The Grove Training Restaurant in Bedford

Just visited The Grove Restaurant for their Christmas menu and the food and service has been excellent, would highly recommend to all. Thanks for a lovely meal! 👍

The Grove is a real treat - the training restaurant within Bradford College. The students produce first class food and the service is excellent. Give it a try on Thursday evenings and you will not be disappointed.

Wow. We came for a birthday celebration meal and were not disappointed. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman who i made us feel welcome. We were shown to our table by Lisa, who again was a lovely and welcoming hostess who took our drinks order and then our food order. The atmosphere was very convivial with gentle music played at a subtle level. The table was decorated with seasonal halloween items and nice linens and flatware. An amuse bouche was served along with some bread and flavoured butter, both of which were nicely presented and tasty. Our main of duck, roasted Mediterranean vegetables and potato dauphinoise was cooked to perfection and worthy of any high end restaurant. Feeling full, we opted for a meringue dessert and a lemon tart. Again this was perfection on a plate. We enjoyed our meal so much that we have booked again for the next week. Well done to all the students both in the kitchen and front of house. Bradford can look forward to some fabulous cuisine in the future.

The waiting staff are all learning the trade but are well supervised and taught. The food is really delicious and very cheap. Definitely recommended.

Last night my husband and I went to the Grove Restaurant for dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. The food we had was delicious,especially the tian of crab and avocado starter, and the confit of duck with five spice jus for our main course.The waiter and waitress were both polite and efficient.We have just returned from a cruise in Australia,and the food we had tonight was better than the food we had on the ship. Well done to everyone for a very enjoyable evening.We will be back again soon.

I'm a regular at the Grove and I've never had a bad meal there. Thanks to it being run by students I can often try new dishes at a low cost and the menu is always creative. The standard of food is very high (one wouldn't think it was prepared by learners, it tastes as great as a restaurant) and the service is polite and attentive. Although the menu is limited, the kitchen is able to adapt it to any dietary requirements, if not catered to already. I really enjoy going there for lunches, both for the relaxed, quiet and friendly atmosphere (perfect chill-down in the middle of a busy working day!) and for the great food (desserts are always amazing, so worth saving a bit of room for, as some main portions can be quite generous). Definitely will come again (and again, and again).

All food cooked by the students under the watchful eye of Paul. Food was excellent and cooked to perfection and value for money, would definitely recommend this to family and friends and hope to go again soon.

Delicious food; amouse bouche, starter, main, palate cleanser and a dessert for £12.95! The restaurant is well presented and has a lovely atmosphere, and the chocolate fondant pudding was amazing! Was perfect for an evening meal, definitely a midweek treat; I am already planning my next visit.

The starter, main, dessert, drinks, and other little nibbles on the table were absolutely amazing. One of the nicest meals I've ever had. Spent less than £15 as well. It's hard to believe this restaurant is based within a College, truly felt like I was dining in a high end London restaurant. The student trainee chefs are lovely, obviously the service is slightly slower than you would get in a 'normal' restaurant but that's to be expected as they are learning after all. Will definitely be coming again!

Came here twice for lunch. The first time I had a crab risotto which was one of the best risotto's I've ever had. On my last visit I had the chicken goujons for a starter which was very tasty and for my main I had a vegetable risotto which again was gorgeous! Would recommend and would visit again!

We went for a meal here last night and it was excellent. The food was superb, delicious, full great flavours and lovely atmosphere!!

My friend and I visited on Thursday evening. I was aware what the menu was as the weekly menu remains the same. We thought it would be no harm trying here as the price was reasonable. The presentation was absolutely splendid. To our surprise, the meal, the sorrounding, the staff and the decor exceeded or expectation. I am visiting this restaurant again very soon.

A lovely place to eat in central Bradford. Great prices and really good food. Very pleasant surroundings and good value at 4 courses for £12.50. Would recommend.

Mi mujer y yo acabamos de volver de otra comida excelente en los 4 campos de Grove de excelente comida por £12.50 por persona. En ningún otro lugar, y este nivel de finos restaurantes, cuatro veces más y más allá del nivel medio. Me sentía un poco extraño al principio ya que parecía demasiado buena para ser verdad y que no tienen conexión con el colegio pero el personal y los estudiantes pronto te hace sentir muy bienvenidos.

i went for a meal with friends before Christmas, the service was excellent & the students were really friendly. The food was nicely cooked & presented with a good choice. It was excellent value for money I would definitely recommend to my friends.

No soy un fan de salir a una cena de Navidad ya que normalmente pensar que he tenido mucho mejor en casa y nunca me juzgar un restaurante por su comida de Navidad, ya que no reflejan sus estándares normales. Así que, ¿por qué ir a la Grove cuando no había presión para hacerlo y lo conseguido evitar todas las otras comidas de Navidad en el restaurante. El menú era diferente e interesante, con una amplia variedad y no pre-pidiendo, que odio. 4 campos excelentes y algo que no han tomado el tiempo para preparar en casa, que en mi caso no pude ya que las aptitudes requeridas. Esta fue una buena comida en su mejor momento. El precio me avergüenza admitir que fue tan sólo 15 libras. Volveré a comer en el Grove tan a menudo como sea posible el próximo año y reservar para la cena de Navidad en la primera oportunidad.
