Great store. Restaurant food is good. Love the layout of the rooms, great for ideas. My son has kitted out his flat with IKEA furniture and looks amazing. Only one downside is the instructions are hard to follow but got there in the end.

I recently visited the IKEA store in Glasgow, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is convenient, and the parking lot is massive, with plenty of spaces for everyone, including designated spots for disabled customers close to the entrance—very thoughtful and practical. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions with a smile. The store itself offers a huge variety of products, from furniture to home accessories, making it easy to find exactly what you need. Don’t forget to check out the IKEA restaurant—the food is delicious and reasonably priced, especially if you have the IKEA Family card. Plus, the option for home delivery (for a small fee) is a lifesaver for larger purchases. Overall, I’m super satisfied with my visit and highly recommend this IKEA store to anyone in the Glasgow area. It’s a one-stop shop for all your home needs! 😊

Very good food at very reasonable prices.. deserving of 5 star if i was not a celiac. But very sorry that they do not provide allergen info about the dishes served in the Cafe. They seem to be such an efficient and thoughtful chain- then why be callous towards people with allergies ? No food for celiacs ! Since you have to pick up the food before reaching the till - how does a celiac figure out what to pick up when ingredients are not labeled - you can't run back and forth to the counter staff (who are extremely busy) while half a km queue in behind you :(

Used to love Ikea but their service has significantly gotten worse in the last few years. Every time I visit there’s only two tills open resulting in massive queues. Same as the cafe. One side open. Stood waiting over 20 mins to get served at dinner time on a Friday. Put on more staff during busy times. The girl threw the meatballs and water on the plate making the chips soaking wet. Clearly the staff don’t care. Often stood in groups giggling. We won’t be back.

What a palaver.... choosing a wardrobe and divan bed to be delivered !!! As we're pensioners thought it would be simple..... we had items in a trolley tealights etc then chose what we wanted. Then we were given 2 invoices and had to go to area and get all components for bed (5 boxes, luckily a member of staff helped as my husband had a kidney transplant 5 years ago) then we had to go through checkout and pay THEN we had to go somewhere else a fair walk away and get invoices processed for delivery !!!! When wardrobe was delivered there was a hole in the door and my son in law had to take my husband back to Glasgow and return and get replacement door !!! Meanwhile we got a call a few days later to say a replacement door was being delivered following Wednesday!!!!! NEVER AGAIN ......

One of the biggest IKEA's I've ever been to, the cafe was huge and although very busy we managed to get our food fairly quickly and there was plenty of seating. We also found what we wanted and staff very helpful. This is us after a successful Billy bookcase build!

The IKea experience is similar all the world over (just moved from Canada), and consistency in this case is welcomed. The location is well run with helpful staff. 2 opportunities for improvement: 1. I drove 2.5 hours to purchase a desk. I selected the first one I saw on display (Alex in Moss Green). After 2 hours of meandering through the displays and, as you do, purchasing several items, I went to the warehouse area to collect the desk. It was out of stock with no known order date. I asked several attendants for help, only to be told to look the item up online myself. The desk had been sold out for some time at all locations and online, yet was the first item on display for all to see. Display inventory management is a basic service task. 2. The fish and chips tasted like pre-packaged cardboard. Not up to Ikea's usual delicious food standard. Both my friend and I thought it was the worst meal we had ever tasted. Charge a bit more, ensure freshness.

Booked a home delivery and then got covid so rescheduled for next week with confirmation. I am seriously ill and supposed to be on bedrest and instead I am woken up today by dpd dumping half my purchases in front of my door blocking my way out if I need an ambulance. Customer service is non existent and the facebook page was incredibly rude. I hope they don't intend to bring the rest as I literally can barely stand and can't open the front door.

