Pink Cafe in Hertsmere

The only reason it was lacking the last star is due to service, all food and drinks where lovely however it took a very long time to arrive and by the time the chips arrived they where cold and not very enjoyable. However the drinks where amazing, shoutout the the barista! Overall i would return

Very noisy and draughty. The door stayed open whenever snyone walked in. Salt beef was very thinly sliced.. not traditional.

The food at this cafe is really excellent. The staff are so welcoming. The owner has her eye on everything all the time to make things run smoothly. It is always full so that proves that the food is food and reasonably priced. One thing I would change is the noise levels are too high. They need to put some acoustic material to deaden the sound even the staff have commented that they cannot hear the customers. Otherwise a wonderful experience everytime we go there.

Delicious food and friendly and efficient service. Our food came quickly despite the restaurant being busy. We can’t wait to return.

Excellent cafe. Lovely decor and welcoming staff. Food was delicious with a good variety to choose from. Ate here back on May 21st so this was a return visit and didn’t disappoint once again, thank you!

Went here for lunch with my friend today. Second visit and again a lovely welcome asking if I would like a drink whilst waiting for my friend, felt very comfortable sitting on my own. The decor is beautiful and the service is brilliant. I had smashed avocado with poached egg, sundries tomatoes and feta cheese which was very nice. Unfortunately an hour after leaving pink, I was violently sick. In not blaming them but I hadn’t eaten anything else which may have caused this. It was a very hot day and all I can think of is the eggs may have been on the turn. Im not going to allow this put me off, but I don’t think I will order the same again. Overall, I love this place.

Started off not great, with the inside being so so warm - we asked to move outside which we did. Also the prices online are more expensive then the menu prices - the waiter said they needed to be updated 🙁. I had the poached eggs and smashed avocado on sour dough toast . My daughter had jacket potato with cheese and tuna filling. Bill came to £32 including service. Overall pretty good but more to do for a 5/5 review

Recently had lunch there and the food was excellent. The restaurant was very busy but the service was good. Also good value. Will definitely eat there again

We have been to The Pink Cafe about a dozen times now and it has never failed to produce a welcome when you enter by all the staff, very good consistent food. The owner is so welcoming and whilst she has been away over Christmas her son has taken on the same attitude. Such a lovely family run restaurant. The atmosphere is good, people are always having a good time. The decor is good, comfortable chairs, children and dogs welcome. We all need welcoming after the last few years and this place has it in spades. Keep up the good work, cooking and atmosphere

I have had lunch on three occasions and each time something different. All very good and delightful staff. Would like them to be open later.

We had two fresh fruit juices with added ginger at a total cost of £11.50. They did not look or taste like fruit juices as they had loads of ice in and were really watery. You could not taste the original juice let alone the ginger (one was a double shot ginger). We initially complained to a male manager (outside) who insisted they were fine. When I went inside to complain a woman, who subsequently said 'this is my place' said they are always made with ice and proceeded to charge the full amount. I paid but said that we will never return. She the offered me a takeaway juice as compensation, which I declined, pointing out any offer should have been made after we complained and before we paid. It is rare we write a poor review. This place is very poor both in terms of quality and customer. Absolutely appalling. We recommend you do NOT go there. We went to Ben's down the road and it was 100% better, pity we didn't go there first.

I arrived before it actually opened, the lady was still putting out chairs and tables. I asked if I could sit down. I was told yes but they had not started cooking yet . I was offered a coffee whilst they finished the opening process. The menu is substantial I chose a cooked breakfast. It was enormous beautifully presented. The coffee was nice and strong. I lovely place to eat ( the view outside is a busy road so not romantic). I sat outside at 08.00 in the morning. A blackboard indicated they sell beer and a selection of cocktails.

Really attractive - pink! - cafe/restaurant on the main road. Spotlessly clean. Charming staff. Good coffee. Highly recommended.
