The chicken curry with pilau rice was probably the worst I have ever eaten. Rice under cooked, the chicken over cooked and the blandest spicing I have ever experienced. My partner had the same issue s, Roti had a very small amount of dahl in it. I really would not recommend this establishment for a takeaway.

I’ve visited this spot 15+ times in the last 5+ years, but my last experience felt off. It seemed like there’s been a bit of cost-cutting exercise with the meat selection and market table (bulked out by fruit to make it look pretty yet you would never eat). Also, the quality and cooking of the meat just didn’t match what we remember from previous visits. I know the evening cuts have been introduced to the lunchtime menu, so you might think, on the face of it, things have got better - but all we saw was some over cooked cubes of fillet steak and the normal cuts were scraggy and over cooked. We were told the meat was rare to medium - it came out more medium to well done. However, I thing that has stuck in our mind was our server that has made me post this. Our server was a bit too rushed, which detracted from the experience. We were rushed to our table, the new way of doing things on the menu was rushed (our server must have been having a bad day), she spoke at a million miles an hour, and when we asked her to slow down, she speed up again after a couple of sentences. Also assumptions on choices were a little disconcerting. This used to be our 'happy place' in Leeds - and now it's tarnished. However, we are not giving up on you Leeds fazenda, we are still a fan, yet I hope on our next trip, the 5* awesomeness we have come to expect returns. Christopher PS - Everything wasn't all bad, we enjoyed the sausages, chicken thighs and pork, but I really hope they bring back the beef cuts we used to love.

Had a lovely meal out with the family for my sons birthday. Food was delicious and cocktails were amazing. Betta looked after us us and was amazing, so friendly and upbeat. We have visited before and always noticed how hard Betta works, she doesn't stop. Thank you so much

This was supposed to be a family birthday get together, with laughter, taking the mickey, disagreeing just a normal family outgoing. I really don't understand why Turtle Bay is so highly rated, the only reason I can put it down to, is that between certain times cocktails are 2 for 1. But as for the bar service, food service & delivery of the meal, very very poor. To put it context here's a listing below of how they failed from the very moment of entering Turtle Bay. 1. 2 of the family members both 24, don't drink at all, but were nearly refused entry as they didn't have any identification with them, even though it was explained, that we where only here for a meal, but thankfully after discussion. Entry was allowed. 2. The table was sticky, not very well cleaned 3. It took 35 minutes for starters to arrive, considering it was only 2 x garlic breads & halloumi. We did ask how long till we get out starters & after enquiring, we got 13 minutes... That's a random number ha ha 4. Myself, I asked what bottled beers they had, unbelievably only 2 , Turtle Bay Caribbean beer & non-alcoholic, no other brands but what's unbelievable they sold had out of their Turtle Bay Caribbean beer .. No other bottled beers available. Its it like going to KFC & asking for chicken only to be told he sold out, & saying we got corn on the cobs still lol 5. As most people eat at different speeds, and with 6 of us, you will always be waiting for others to finish. But as soon as just one of group had finished, that plate was removed, it was like either they where running out of plates, or our main meals where virtually ready. Once everyone had finished & again plates removed lighting fast, it's like there was a special device attached to the plates alerting the service staff, we all presumed our mains would be brought to our tables much much sooner than our 35 minute starters. Never presume.... 30 minutes we had to wait & this was timed, oh sorry the actually time the mains arrive was 29 mins 33secs... There's another random number for you.... If we keep going we have out lottery numbers 6. Again we needed to ask how long, & again told its on its way 7. The meal itself was okay, definitely had worse, expect their trademark gravy (spicy if you've never had it) seemed to be with every meal. I ordered safe cheesy chips, but obviously that spicy gravy, wanted to have some say in that matter, as shockingly it was there at the bottom of the cheesy chips dish, waving at me. 8. Again, as soon as just 1 of group had finished, the service staff tried to remove that empty plate, but this time, we stopped them telling hellllllo others are still eating. 9. Nowadays when you book a table, restaurants seem to give you allocated times to finish & leave, regardless of how many people might be the group, well considering 65 mins of that was waiting for the meal, says alot. At one point we got so bored waiting in between meals, we decided to do arts & crafts, & with there paper menus that by the way where never moved just left on the table, we made a paper airplane, a paper boat.. A wild theory I have, is that they make you wait so long, you just keep drinking racking up the bar bill, but as everyone in our group was driving, we escape that clause lol. 10. The ladies toilets according to one of our group where disgusting. One of the toilets seat was literally broken & couldn't be used, & others had no toilet paper. While yes at times the place was busy & it can be difficult, but you just would have thought toilets are checked are different intervals. Overall a very poor experience, from the very start to the end. Maybe it was just one of those bad nights where everything seems to go wrong, but once we told another family member whom couldn't attend the meal, that we went to Turtle Bay, straight away they had shook their heads & said oh no, but did say good cocktails are 2 for 1 at certain times lmao
