Tasty and fresh lunch. Excellent lamb chops and starters. Generous portions. We asked for a 'doggy' box. Will be back again soon.

Just had a fantastic meal at Isot. Super friendly staff, big portions for kids and adults and very reasonable. Topped off with a complimentary coffee and hot choc for the kids, it’s got the lot. Delighted to support this local business.

Our first time back to Isot since before lockdown. Vastly improved . My starter portion was huge and delicious. Falafel and humus. Avocado salad starter was huge portion too. Excellent friendly service and complimentary cuppa at end. We will return.

Nice honest freshly-grilled food. It would have been a nicer experience if the person serving didn't spend so long trelling us how unhealthy the food was that we ordered and subsequently eating. If it is so unhealthy don't put it on the menu.

We had booked this lovely restaurant last Friday for a girls lunch after our countryside walk. Received a warm welcome. Menu has a huge choice. Service was attentive, food was excellent. We all enjoyed it.

Special occasion, had friends over from Australia. The food was amazing. Staff were so friendly, we didn't feel rushed they were very accommodating. We will definitely recommend and will be back soon. Thank you

Much enjoyed our early pre-event supper. The lambs liver and the tabbouleh starters were good, though the latter could be enhanced by a zingy dressing on the side. The meaty main courses were excellent

We love the Mediterranean Lamb and the cold meze starter and Kisir are all delicious. They also do takeaway, which deliver and arrives quickly. The rice is really nice and not greasy at all. Really nice quality food.

Just had an excellent meal with my wife and granddaughter. I had a chicken caseoley, whic was delicious. My wife had Chicken Shish, and my granddaughter had calamari. All dishes are served with vegetables etc.

We’ve been getting takeaways from here regularly during lockdown and the food is lovely, very tasty. The rice they provide with some of the main courses is delicious.

Rude Staff, Cold Food and overall terrible experience. Waited 2.5hours for the food, turned up cold. Very disappointed. avoid at all costs. The staff need training on how to communicate to customers.

What a rude and terrible experiences. After ordering a delivery, over an hour later, I call to ask if the food is on the way. A very rude women just a says I’m too busy and call back in 5 minutes. I call back and a man answers the phone and asks me to hold while he checks where my order is, I was left holding on the phone for 17 minutes! In the end I gave up holding and had to drive down to the restaurant. Over 90 minutes later I was finally given my food!! What a bad experience!

I’ve reviewed the ISOT before and have them five stars but felt I had to write another after going there on Saturday to be greeted by the most miserable waiter I have ever come across.We ordered three starters 1x humous 1x taramasalata and something else then we were given 1x little basket of bread between 4 of us when I asked him for more bread he said you get one basket per table I pointed out you get bread with each starter (over 5 quid for a saucer of humous I should think your entitled to bread with each starter) we eventually got more bread.Every time he came to our table he would collect plates or glasses by just reaching across the table not speaking or saying “excuse me” or “are you finished” so rude I’ve never experienced this at the isot before and I’ve been here a few times and was introducing my friend to the restaurant for the first time fortunately the food impressed him but he did pass comment about this waiter who did not crack a smile all night I will be returning because the food is so good although not cheap for what is but I hope this guy (who is not a waiter with his waistcoat jeans and trainers) is not working there anymore.

My friend and I shared a hot vegetarian meze. It had 3 elements to it, plus dips, pitta and a bit of salad. The best bit was the courgette cakes. By the end we were very full and didn’t have room to finish our main courses. I agree with previous comments about the prices being on the high side. Overall it was OK but Ive had much nicer Turkish meals than this.

We tried Isot for the first time for lunch and it was a success. Lovely restaurant, helpful staff, very good food and reasonably priced. It was a bit quiet but it was late lunchtime. The food is very well cooked, good flavour, tender meat. I would recommend. The mixed kebab is very good tender meal with loads of salad and rice. Very nice

Small portion of Moussaka served lukewarm on a stone cold plate sprinkled with dill. It was obviously microwaved and inside were remnants of hard-baked meat and potatoes from its previous baking in an oven, all covered over with a thick tomato sauce. Not a great culinary experience, in fact positively the worst of several visits over the last few years!

We have always enjoyed the food here however the service is not great. They throw the food at you and top up your wine constantly which is annoying. We told them to back off but this didn’t seem to work.

