I’ve been with my family for a lunch menu , it was a good time to spend there! Friendly staff, nice food, definitely coming back

Lovely atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and cocktails too. My husband and I went out for dinner on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed authentic Turkish food. We ordered the mixed grill and chicken shish and chicken beyti combo. Each dish come with rice and a sharing bowl of salad.

Very nice restaurant. Just popped in for a quick bite at lunch time and come out stuffed. Only had lamachen and a pint but was lovely. Definitely coming back for the full works on date night.

Nice food especially the lamb shish lovely atmosphe manager the nicest person ever and has a real passion about food a great experience.

Finally got around to checking out the Turkish Kitchen. Impromptu weekday dinner. Food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. Service was polite, friendly & professional. We will definitely be back again soon!

Bloody delicious! We had mixed grill and everything was tasty. Adana kebab - great! Chicken Beyti - great! Lamb shish - great! Service was convivial: surroundings suitable. Recommend - would definitely return.

My family travelled halfway round the globe to meet our friends in Hertford and stumbled upon this gem that serves authentic and quality turkish food. Mustafa and his team displayed warming hospitality that made us felt at home. The quality and portion of lamb served were impressive and more importantly deliciously well done. Will certainly come back again the next time we’re in Hertford. Best in town!

Nice enough restaurant, but it felt like out of their depth for a large party such as we had. Took a while for drinks to come, and at times glasses were empty, and no server was about to refill or order another. The food was nice, although everything did taste of lamb, even the chicken, so I wonder if they cook everything on the same grill. A nice atmosphere, however, and well lit, unlike some others, which are badly lit. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, however probably could do with a few extra hands when they know a large party is coming.

Came in with high hopes but this was bang average. My lamb was dry and lacked flavour. It wasn’t terrible but at £20 for a shish you expect a certain quality. No bosh.

We had a party of 8 and all were served a more or less the same time and the food was first class.

Took my family for lunch today. Service was really rude. No acknowledgments. No politeness. No Thank you bye when we left. Just felt rude. Kids found it intimidating and uncomfortable. Such a shame I was hoping for them to have a good experience at the restaurant.

Got my husband to take to my favourite restaurant in Hertford for our 16th Anniversary today i never go any where else and Mustafa couldn't do enough for us very attentive caring what a lovely man Thank you left very full and happy 🥰❤️

Food and service were excellent,as usual. We hadn't been for a while and we're perturbed by the 10% service charge added to the bill. We usually leave a tip for the staff,so can the management assure me that the service charge is passed on to the staff?

The Turkish Kitchen is a lovely decorated restaurant with a great inside/outside feel in the summer. We had a late lunch on the set menu which was fantastic value, the service was also fantastic.

Delicious fresh fragrant food, reasonable prices and very large portions. A main meal is definitely enough food on its own. The virgin colada that I had was very good and not overly sweet. That service was fast, the staff were friendly and they weren't overbearing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Lovely food clean and well kept good service

I would 100% recommended this restaurant for a special occasion dinner. I got the Turko Burger and it was the best burger i’ve ever had. My dad got the chicken shish and the flavours made my mouth feel like it was in heaven.

This is a top quality restaurant. Excellent food, good value for money. A variety of dishes to suit a wide range of preferences and an opportunity to sample different dishes from Turkiye. Polite, friendly service.

Ordered dinner for 4 people tonight via deliveroo. No main meals arrived, cannot call Turkish Kitchen as it is engaged for 20 minutes and Deliveroo only offer refund without contacting the restaurant. Very disappointed

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They created a welcoming atmosphere and the food was better than I anticipated.

I was going to give this place 5 stars but unfortunately me and my partner got food poisoning from the lamb. I really didn’t want to write this review as the staff were amazing and the food was soooo tasty but sadly we are not well from it. Your lamb is under cooked. We couldn’t finish our plates. Sorry guys but please be careful next time.

