The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in East of England

I'd love to be able to review the food but, this is the mail I have had to send today: I am gravely disappointed and very, very upset by your total lack of customer care: I had a reservation in your restaurant on 24th December, for 3 people. I have a written confirmation (made many weeks ago). This event was 'Christmas' with my daughter and husband as we are apart for the rest of the holidays. I had an alternative booked but my daughter asked if we could come to you: I booked THEN cancelled my other reservation. Yesterday, just 1 week before Christmas, a 'chirpy' but utterly uncaring and dismissive person called to say, 'the manager has said we are only doing Christmas lunch for residents so we need to cancel your reservation. Sorry about that. He said you can have an afternoon tea reservation and use of the Spa if you like. Protest was met with the same chirpy dismissal, followed by an email that did not apologise (no apology received, AT ALL) that confirmed the cancellation, seeming to imply that I had cancelled it. This is appalling customer service: period! People have told me you are a great venue... really??? Maybe in terms of food but certainly not, if this is an example of normal practice, in terms of customer care. Why would I want afternoon tea when I had booked a Christmas lunch? (Not a FREE afternoon tea at a time of my choice even but a 'reservation'!) Why would I want to use your SPA on Christmas eve, with my son in law (???) and when I have Banatynes membership? You have WRECKED my Christmas and simply don't care? I really would like a written apology and explanation please.

Good location. Room very cold. We had to leave after an hour to get to A&E. Despite promising to call us to find out how their guests were we heard nothing back the duty manager. other than just charge us. Not quite what I call customer service. Such a pity!

We went to Aksular with friends on a Thursday night before Christmas. The helpings were massive, we took home doggy bags! The food was tasty and service was good. Price was reasonable as well. Would recommend.

Life changing pizza. We felt welcome

Room looks magnificent, bed comfortable. But there's no water in the bathroom, hot or cold, there's no answer on the telephone when you call to ask them to sort it out, and there's no response to email. So disappointed that I can hardly begin to put it into words. No idea where I can go for a shower before attending a funeral this afternoon.

No where to sit good if you're a teenager though.

A perfect place for lunch when having the Day Spa - food is always excellent as is the service and the staff - always on hand

what got delivered was great the fact that there was items missing is a joke it's not brain surgery to follow an order

Had a lovely experience. Food was superb. Service was amazing! Sam and Fatima really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. would really recommend and defo going to be going a lot more! thank you Sam and Fatima for making our experience so much better.

Excellent service and great food. Server went out of her way to accommodate as it was the Christmas menu & we only wanted something light. Had a couple of starters and they were delicious.

Lovely little cafe, welcoming staff, warm and cosy on a wet day. Only had a coffee so can't comment on the food. Dog friendly and she even got a treat.

Great meal out with friends, plenty to eat, rather noisy music though. Service was great .

We celebrated my fiancés 30th Birthday at Las Tapas last night and we had an amazing evening! It was a surprise meal and Emre and his team were fantastic at making sure everything and everyone was taken care of! The food was AMAZING and all 30 of us left so full up, sangria went down a treat too. I have been for dinner just the two of us which was lovely but also great for large groups too! Would 110% recommend 🍷🌶️