Recently moved back to Scotland from Canada. Have purchased more than 30 items in Canada over the years, now started again here in Scotland. The experience in Scotland has been wonderful so far. ikea cafeteria 2 years ago: the groovy chocolate cake was on promotion, so I ordered one. so bad I couldn't taste any chocolate at all. end up I didn't even bother to finish it. the meatball were always overcooked to very dry, I think ikea can really improve the food quality instead of just adding new items on the menu. But their "main course" furniture are always OK, just some of the staff has no clue of the features of the product and just read the leaflet after I told them the leaflet/ packaging doesn't indicate the missing info. 2 years later: the delicious festive meatball meal scores 4 stars miss the meatball festive menu and went again. portion is smaller, a bit disappointed this week Try the meatball festive meal again, good news the sumptuous version is back yummy

Visited yesterday for 1st time in years and won't be rushing back !! Picked up soft toy amongst other things got to check-out 6 staff standing chatting/laughing together only 1 actually looking at customers, she came over when toy wouldn't scan and said just go and pick another 🤣 my partner replied "no you go and pick another I'm shopping your staff so plz do your job", after that not another word of communication or smile. On leaving store all the trolley people grouped together in corner of car park have a laugh as well when customers driving round in circles looking for spaces. I'm not a killjoy and all for people being happy and enjoying work but place was chaos, surely staff could be doing something to ease that and cheer up the faces of all the "looking harassed" customers 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ordered a wardrobe only to receive wardrobe doors and inside wardrobe but no wardrobe frame what a joke them I had to call them and they said the frame went out a stock so they only sent me the insides and doors they then arranged a day for delivery for the frame 3 days later and was meant to be delivered on the 1 December only for it not to come again with no one even going to call me and say that they weren’t coming not apparently coming intill tomorrow honestly what a joke now have clothes all over the place and the in sides of the wardrobe all over the place with a 1 year old nearly getting crushed with the freaking box’s as I have no space to put the stuff really bad Communication don’t recommend getting anything delivered from here unless you want half of your order if your buying from here go the the store and make sure you can take home with you

Before you buy from Ikea, you might want to read this. A month ago I bought my kitchen from Ikea (if only I had known what to expect). The designer told me that sometimes some items could be out of stock, in which case the replenishment time could take 5 to 10 days maximum. Still, since I have hired my own joiner to assemble the kitchen, I wanted to make sure that all the items were in stock before paying for it. Everything was fine, so I proceeded to buy it. First of all, the kitchen arrived in 5 deliveries like a teleshopping fascicle. Of course, at no point were we warned about this. One of the deliveries never arrived, so my partner and I had to call both Ikea and the delivery company to find out what was happening. I have to say that, on both sides, I have never experienced such an obvious "I don't give a shit" as this. Finally, after many calls and waits, we were able to solve this. A few days later, our joiner starts assembling I went to the kitchen and found that there were indeed some kitchen parts missing (doors, drawers, etc.). I went to Ikea in Braehead, where I bought the kitchen, to claim these parts. First of all, I was assisted by an elderly woman, whose name I can't remember. She treated us with disinterest, in a very inappropriate tone, and again with a big "I don't give a shit" in front of her. I was a few seconds away from losing my temper, luckily another girl came as the woman finished her shift. We waited for about an hour. The girl tells us that the items that have not been sent Oh surprise! They are not in stock, not only that. But also, in the best case, they will be available again within 1 month. I tell the girl that I understand that this is not her fault, but that it is unacceptable, since I specifically asked why all the items were in stock, since I did not want to find myself in this situation. At least in this case the subliminal "I don't give a shit" was replaced by "I can't do anything." After an hour and a half there, the girl tells us that she can't do anything, that we have to call the call center. We see that there is still an hour and a quarter until the call center closes. So we call, the automatic message tells us that the waiting time is 50 minutes. Even so, we wait, and no one ever answers. Again, I try to contact them today. Estimated time 20 minutes, at the time I'm writing this I've been there for 1h 30 minutes. (Thursday afternoon) I was aware that the furniture is of dubious quality compared to other brands, what I didn't know was that the post-sales service was of such low quality. Disappointing, very disappointing. Therefore, dear friend, if you are going to buy something from this place, you might want to think twice if a couple of hundreds less worth this nightmare..

