Innkeeper's Collection Brighton, Patcham in Brighton and Hove

I have some struggles with mobility and a lovely member of staff helped me with taking my bags to my room, which was greatly appreciated. Every member of staff who I interacted with was professional, friendly and polite. I felt very welcomed. The room was clean and had everything I needed for my nights stay. I will definitely be staying again.

Sadly, I used to love this place was left standing at the reception for over 15 minutes waiting to be seated. Once sat down and we ordered our food, the order came out wrong and had to wait for my food. The chips came out uncooked, tbh I gave up on complaining as I didn't want to wait longer as my partner finish her food before I got mine.

On first impression this was a good choice, lovely looking restaurant and check in desk. Located on the outskirts of Brighton, away from the noise of the city but only a 20 minute drive to the seafront. Checked in quickly and told to go through the door to the stairs and my room was on the first floor. As soon as I walked through the door the decor changed, the carpet was dirty, the door handle to my room didn’t work properly. The room itself was a good size but very dated. Again the carpet was dirty, bed very hard and uncomfortable. After putting the wires back in the rear of the tv I eventually got that working. The bathroom which was up quite a high step was clean but freezing- the heated towel rail wasn’t working and could not get any hot water from the tap! Had plenty of clean towels in the bathroom, The walls are extremely thin and could hear my neighbours talking clearly. Found the noise from the restaurant downstairs could be heard. There is no one on reception over night so if you have an issue you have to call a central number. I come to Brighton at least once a month for a few nights and was hoping to make this my new regular place to stay but I’m sorry to say I won’t be back to this hotel.

Clean & well maintained. Good sized room with large comfortable bed plus excellent bathroom. Large car park. Hotel in a good location. Staff warm and friendly.

Exceptional Stay! Miller Carter Innkeeper’s Lodge in Patcham Brighton exceeded all expectations. The room was spotless, stylish, and offered a stunning view—perfect for unwinding. The service was warm and attentive, and the kitchen delivered incredible meals bursting with flavor. Whether it’s the cozy atmosphere or the amazing food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend staying here!

Great location, parking on site, clean and spacious room.

Size of the room was really good. The disabled bathroom was dreadful, the hand rails were all loose from the wall so very unsafe to use. The water from the shower spread across the whole bathroom floor and didn’t drain away quick enough.

I had high hopes for this place based on the photos on the website. Even when you first walk into the restaurant downstairs, the Miller and Carter, it is really well taken care of and classy. But the second you step behind the doors to the rooms upstairs you can tell how rundown it is. Our doorhandle and hinge to our room were broken, as was the safety latch. The carpets were filthy, our bedspread had numerous stains and the paint on the walls and ceiling were peeling. Check-in is at the bar, so be prepared to wait. I will say, the person who checked us and was super kind and courteous. Can’t speak to the checkout experience as there was no one to be found when we left in the morning. The hotel is very conveniently located right off the A23 and has a large parking lot in the back. There are a couple of bus routes nearby for an easy commute into the city (15-20 minutes)

Not bad Just a bit same as everywhere else

Room was basic but ok, heating didn't manage to warm it up although it was on. Bathroom was a bit tired and could do with updating. Information about breakfast was not that helpful as it didn't include prices or times, so we missed it.

All the staff were nice and friendly, the breakfast was excellent a special thank you to Sophie who was the wonderful young lady who served us at breakfast during our stay,Sophie was so friendly and helpful a credit to miller and carter. The rooms were nice and cleaned very well every day,overall a great stay and would highly recommend a stay with Miller and Carter.

Location and Parking fantastic. Restaurant good although the furniture hadnt been cleaned and was dusty. The Breakfast service is unprofessional and breakfast layout lacks imagination.

A thoroughly delightful stay, starting with a very warm welcome which continued throughout our stay. The room was bigger than expected and felt very spacious and comfortable. Extra touches with the stay being for our anniversary just added to the experience. Followed by dinner in the restaurant that evening and drinks before and after just made the stay even better. A delicious breakfast also followed the next morning to finish our stay!

Lovely hotel, lovely location, and lovely lovely staff all were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself and the hotel rooms are cleaned to a very high standard. I stayed here with my friends and family, a large group of 13 of us, taking up 7 rooms. Every room has everything you need and the beds are extremely comfy. Every single one of us had a brilliant night sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was lovely you can adjust the power and the heat very easily. Great choice of drinks and cocktails Breakfast was amazing. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly, eveyone had there steaks and eggs cooked to there desire and they all come out prefect. Extremely tasty 😋. Will be definitely returning soon thank you for a lovely stay.

Absolutely perfect staff are so helpful and the place is so clean 3rd year in a row I've stayed here from going to a festival and the food is top notch 👌 it's a must stay for everyone rooms are so comfortable 😀

I had heard a lot about Miller and Carter so we thought it would be great to see if it lived up to the reputation. Well to start with due to a change in plans we turned up about 45 mins early, we were happy to have a seat in the bar and wait. But the staff managed to juggle their tables and squeezed us in early. We had a great table overlooking the garden area, sadly the weather was wet and raining very heavily. Our waitress "Charlotte" was friendly and very helpful and spent time making sure that our order was correct and that the drinks and starters were with us promptly. The meal itself was amazing, and the steak and lobster was cooked to perfection and the taste was out of this world. And trust me I am not easily please :) At no point did I feel rushed or pressured to eat quickly, and after desert we happily finished our bottle of wine before leaving. And as we were leaving the Charlotte and other staff all took the time to say goodbye, a nice touch and made the end of the meal that little bit extra special. So thank you Charlotte and team!! So in summary. If you want a great meal in a lovely environment then this is for you, but you get what you pay for! I am so looking forward to going back and trying other dishes. But I would say booking is recommended to avoid disappointment if your looking to go!

Excellent ribeye steak, full of flavour, cooked medium rare it has fabulous meat juices. This is a large lump of authentic meat so be prepared for some connective tissue, that is what the steak knife is for. The meat itself is tender and delicious.

Lovely warm homily enviroment, We had such a comfortable sleep.

We booked a disability room. It was clean and the shower was fantastic!! Food is lovely, although breakfast was over priced for standard bacon and eggs. Staff were all friendly and helpful at all times, with nothing being to much trouble.

Would not recommend it. Tired building, mouldy room, leaking bathroom windows, not enough staff, staff did not know how to work the heater in the room, no instructions. Had to dry out my toiletries due to leaking window.

Lovely place, rooms are big, very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It is well positioned for us to visit our relatives in Brighton and the surrounding area and to get easily into the city for sightseeing. Unfortunately the breakfast service was a let down, again the staff were lovely but we waited 40mins for our breakfast which when it came was cold on the first morning. Saturday was slightly better, we still waited but not quite as long and the breakfast was a bit warmer but not hot as it should be This has put me off eating in the restaurant but I would certainly book a room only stay again.

The room was adequate but on the small side, it was a squeeze to get around the bed and very little space for 2 people to get ready at the same time. Used the bar in the evening - the Guiness had ran out and also the draft bitter. We took breakfast but this was chaotic and generally disappointing: no cutlery on tables, too few coffee mugs and juice glasses. For a restaurant the english breakfast was very disappointing: not hot and both fried eggs had broken yokes - surely something that would have taken 2 minutes to re-do. There were 2 of us and our breakfasts arrived at different times. Overall a very disappointing experience.