I have visited this restaurant before for lunch and enjoyed the food and the local wine. However, 4 of us ate at the restaurant for dinner recently and I was really surprised at how high the prices were for simple Turkish food! Starters seemed to be smaller than lunch for some reason, but mains were ok. One of our group had the Kleftico and the lamb was sitting on a pile of sloppy mash and covered in a tomato sauce - it was average at best. I had garlic prawns which were very overcooked and chewy - not great. We all drank the house wine with the meal and had a bit of a shock at how high the bill was at the end of the evening! There are much better places for dinner at the price we paid. If you go here, go for lunch - give dinner a miss!

Thought we would try somewhere new , another reasonably local restaurant.Parking was easy in Radlett, Turkish food, pleasant welcome as table was booked earlier in the week.Prompt service drinks and menu, good range of food on the menu.Food served promptly plentiful and tasty,little noisy but good signs as place was busy but could hear ourselves chat.Would come again, also noticed opposite Radlett Theatre so local before a meal and not too expensive

It has been a year since we last visited Radlett & the Isot Restaurant. The food continues to be of a high quality and the portions large. The service is warm and friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. The Turkish wine we tried was also good and at circa £22 for a bottle not too expensive. Overall, another enjoyable meal, will call in again when we are next in the area.

Bit of a mixed review for our mixed shish dishes... Friendly staff, clean restaurant and the food was OK but nothing outstanding. Very pricey in comparison to other Mangal-type restaurants and not reflected in the taste or portion sizes. Probably wouldn't go back.

Second visit here and was not disappointed! Fabulous homemade food, lovely atmosphere and attentive, helpful waiting staff. Decor is lovely - simple but still have the Turkish vibe with stunning coloured glass lights. Started for the 3 of us included stuffed vine leaves with yogurt and salad and fabulous meatballs - so flavourful! Don't forget to ask for the homemade Turkish chill sauce - it's delicious! For mains 2 had chicken shish with rice and a lovely salad (delish!), and I had chargrilled sea bass - 2 fillets - with salad and fries. The fish was amazing- couldn't believe the price at lunch (under £9!). Two of us had Turkish wine which was very good (and very reasonable) and a Efes beer for my hubby. Fabulous lunch - amazing food, delicious wine and incredible value for money. Oh and one last thing- the toilets were absolutely spotless! We will definately be back - and thank you to everyone who looked after us so well!

We had well cooked food at a reasonable price. Excellent chocolate ice cream for dessert. One "complaint": very poor range of zero sugar drinks.

Popped into Radlett this week (5th March), had a quick pint in the Cat and Fiddle (more of that later) and then we thought we'd try Isot for a meal, and what a lovely meal it was. My wife had the grilled salmon, perfect, I had the grilled shish chicken, again perfect. With some great Turkish beer, a lovely glass of house red and just really nice people looking after us, it was a thoroughly enjoyable 2 hours.

Lack of restaurants in the area ‘this is one of the few open at 6pm if you are going to the theatre opposite

I recently visited Isot for the first time, the food and service was amazing! Across the table we tried a variety of dishes from chicken and lamb shish, chicken kulbasti and Mediterranean lamb.

Fantastic food. Their menu is rich with variety if you comparing with other Turkish/ Mediterranean restaurant. We first time I tried Mediterranean lamb and Chicken Kulbasti. They were delicious. staff are very friendly. they are trying to everything to make you feel comfortable and enjoy the meal.

1st time here on the recommendation of a mate, one of the best Turkish/ Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. Knocks the socks off Green Lanes. The family that run this place are so nice and friendly, it's so welcoming. Probabaly the best Lamb Shish I've had. This place also makes it's own Chilli Sauce which is not always the case these days. The menu looked extensive I'll be back to try more.

Predominantly Turkish menu with Italian and other dishes thrown in. Good quality and nice and friendly service.

We went out for an impromptu lunch. When we arrived, they were not busy and we were the first customers (although it was quite early, and a portion of the restaurant was reserved for a large party that arrived later). I don't know why there aren't people queuing outside the door, as the food was really fantastic.

A little lacking in atmosphere and I did have a hair in my food ( can happen almost anywhere I guess) but the food is very good - certainly better than Sauté in St Albans which is almost double the prices. The food is reliable chargrilled food - mixed grills, Kofta, haloumi. Nice and comfortable.