Wow! Visiting Hertford and looking around for something for lunch came upon this restaurant offering a 2 course lunch for £10.00, thought that seemed to good to be true but people were entering and it looked quite full so we decided to give it a try. Wow, we're so glad we did. Fabulous service, fabulous food. I had the spinach and feta samosas they were delicious my husband had the courgette fritter very tasty. Then we had the chicken shish and the izgara kofte. Both served with rice and salad and absolutely delicious. Proper size portions not the usual half size you get on some lunchtime set menus. If it was that good at lunch time imagine how fabulous the evening menu must be. Definitely recommend this restaurant whether for lunch or the evening. Fabulous.

Food portions if you get platters appear large, but there was little meat on the items. Took 4 orders to get one drink, final bill was a shock

Been eating here for years. Lovely food (starter bread basket is amazing!!) but sometimes the portions can be hit or miss and the side salad isn’t always fresh.

Lovely evening, food was great! If I were to have any criticism it felt like they wanted us to go as soon as we'd finished our meal even though it wasn't late and we were still enjoying a drink but it was fine and didn't detract from an enjoyable evening

I enjoyed our visit here. It's not sophisticated and its rather noisy as it gets so busy. But it's busy because people like it and return. Food is good, service was very good, speedy and polite. Not cheap for Turkish, but middle of the road. I've been here a few times now and I'm sure I'll visit again.

Had a midweek lunch here, it was £10 for 2 courses and the food was great. Portion sizes were really big and the staff were so friendly. Will definitely be back.

Never had a bad experience here. Manager and staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Food is lovely, and affordable for the area (though prices have gone up in recent months, no doubt due to the current economy). You don’t need to book during the day, it’s almost always quiet at lunchtime. I would certainly recommend booking if you’re coming for dinner, though, especially on a weekend as it can get quite packed.

Like having a restaurant meal but I'm a takeaway container. Food is very consistent, big portions and always hot. The price may look expensive but it is what you'd get if you ate in there, just packaged in a box and not a plate. The cold mixed mezze is good and quite a big portion. I like that you get rice and salad as most places that sell kebabs charge you extra for the rice anyway.

This was our first time here and we were so impressed. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Excellent value for money and very professional service.

We were early and were given a warm welcome, we were allowed time to settle, chat, order drinks. Food beautifully presented, fresh, tasty ingredients - a great setting for finally celebrating 3 birthdays which had been put off for way too long. Happy to recommend this celebration of flavours.

Really enjoyed the vegetarian moussaka, chips and home made lemonade 😋 I had a chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert and that was very nice too!

Lahmacun wasn't freshly baked, taste like reheated. The meatballs over cooked, almost burnt.

If you have been to a propper turkish restraunt, the likes of those in istanbul that are mimicked in north london you will be disappointed. Given dry bread to start ....with chilli and garlic sauce....no houmus or caclik (erm......just no) then the mains....... no doner available which u can deal with but not when the quality of the rest of thr meat is so poor. No baklava offered at the end nor even a turksih tea. This is for the ignorant, nothing else.

Had a great meal last week. I did go down hill a little a year or two ago but seem to be back on track. Always get better food and service mid week, but that's the same everywhere 💯

I took my partner here this evening for his birthday and the food was amazing! The meat was so soft and tasty and very good portions! On top of that, I asked for lahmacun as a starter because it’s something that I have been craving (pregnant) and our waiter apologised and said they weren’t doing it tonight but was going to see what she could do… they made one for me on the house! As well as desert as well! I think it’s safe to say it should have been my birthday as me and bump got spoilt! Haha will definitely be back again!

Had a lovely lunch here on my birthday. We had the lunch special. £9.00 Starters with fresh bread & dips & main course. NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED... Portions are very big! Took a tray of food home for the kids! Will definitely return.

Very busy, vibrant and can be noisy with large groups celebrating birthdays and hen parties, staff friendly, good sense of humour and extremely hard working. Food was lovely with large portions.

Firstly I would avoid eating here food was not great at all chicken very undercooked then went to bring my children to use the toilet to find it was like an ice rink resulting in my son falling over and having a bruise on his head, then to tell a member of staff and for his response to be its because of your foot wear 😳 no apologies nothing absolute worst experience possible also a £9 lunch deal ended up costing £90 even worse so definitely will not be returning again
