5⭐️ Experience all round. The Skylark bar was perfectly suited for our family get together. Smart, modern, clean & classy presentation. The staff were truly friendly, we even had them join in, in the celebrations. Helpful & accommodating of all requests bought to them. They found a way to make it happen. The service is incredibly fast & efficient, met with a vast variety of quality food, suited for all our difficult eaters 😏. Thank you Shelter Hall & staff for assisting in the facilitating of the best day & experiences we could of asked for.

The igloo experience was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was tasty but I feel the taco portion was lacking a little for an adult. We had to order extra food as we were still hungry!

Fast service and great food and drink

Can’t fault the food, everything we had was very nice. Just a shame about the service and wait times for the food. There was 7 of us on the table and not one of us where eating at the same time as all food was coming out at very different times. I ordered 3 things from 3 vendors and had to wait around 15 mins for each dish to come out one after the other. Concept of this place is good but just needs better management with the food orders coming out at the same time as everyone else on the table.

Loved this place. The food was delicious - and some really yum vegan options (more are always welcome) - the Greek place could do with some.

Nice festive feel. Igloos with week for a change of scenery. Service variable but usually great.

Nicely decorated, nice staff, quick service. We enjoyed pretty much most of our food besides the chicken tacos that tasted like soap, I’ve still given a 5 stars for the food though as the rest of it was lovely!

I had lunch here twice during a short break in Brighton. I loved the concept of the independent restaurants and bars under the same roof and the ordering process was easy and prompt. The small plates were great value for money and the food was tasty. I loved the cocktails ! The Hall’s position on the sea front makes the whole experience extra special.

Amazing place that took us by surprise! So much so we came back the following day. Easy access that allows dogs, easy ordering at the table with table service. Excellent views of Brighton sea front. Lovely staff very helpful! Thanks for having us!

Overpriced and terrible communication from the venue. I ordered a child's meal for my son from a mexican there and it was very spicy. Mentioned it politely to the staff at the kitchen and they just said ok and walked off

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Brighton. Really lovely. Great atmosphere, setting, food, facilities (we came with two babies). Feels a lot like Seven Dials market in London. Highly recommend!

The servers weren’t very welcoming😔 wanted to ask for water but had to go downstairs just to find someone, perhaps they’re just too busy. Weren’t asked how our food was or anything. My butter chicken seemed to be 2 batches of the curry. One side there were beautifully cooked diced chicken which was delicious but the other side was flakey bits that was heavily salty in contrast the to other side. Usually I leave shelter hall with a thumbs up but on Saturday it was a bit average!

We really enjoyed our evening in the pod. Food and service both great. The host who looked after us was excellent.

Teníamos muchas ganas de ir al Shelter Hall, pero personalmente, me decepcionó. Era un sábado por la noche y muy ruidoso, pero esto es de esperar. No hay mucho que absorber el sonido que puede hacer difícil escuchar la conversación. Estoy libre de gluten y fuimos a cinco de las cocinas antes de encontrar algo que pudiera comer. Incluso entonces, originalmente me rechazaron antes de que alguien mencionara que podía comer una comida sin pan. El curry que tenía estaba absolutamente delicioso. Nuestra reserva fue de 90 minutos y nos recordaron amablemente que nos fuéramos. Estoy seguro de que a mucha gente le encantaría aquí, pero no volvería a ir por la razón anterior.

Lush food. Super, quick service!

Food was fantastic! I would never have thought a simple chicken burger could taste so good and the house fries were the best fries I have ever tasted. All four of us sat there saying "this is so good!" The venue was fairly empty as we were having an early dinner, and the size of the place felt a bit cold atmosphere wise. Will try again at a busier time when more of a buzz!

We had such a great meal here! Everything we had was so delicious, and there was lovely ambiance with all the fairy lights, we will definitely be going back. Oh, and the chips from coqfighter were the best my dad has ever had!

A menudo vamos a la sala de refugio. La comida es generalmente buena, pero por primera vez probamos Saltio. Nunca más. Esperamos 40 minutos para nuestra comida y el personal de Saltio acababa de perder nuestro pedido. Decir que no les importaba una mierda es una exageración masiva. Realmente no estaban interesados en absoluto en el hecho de que estábamos esperando. Pensé que el personal era la persona más ruda e incompetente que he conocido en Brighton. Una total pérdida de tiempo. Afortunadamente el gerente de turno nos reembolsó y nos consiguió una gran comida de Three Little Pigs que recomendaría. Come aquí bajo tu propio riesgo, pero definitivamente evita Saltio.

What a brilliant evening we had! We had dinner in an igloo and it was magical! Lived that we were give a speaker so we could play our own music. The food was exceptional and the service top notch. Great atmosphere, easy ordering and a great way to celebrate a big birthday (loved the birthday lucky dip too!).

Had a blast in the outdoor igloo, food was delivered super quick and was delish. Has a heater and speaker that we could play our own music on. Staff super friendly. Possibly need a separate queue for those who have booked an igloo, but other than that we all had a fab few hours.

Came here for work food and drinks, Morgan made sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much, exemplar customer service definitely will be coming back!

