Sat outside as they had some big areas reserved inside for pre-booked groups. Made a small order of a milkshake (no problems - was nice), kids chicken tenders with chips (good size pieces of chicken and ok chips), cup of tea (no milk provided, told waitress and waited but still nothing so had to go back in and get some myself from the food vendor) and finally some cinnamon bread sticks (didn't arrive with order, waited 10 mins and still nothing, so had to go and find a waitress to chase this up also). No forks on the table, so picked some up when getting my milk!! Rate myself as a 9 for self-service waiter skills. Probably won't go back as if really busy on a sunny day I can't imagine getting any order delivered properly. Shame really as came highly recommended.

One of the most delicious vegetarian pizzas I’ve ever had! Located by the beach and we sat at the balcony so the view was also really nice.

Really noisy but amazing service, waiters served food and drink so quick and the bday box thing was such a good idea. Only downside the table didn’t get cleaned until after we left but with how busy it was this is totally understandable

Fantastic service and great food

Went on a day trip to Brighton and went to Shelter Hall for lunch. What a great place to go. Loads of choice from pizza, burgers, chicken, and much more. I went for a chicken burger and dirty fries from Coqfighter, so delicious! I couldn't stop there, so I also had the goat birria tacos from Crudo Mexican. Wow, so flavourful! The service was excellent, and the choice was plentiful. Would happily go here again.

Have to say the Honey Ginger Buffalo Chicken Burger was absolutely delicious, obviously double up the burger 😋🍔😁

I am quite angry that you have added an extra service charges on the bill. Its not about the extra 85p but the way you go about it!! I will never return!! Avoid

Great food and drink. Loved the atmosphere and the staff are fabulous. We came for a birthday lunch and received a lucky dip for a free item, won a free dessert which was amazing! Great to try lots of new things and have a variety of foods for everyone.
