The best restaurants serving British food in East of England

Lovely little cafe, with homemade food. My sister and I had the breakfast, freshly cooked and delicious. Service was excellent. Menu changes daily and Ann made you feel welcome. Good cup of coffee too! Will definitely be going back again.

All the food is home cooked from the scones to the lunches. Nicely set out with spaces in between the tables. Helpful staff and owner. Good place to go for their famous breakfasts, or scone and coffee or a cooked lunch. Inside the Barnby Garden Centre so that is another positive side.

We recently visited this cafe with a friend we have been there before, the couple who run the cafe are very friendly and the food is very good, on a Sunday they do a roast dinner which is very reasonably priced as is all their food, I would recommend a visit if you have not already been, but I would advise you book if you are going for the Sunday roast.

Really lovely take away large tasty fish and crispy fluffy chips was served by a lovely friendly gentleman excellent choice of menu

First visit today and will definitely be back. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had tea and cake yummy. The rhubarb frangipane and cup of leaf tea, cake was to die for and a good cup of leaf tea made nicerdtinking from china cup. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back for something more than cake.

Was lovely surroundings, staff very friendly, amazing cream tea, was advised will do gluten free cream tea if ordered in advance.

Lovely small little coffee shop, delicious produce and friendly, supportive customer service. Be prepared to leave with a smile on your face! Please go and support them in this hard time.

OMG! 😍 We ordered a tiramisu for our daughter’s 21st birthday, Pantry 61 did not disappoint. Penny was great, she made sure that all our requirements were met and was fantastic to deal with. The actual tiramisu tasted AMAZING and was excellent value for money. Thank you so much Penny and Beverley, you made our daughter’s birthday! 🙏❤️

Ordered a jacket potato and it was lovely!! Staff are welcoming and kind, food was cooked really quick and tasted delicious!!!

Lovely staff, great atmosphere, clean and tidy, Great chia latte, lovely little place to buy a coffee and milkshakes, oh and you must try the beer and mustard sausage roll. (beautiful)

My husband and I enjoyed bacon rolls and coffee. Ladies who run it were very friendly. The cafe deserves more customers.

In my opinion, best fish and chip shop takeaway I’ve ever been to always cook it with light batter and fresh for Mum and I superb five star 😊

Found this place couple months ago and it’s now the go to place. I only eat from 2 other places in witham but this is my go to place for good value for money

Lovely ladies run this perfect city spot. The building is beautiful and feels steeped in history. Great lunch, with salads, paninis, soup and cake. Caters for veggies, vegans and guten free. We visit regularly because of the location and ambience. Very chilled and filling!
