The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Yesterday I was treated to afternoon tea. *THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO* The food was locally sourced, freshly made and bloody yummy. The service was out of this world, norhing was too much We sat with a view of the cathedral. My Italian friend had never had afternoon tea before so it was quite exciting to demonstrate the way of eating a scone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 cream first (don't come for me) Please go and support our local business. This is a family run restaurant with good tasty meals on offer, and a Sunday Roast special each week. Also quite often a genuine Pie and Mash day!! The prices are very good, and there is some outside seating available. Give it a try.

I prebooked by email .. communication was brilliant. Service very good and amazing bacon sandwich. Definitely recommend. We’ll 100% come back.

This has got to be one of the best breakfasts we've had. Beautifully cooked, proper scrambled egg, and best of all bubble and squeak. Cooked to perfection. A lovely little cafe. In I could have eaten 2. Definitely recommend. 10 out of 10

This is no longer Ernie's Cafe, its now Curly's cafe. same values still apply:- god VFM food and lots of 80's music vids on the wall mounted TV. service really friendly: it's just if you're looking for Ernies you won't find it

My daughter and I shared a panini and we had a different filling in each end. Best bacon, Brie and cranberry I have had this year. Extremely friendly team . A great find we will be back. All the best for 2024

Love the dishes here everything is fresh and delicious. So nice to have somewhere to get a nice healthy take away breakfast/ lunch on the go or to eat in when I have a bit of extra time after my work out 🤗 Or even grabbing a healthy dinner after work when I just want a takeaway as they serve hot food till 7pm 👍 Open to non members and ample parking !! Currently loving the amazing smoothies with added protein powder after my workout for breakfast simple and easy on the go with all the nutrients and protein needed. Even the juice plan I had here for a post holiday detox was perfect. And Sandra explained and guided me through the process and how to go forward with my meal plans after. Definitely recommend this gorgeous deli and it lovely staff / service and atmosphere Note to SB : address is still showing high st and not leisure centre 🙂

Had a delivery the fish was piping hot fresh crispy batter chips were lovely and fresh curry sauce was nice def recommend

Home made pastaries, desserts, English & Turkish breakfast and rolls beside delicious coffee or tea. It was much more than i expected from a small Van Couldn’t have chance to try all of them but the ones i tried is enough to say perfect. Don’t miss Mosaic Cake which is my fav😉

Delish! Very warming hearty plate of slow cooked pork belly washed down with a tasty rhubarb cider. Breakfast is equally tasty 😋.
