The best restaurants in East of England

Great food and great people, very friendly. Service was great and quick. Couldn't have asked for better. Really enjoyed our Sunday Carvery and will definitely be returning. Thanks again.

So happy to have such an amazing restaurant on my door steps. Went for Taco Tuesday with some delicious options (The Pork being my favourite) if you're in Welwyn garden city it is definitely a place to hit up in the evening usually doing burgers and jerk chicken but honestly something amazing always pops up on the menus!

REAALLLLY good! I had the veg spring rolls, Tom yum with prawns and Chicken Penang Curry. Spring rolls crispy, light and very tasty. Also a good size. Tom yum was bursting with flavour and the prawns were so juicy. Panang was INCREDIBLE. Sauce absolutely bursting with flavour. Loads of Veg in both the soup and the curry and it was so crunchy and fresh. The whole meal was so well balanced and fresh. 10/10

Don’t be put off by appearances. On first sight Stubby’s looks like any old fast food place, but in fact it serves freshly made, delicious pizza, albeit with a thick crust round the outside. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. It’s fairly small and I’d recommend booking in the evening.

A small, friendly coffee shop. There are a couple of seats by the window, but really it’s a take away place. Good coffee. Limited opening hours

My favourite friendly hitchin vino hide away. Love all the staff. Dania Enright your the perfect amount waitress and smiles to compliment gorgeous wine!!!!!!

Truly authentic Italian style cocktail bar. Loved it! We will come here again. Recommend the platters to share and spritz

We went again this week with different friends. Last week one of our party said his sirloin steak was up there with the tastiest he has ever had. Everything was spot on. Not sure about the previous review, we all had the breaded chicken with different spaghetti and sauces and all four were delicious. The mussels special starters were excellent. A decent wine list as well. A lovely family run experience and super value as well. Thank you to all involved.

The lunch we had at Cradle was nearly sublime. Reassuringly one choice only re starter and main. The Carrot & Apple soup was rich and deeply good; the accompanying bread and pickled salad a wonderful treat. Then later, as utterly made to order, the main. I popped into rileys with friends to play pool. Had great food was served by Diane who was very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend visiting Rileys Benfleet

An excellent Italian deli and cafe based in Dunstable the staff are so friendly the coffee excellent and the ham and cheese panini so tasty and a good selection of pasta and fruit and veg to take home

We were excited to find an authentic Greek cafe and not disappointed with our find!! We had Gyros and a pie. The salad that accompanied them both was delicious. The tsatziki was yummy. We stocked up on some goodies to take home. Lovely staff

This little cafe in Gorleston was amazing. We visited here twice this week whilst away on a short break. The food was absolutely outstanding, it was always piping hot and tasted so fresh. The portion sizes were great and a few of us did not like black pudding however we were able to swap for other items which was great as not many places allow you to do this. The owner was so polite and friendly and was happy to stop and have a chat with us. The young girl who took our order was also very polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble! The prices for both the food and drinks were great, drinks very cheap and £8 for a large breakfast! The cafe is dog friendly as well which was great for us as we have 2 small dogs and it’s so difficult to find places that allow dogs. We will definitely be back if we ever visit Gorleston again, best breakfast we’ve ever had!