Love this restaurant. The food is fantastic, delicious with huge portions. In particular the aubergine with minced beef is amazing. The variety on the menu is great and the service is also very good.

We have ordered a wide range of food from this restaurant and have always found it excellent. The mixed grill is a highlight as are the feta parcels.

We arrived and it was very hot the windows were closed we had a mixture of starters the calamari was a bit over cooked the humus was nice the lamb balls came flat and not enough herbs the salad was nice and fresh the service was a little confusing but that was due to understanding but very friendly

My partner booked to go here for my birthday, in the midst of this 6 week heatwave we've been having. We had never eaten there before, but wanted to give it a try. I was concerned given the temperatures in the 30s, that they had no outside tables and was worried it would be too hot, so when my partner booked he asked if they had air-con, which they said they did. When we arrived for an early meal, all the windows were open at the front and the awning was broken so they were unable to wind it down to create shade. As such, we asked to be seated further into the restaurant. They did eventually shut the windows and put the air-con on, but with the front door still open it was totally ineffective.

Just had a lovely early dinner at Isot. The vegetarian moussaka was tasty. Chicken shish perfectly cooked. Chef’s special shared between 2 was plentiful. Service fast and friendly. Definitely going back!

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Restaurant nicely fitted out and presented. The food was really nice and the portions were very generous. Would recommend and would happily return myself.

Isot is a fantastic family-run restaurant with sumptuous fresh mediterranean meze and Turkish cuisine.

We visit friends in Radlett from time to time and almost always eat at Isot. We visited for our sixth time in 4 years this last weekend and again enjoyed excellent food and service. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was still good and we didn't feel we were rushed or the opposite waited for long periods. Overall an excellent casual dining experience, we would highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lunchtime visit to Isot. Starting from the excellent host through to the generous delicious food, I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

We went there not knowing anything about the place at all apart from it being Turkish n we were greeted by a lovely waiter, a very interesting menu lots of different foods. Both our choices were cooked to perfection, and so flavoursome, we had a lovely evening, staff were great and very attentive. Go and try something from the menu and have a really nice time

Called in on the off chance on the way to the Radlett Centre. We were made very welcome. The food was very good, the cold mezze starter plate was very generous and tasty. I had the fish kebab and my husband the chicken. Both were well cooked and presented. Will definitely be back.

Bland and uninspiring food. Quite expensive for what you get. Mediocre service. Not recommended. You get much better food at the Turkish restaurant in Borehamwood for a lower price.

I dined at this restaurant with some members of my family, some of whom had dined there before and recommended we go. I ordered Swordfish with Mediterranean vegetables, and the whole dish was completely lacklustre, one of my sons ordered a lamb dish, and my other son ordered a Chicken Wings dish. None of us were very impressed with, either the presentation or flavour of these dishes. In fact one of my sons who has dined at another Turkish restaurant near Watford, commented that the food here, at this restaurant was nowhere near as good, and it was more expensive.

I haven't been to Isot for a few years; friends told me it had improved so I thought I should give it another go. The answer is "not really". Starters were OK, quality of mains wasn't great, with the fish overcooked & dry, although they do pile your plate high with potatoes & vegetables. Not much choice of wine; Turkish wine as OK but not great. Service was good but restaurant was pretty quiet.

Third time we have visited this restaurant and once again they did not let us down. Took our daughter and son in law, the food was exceptional service not in your face but attentive. Will we go back? Oh yes.

The Jewel in Radlett. This humble restaurant has excellent food and service. I will be happy to return and try many more dishes on the menu.

Just got back home after very enjoyable evening with my dad, jacky and my husband. Food was lovely and very tasty we all had different starters and they were delicious, very well presented. Again with mains we all had different ones and again they were very delicious and just the right amount of food on your plate. presentation was excellent. Service was good, staff were pleasant and very well dressed. Price was reasonable. Definitely would come back again.

I went to Isot worth my Fiancée on Sunday, we popped in with no reservation wasn't a problem. Service was very friendly nice family run business the owner was lovely. Food was great, meat was excellent, fish was lovely. Wine was very nice, not over priced and plentiful pouring. Great little gem in Radlett, def go back!

