Fancied Indian rather than hotel food on our way through Hamilton on holiday. This place had parking and space at tables which was good but I am not surprised as they are not very hospitable and changed our order to a rubbish tikka masala when we wanted something more interesting. 1970s style rubbish curry. Waitress was charming, host man, terrible. Definitely will not go back. Most expensive meal out weâve had in a very long time.

We used to come here often it was good And decent portions. This time was terrible - burchetta - bread was soggy and everything was soaked in olive oil. Higgins Bon bons were okay. Steak pie was small had hardly and gravy the meat was tough. chips and veg were both undercooked. - complained and they too it off the bill. The chicken Parma was average , the chips on this also majorly undercooked. They were still like hard potatoes. Hardly any choice on the menu. Wonât be back.

La comida era buena, pero prefiero cuando hay un camarero que viene a servir en lugar de solo en el teléfono porque nunca sé si todo estaba bien con la orden, pero aparte de eso y el precio es bastante alto, era bueno

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel. The Staff were pleasant but there was a shining moment when we did a scotch tasting. Our expert on Scotch was Lorand. He was fabulous! He explained everything about the different Scotchâs we were tasting and a great deal about Scotch in general. It was a wonderful experience. Incidentally he was also our waiter and he excelled at that as well. If you come for food or a drink at the restaurant I would request him. Thanks for a great night Lorand!

Booked a meal and bus to/from Hampden for Pink, everything was brilliant, down to the place was playing Pink through dinner. Meal was good, cocktails were great and reasonably priced and most of all the staff were brilliant. Everything went well with the transport, will use this service again. Thank you!

Came to Edinburgh on a 2-day stint to get a taste of the city. Seen this coffee place as one of the recommended and went in eager to taste. Upon entering, it was an unwelcoming atmosphere. In the brief interaction with one of the guys, he was extremely rude and embarrassed my friend in front of other patrons. We were tourists and visiting a number of places to get a sense of Edinburgh in general, incl. all the different recommended bakeries/coffee shops etc. We were not aware of the 'ONLY SPEND IN OUR SHOP, EAT FROM OUR SHOP' policy they had in place, and so took a snack from a local bakery that we seen recommended. Had we known that he was going to inhospitably call it out infront of everyone and make us feel unwelcome, we would never have went in. From a tourist point, its restrictive and detracts from the overall experience of exploring the area's culinary offerings - maybe the guys should keep this in mind for future given that Edinburgh is a city full of tourists? I should also mention that I initially was going to buy a snack from their cafe, as my friend had their own but I had none, however there was only one non-fresh looking croissant left on display? So we were not even aware they even did snacks. We then sat in uncomfortable silence for the duration, quickly drank the coffee, waited to pay (at least 7minutes) a hefty sum for a tiny coffee. Definitely dont recommend for tourists and will not be back

Disclaimer: This review is going to be different! Christmas of 1991, my family spent the holidays in Scotland. On Christmas Eve, everything in Edinburgh was closed. We walked the streets looking for dinner. Topkapi doors were unlocked, so we walked in. The gentleman greeted us and apologized that they were closed. Then told us to wait and have a seat. A little while passed and he started bringing bowls of beef, chicken and lamb. I canât remember what sides he brought because the meat was exquisite, some of the best Iâve ever had. I canât recall all of the laughter and sharing with the gentleman, or his name. But, when everyone had their fill and thankful that he took care of us on Christmas Eve, he refused to let us pay for any of it. Recently, while sitting with my mother while my father is in ICU at the hospital, we reminisced about those travels and the memory created by that gentleman at Topkapi in Edinburgh. If their food is still half as incredible now as it was then, you must visit them! I will take my children one day.

What a place to go, best pub in paisley, from great food to nice cold pint specially in this weather, we really enjoyed our day here and we're allowed out in a wee sun trap out front, nice and clean and staff were on the ball even in this heat, hats off to them cause it's not nice to work in this heat. Thanks again we will be back !

Nice place with good views but expensive. Edit: Now we visited this place many times so I can write review in detail. This place is lil expensive compared to other bar but what I like most is, there is no noise, you can enjoy your time with colleagues talking while having drinks. You don't need to shout to talk. A peaceful place with a very good view that too next to Glasgow central station.