A nice food court with a nice selection of different dishes and drinks. Good food at reasonable prices. Theoretically, everything can be ordered from the table via the app - it didn't work for me, the app has problems (on the iPhone). Better: go for a walk, choose your food and order and pay straight away at the counter. Food court atmosphere, the music was a bit too loud for my taste.

The food was absolutely beautiful and the little igloos were cute as hell. Little lights in the igloos and Bluetooth speakers really hit it off. Inside was well set out very nicely with an already Christmas feel and vibe The food was very nice and all had good flavour and texture. The truffle wasn't too overpowering and the chips were perfectly well cooked. The menu's are a little confusing and a bit silly in all honesty and the whole thing is a little expensive. More like a high end restaraunt prices instead of a "fast food" wagamamas style benches type place that sells burgers, Mexican and pizza. The staff had absolutely no idea what was going on when we arrived. People queueing with people that had booked. We're told multiple times that people would come and speak to us. On top of this the booking said to go to the front when we arrived and were rather abruptly and rudely told to wait at at the back. When they finally stopped talking to each other and got themselves into gear, they were very polite but the whole first experience was absolutely rubbish. Again...... expensive.....

Had a fantastic time, managed to sit in one of the new winter igloos and it was lovely. Staff were 10/10, kind, funny and very polite. Made our evening feel very special and one we won’t forget. Food from rudi’s burgers and beastie boys pizza was delicious and cooked to perfection.

Lots of seating available to sit inside and out. Easy to access the menu online and have everything delivered to your table. We had cocktails and burgers with a side of halloumi chips. Really tasty and would definitely return when I'm in Brighton again. In total it cost £44.

I had the best honey Margherita that I have ever had!!!

Drinks were slow to be delivered and staff were unaware of a drinks promotion advertised on the order app. Spoke to three members of staff and took over an hour for issue to be resolved. Food was good and delivered to the table in good time.

Excelente comida de Rudi’s Burger y Kolkati servicio muy rápido desde la aplicación de mesa pedir los envoltorios de cordero y pollo y la hamburguesa de tocino de trufa

El lugar se ve bien y tiene excelentes vistas. Me decepcionó la limpieza de las mesas y la aspereza general arriba. El servicio era bueno, fácil de pedir, pero la comida era pobre. Teníamos tacos, me han dicho que el pollo estaba bueno pero el hongo era horrible, muy soso y simplemente pobre. Probablemente un lugar razonable si tienes hijos y no te importa el caos, no para mí, sin embargo!

We’ve had lots of great meals at SH, some places can be hit or miss sometimes but overall great vibes & so good in the summer- I’d recommend booking to avoid disappointment, especially on a great weather day!

I’m really felt sad while I’m writing my personal experience for visiting this place couple of times with my wife One of the best spot on the sea front to my heart to sit eat watching the waves and the sun best view However with the worst possible service and the worst argument with non sense answers I get every time I say something I didn’t like So today morning walk with my wife decided to have a brunch and coffee We order 2 coffee and one I wrote in the comment please make it extra hot I can’t drink coffee med or cold And then ordered some starters Coffe came back after 20 min and very cold not even a single smoke came out from the cups “meaning left behind if was made hot from beginning “ And later the starters came Very cold and oily I asked the waiter for a cup of water he told me you can go get it and help your self “while I pay service charge on my receipt “ So I asked the manger to till about my feed back for the coffee and his answer was what is extra hot mean for coffee!! It’s made from hot water ?! “” as you don’t hear or boil the milk first “”or you just heat it for the first customer and keep serving from it till you finish . So I didn’t argue actually I said yes you are alright I just left the place with very sad ending instead of having a nice brunch and coffee enjoy the view for non sense answers

I had a great experience at Shelter Hall! Shay, our host, was super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks were excellent—perfectly mixed and served with a smile. It’s a fantastic spot to enjoy well-crafted cocktails, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended!

Ordered Rudi’s burgers today. Delicious - tasted like how a proper burger should. The tots and corn ribs were great too. Excellent food. It came pretty quickly too.

25 minute wait with only another 3 tables eating and got ‘chips’ so dry they were only good for propping up the the wobbly table. Would come back but definitely not for the Greek bbq.

I booked a private room for my 21st birthday and I was thoroughly impressed! The room itself was super classy and even had the option to set the lighting to how we wanted, change the temperature and even play our own music! The food was as usual amazing and service too!! 10/10

Shelter Hall is amazing, great choice of food & drinks, which changes every so often with different kitchens 😁 It’s so easy to order through your phone, making it perfect to go with a group of friends and the service has always been so quick every time! The Oktoberfest was sooooo brilliant, absolutely loved it! Such a fab atmosphere and the band were amazing at getting everyone up and dancing on the benches! Will definitely go again next year!!

Had a great visit to Shelter Hall. Wonderful service, managed to get a seat on the balcony. Sun was shining and it was a great spot for cocktails. We also had pitta with dips, both were fab. Service from all staff was great. Definitely worth a visit ☺️

We hosted a lunch at Shelter Hall for the day after our wedding - having the whole mezzanine floor for our guests! The team were fantastic and all the food was absolutely brilliant - it was the perfect venue with a great view to recount all the stories from the night before. Highly recommended for a function.