I was recently searching for an item in the Self service department of IKEA Glasgow , and asked a worker who's name was Brian for some help at the information desk. He was very dismissive and motioned for another worker, who seemed busy, to help me as he "couldn't work the computer " and just walked off. Is this really the standards for such a big company like IKEA? Staff who do not understand the basic technology provided for them to help customers. Disappointing and frankly embarrassing interaction from a staff member. I was left standing there waiting until the other worker finished with their customer. I am a regular customer at IKEA, Braehead and expect better service.

There is also a wide variety of decor options along with just about everything you could need for the home, and all at very attractive prices. Been to few different Ikeas in different countries. Compared to all that Ikea Glasgow is smaller. They still have decent selection of everything. At the cafe, we usually get their veggie breakfast, it’s always a hit and miss. Some days are really good but we have also got burned sausages and soggy eggs. Meatballs have always been good.

Dim Light on IKEA's Smart Home Expertise... I recently visited the IKEA store in Glasgow. When I approached the lighting section, I inquired with a staff member about the compatibility of a specific bulb with my existing setup. I was assured that I did not need a separate hub for it to function. However, upon returning home and attempting to set up the bulb, I discovered that a hub was indeed necessary. This was a significant inconvenience and a clear indication that the staff member's knowledge of smart home products was lacking. While it's understandable that not everyone is an expert, a basic understanding of product compatibility is essential for providing accurate guidance to customers. It's disappointing that such a simple query resulted in incorrect information. It would be beneficial for IKEA to invest in more comprehensive training for their staff, particularly in areas like smart home technology, to ensure that customers receive accurate and helpful assistance. Not to mention that if I knew I needed a hub, I would have bought one when I was there... The restaurant is shocking, if you've ever seen a mess.. It was disgusting, such as the food. The disappointments never stopped even after getting home. 3 out of the 3 wireless chargers we bought was not working properly. We tried them with 3 different phones and usb-c cables, but none of them charged continuously for more then a few seconds, then kept jumping in and out of charge.

I was a bit disappointed in Ikea Glasgow when trying to spend literally thousands of £s with them on a large new kitchen. The initial visit to the store was fine, followed by us arranging to pay them to measure up our space for the new kitchen, and then a visit to the store to finalise what we wanted. On top of this we paid for their fitter to visit and make sure he was able to fit the kitchen and highlight any bits needing done for the installation - all still good. The problem then came as they had not informed us at any time during this the worktops we wanted were out of stock! Instead, we got a short email basically saying "the worktops are out of stock pick another." This was a bit rude considering the money we were spending and the blunt email. I tried to get them to expand or offer alternatives, but it was like getting blood form a stone, whoever was sending the emails just didn't care - so we got another basic "pick another one" reply. So being a bit disgruntled, but having already invested in the planning both in time and money, we chose an alternative worktop - yet another email - "that's out of stock also". At no point did we get an apology, or even someone picking up the phone to save a £10k+ order, no, it was only when I replied telling them the service was terrible and I was going else where I got any kind of real world response - which was more to do with the guy loosing the order I'll bet rather than him trying to keep it. So they lost a £10k order and a customer, the whole experience was spoiled by a poor associate who just could not be bothered and done the bare minimum to keep his job, but not our custom - avoid!

Extremely poor service and incompetence from the kitchen installers to their customer service. Do not buy kitchens at Ikea. We have been trying to coordinate with them since July, we keep getting messages that we will have our installation date in 7 days and 3 months later we still don’t have a date. To add insult to injury, their customer service agent hung up on me yesterday, I guess he got bored of listening to my issue. Order cancellation and refund. Getting a new kitchen shouldn’t give you ulcers. Despicable

There’s something nice about how small this restaurant is as it feels intimate & cosy! The food was fantastic even though it took a little longer than usual to come out. The staff offered us a small glass of Baileys to compensate. Thank you! 🤩

Not impressed with our experience today. If the table is only available for 2 hours then the customer should be informed when taking the booking. But the main problem is poor service! If you want to have the table back in 2hours then service and organisation has to improve. Delays in taking orders, serving courses slowly, taking too long to serve drinks is not the fault of the customer. We were forced into leaving behind drinks that we had paid for. We were rushed out by staff, pity we they hadn't rushed to serve us at the start. Very disappointed and won't return. There are much warmer, more welcoming restaurants with efficient service to eat in.