We use this place reasonably often, and the ownership has recently changed. The food remains first class, and the price economical. Service has improved dramatically wth more front of house staff evident!

Visited here tonight looking for a meat platter, had the dish which was supposed to serve 2-3 people (£29.99). Incorrect description on the menu meant the dish we received was nothing like we expected with a small amount of meat, mediocre quality and all tasted the same - would not recommend. This place used to be really good but has gone down hill. When we mentioned this to our waiter at the end of the meal he didn't even answer us - just stared at us, didn't say a word. Poor quality of food, poor value and poor staff. Left hungry!

Great Turkish restaurant, busy, lively, excellent food. We didn't book and there were 5 of us but they managed to fit us in, it is not the biggest of restaurants so might be good to reserve, but even though there were busy great service and staff friendly, food superb.

Tuvimos una excelente cena mediterránea en Isot. Mi pollo shish era sabrosa y acompañados de arroz y verduras bien condimentadas. Los colegas de mi mesa tenía la de pollo y berenjena platos y fue igualmente satisfactorio. Muy buen pan plano casero turco también está en oferta. i went there with my partner on a saturday lunchtime .we were shown 2 seats in the middle of the restaraunt.i told the waiter there was no one in the seats at the front of the restaraunt.he said that was for 4 people.i brought to his attention so was this table .but he seemed that he wanted it for 4 people .just in case someone came in.on theplus side the food was lovely very fresh.and of good quality

To celebrate the good reports and end of exams of my two boys we found this little gem of a Turkish Restaurant! Very relaxed cafe near Radlet Station. The decor was very Turkish and it really made you feel as though you visiting the country.Staff made you feel at home.The Tzatziki was the best I have tried outside the Med, along with Turkish meatballs.Menus were more than enough with out the starters, Lamb Shish Lamb Chops and Seafood Shish.A new favourite restaurant!

Wowsers. This place is very unassuming from the outside, but inside it's much smarter. I loved the Turkish lanterns! The foods was just incredible... Feta triangles, and courgette cakes to start - the latter were incredible. Yummy complimentary flatbread too. Then lamb shish, and moussaka for mains. The sauce on the latter made the dish delicious and complete, but the real star was the lamb shish, which was truly scrumptious. REAL FOOD! Even the plain rice sides dish had us drooling - I don't know what they do to it, but YUM! Waiters were quite hands-off, to be honest almost surly, but not unpleasant, and to be honest the food was so good we didn't care! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We visit the area quite regularly & are so pleased with every meal we have had here.The latest visits = last Saturday (17 June) when the weather added to the Mediterranean atmosphere. 6 of us ate there on a Friday night and all of us enjoyed it. We all started with a glass of raki followed by a mixture of beautifully cooked and presented food. The service was very good with friendly & attentive staff. One not to be missed.

This is a very good restaurant that happens to be Turkish rather than an exclusively Turkish restaurant. We went to see a concert at the Radlett Centre and had early supper here at 6pm. My wife and I shared a Hummus Kavurma which is a dish of Hummus with lamb and pine nuts with pitta. Very tasty. I had a Chicken & Avocado Salad with mixed salad. A large portion that filled me and was excellent. I asked for a garlic sauce on the side, which was thick and yogurty and much better than the usual runny stuff you get in most Turkish restaurants. My wife had Yaprak Sarma which is stuffed vine leaves with yoghurt and salad. She thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was first class and the waiters very friendly and helpful. Our meal for 2 came to just under £24 + tip. We will definitely go here again when in the area.

Isot is a well run popular local. No big surprises on the menu - everything well prepared, perfectly seasoned and good quality. Won't win any awards for presentation but will for wholesome authentic fresh Turkish cuisine.

Really authentic place, the decor is quite plain but that adds to the charm. It makes a change to have great tasting food at a very reasonable price. I have been here a few times and my favourite dish is the king prawns with vegetables, it comes wrapped up in the foil that it was cooked in...wonderful!!

6 of us ate there last night and were not disappointed. The food was amazing and the service second to none. We started off with a glass of Raki and between us had a variety of dishes all washed down with Turkish wine and a couple of bottles of Efes. We will definitely be going back. My main dish came with rice and I can honestly say it was the best rice I have ever tasted.
