Juniper Bar Restaurant in Renfrewshire

Not impressed with our experience today. If the table is only available for 2 hours then the customer should be informed when taking the booking. But the main problem is poor service! If you want to have the table back in 2hours then service and organisation has to improve. Delays in taking orders, serving courses slowly, taking too long to serve drinks is not the fault of the customer. We were forced into leaving behind drinks that we had paid for. We were rushed out by staff, pity we they hadn't rushed to serve us at the start. Very disappointed and won't return. There are much warmer, more welcoming restaurants with efficient service to eat in.

Booked this due to good reviews for a friend's lunch. We arrived and it was freezing inside. It took ages to get a drink, then another 20 mins before they took our food order. The staff were unfriendly and uninterested, the atmosphere was rubbish and it wasn't very busy for a Saturday late afternoon so they weren't rushed off there feet. The food was good though not spectacular. I had to ask them to clear our plates. Asked for the bill and eventually went up to the bar to pay. We won't be back and I wouldn't recommend it unless of course you like hanging about in a cold space twiddling your thumbs and you're not overly thirsty or hungry!!!

Great restaurant tucked away under the train station. Christmas menu was 2 courses for £16.99, had pepper chicken which was delicious and the vegetable were cooked to perfection! Dessert was a chocolate orange brownie🥰🥰 also amazing! Had a few strawberry daiquiris which were made by a very knowledgable guy behind the bar! Great place and I shall be recommending to friends for the future.

Stop over before flying out on holiday. Right next to paisley train station. Absolutely delicious food and friendly staff. Definitely be back here

Great service, friendly staff, good food and reasonably priced. If I was being picky the restaurant was a bit on the cool side at 16.00 hrs in the afternoon but I’m sure it warms up as the evening progresses and there are more bodies, etc

This place is a fabulous wee gem. Service was great nice atmosphere. The food was lush !!! Got our table enjoyed a cocktail and a nice gin. Been a while since we visited and again it was very good. There were clean plates all round and I can recommend the baked cheesecake. Apart from a bit of a wait to get a drink the staff were good. Can recommend the place and will be back soon.

Food and Service Amazing, went on Sunday with my friend. Booked a table via their website, put in your details and they text you to book you in. We both had starters, i had haggis Bon bons and my friend has mozzarella sticks and both really tasty. For main we had Cajun chicken pasta and i had steak pie with mash, with veg and the veg was sooooo tasty, so much so that i asked for an extra side portion of vegetables. Presentation lovely and so so tasty. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back soon.

We had a fantastic meal for 16. The staff (particularly a waitress and bar staff who served us) we really helpful and friendly. Good was great and it was a lovely restaurant. Everyone in our group thought it was great and we hope to be back again next year

Great food and even better service. We had 6 tapas dishes and each one was delicious. The waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We sampled a few gins and 1 cocktail each. The food & drinks were beautifully presented.

Me and 3 friends Visited last month and had a really fantastic night. Every dish that was served was hot and delicious, the cocktails were also very nice. Our plan had been to eat here then move to a pub near by however the atmosphere, back ground music and attentive staff made us think again. Must add the girl who served us was very nice and efficient, pretty with very long hair (you know who you are😉 and to mention the barman who was good at knocking out the mojito’s we ordered a few times. Def recommend the tapas, gorgeous.

Soooo, am up for supporting local businesses, but after today I might change my mind, we were in Juniper Gin bar restaurant in Sneddon St, 4.30pm, had starters and mains, 4 Bottles of wine between 3 of us, equivalent to 1 bottle and a glass each, we asked for another and were told we had enough and the policy was we could not have any other drinks........where does that say that anywhere on the door, menu or anywhere else........does any one else think that that is too much ????, I will definitely not be back, just saying, we were the only ones in. Totally disappointed and any review sites will be well aware of our experience ,not good Juniper.k.x

Food was really good and there's a good selection on the menu. Could have more veggie / vegan options but no worse than average. Good drink selection and staff were able to suggest mixers for different gins. Really great service and staff were really nice. Will go back.
