Boss Hoggs in Chelmsford

I recently found out this place, the staff is very friendly and the food is amazing! I think they do the best kebab in the town and it's already my regular place!!!

The people that work here are soo nice they also give free stuff every now and then I’ve been going here recently and now is my go to place. The food is very good and affordable with very large portions would 100% recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boss Hogg, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met without being intrusive.

Every time we drive home via c Chelmsford , we say we must try this place. Well, today we did! We wonder why we waited so long. The service was spot on, food delicious, and the two guys working there were really friendly and knew their stuff! Thank you! We will return!

Incredible Burgers and a Unique Experience! Boss Hogg at Generals Farm is a must-visit! The burgers are out of this world—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Great food at a very good price

Ive been here three times now, perhaps becoming my guilty treat on my day off! The lads that work here come across nice, can tell they care for health and hygiene. My order is always ready to collect on time and the food is great, The chips are nice and crispy (with plenty of cheese), The bbq bacon burger was perfect and the doner meat for the wrap/pitta is SO GOOD! maybe the best doner meat ive come across and that doner wrap is perfection! Thanks boys, keep doing what you do :)

The food there is always so good! Their chicken grill and chicken strips are the best! 👌

1st time I have stopped here. Tried the Double burger with cheese & onion & Ketchup. Arrived in 5 minutes. Food was hot & well cooked. Was better than b.king & maccy D,s only cost £7.50 with a cold drink . Will defo stop there again.plenty of parking places. Huge selection of food. From burgers to kebabs and everything in between. Friendly pleasent service. Even does box meals for upto 6 people. No toilets. So go in services first. Then go there for food.

Wonderful food as usual, always great service and always have a smile on there face. The food is absolutely delicious and would highly recommend it.

Top tier went with the Mrs and got cheesy chips with meat, staff were amazing and the food was hot and tasty in good portion also would 10000% reccomend

Amazing quality of food, you definitely get the price you pay for. We’ve had breakfast & dinner here. The baguettes are always fresh & so are the ingredients. The chicken salad wrap is amazing & everything tastes so fresh! I would definitely recommend if you’re around Chelmsford!

Taste was nice, but the quantity was very less when I ordered a Chicken shish, for £8.50, which had just one small pita bread. Not worth visiting this place again in my opinion. Complete waste of money.

Not so hidden gem. These lads cook everything fresh so don't expect your food in seconds but its well worth any small wait. Always impressed with the friendly greeting, service amd lovely food.

Decent kebab by Chelmsford standards (nothing can beat the hockley kebab! Iykyk) Nice chilli sauce, large portion, good value, nice flavour meat Small kebab had tiny pitta (which I don't mind) Chips slightly dry (maybe refried?) Will come again

I've just popped in here as I'm staying in the Premier Inn Boreham and was intrigued after reading the reviews. Absolutely fantastic! The guys are extremely cool and friendly and the food is wonderful. I had a kebab wrap with chilli's and onion. Everything was so fresh, it's a shame I'm only staying here for 2 nights. Food is always fresh and tasty. Definitely my favourite chicken tenders. Staff is also friendly and professional. Fun to have a quick chat with while waiting for the food and easy to reach. Highly recommend.

I have been a morning customer of Boss Hoggs for many years now and have always received quality meals. The guys are friendly, efficient and believe in great customer service. Food is cooked fresh to order and the taste reflects this. The majority of customers here are regular 'Returners' who have 'usual' orders. Like me, they are greeted by name and just say 'usual please' ... I cannot praise this small fast food outlet more highly. The difference between a BH burger and one from the nearby main chain restaurant couldn't be more different. The Boss Hoggs burger is quality meat, fresh salad presented between a toasted bun (DELICIOUS) as opposed to warm soggy cardboard (burger and box).. If a bacon baguette is your choice, again the quality gives great taste. The guys are happy to cook your food to how you want it. Crispy bacon.. no problem, fat removed... certainly Sir.. Extra onions.. absolutely... At busy times, you may have to wait a few extra minutes but the guys will tell you before you order. Otherwise, they look to have your order within ten minutes, often much sooner. Go and try Boss Hoggs, I'm sure you won't disagree. Their's is the best breakfast I have found in Chelmsford.

Sometimes you go somewhere that gives you real hope for humanity. This place is exactly that... The guys who work here are TOTAL HEROES!! We pulled with a flat tyre and broken jack. Didn’t even really ask them for help and the next thing we knew they had fixed our jack and were on their backs changing the tyre for us! They gave us a drink and wouldn’t take ANY MONEY for their help. Honestly can’t thank and recommend them enough. PLEASE go here and support some of the best human beings I have met in a very long time. They put the BOSS in BOSS HOGGS!

Disgusting. Recooked old chips and didn’t care. When I challenged the guy he said, try them you might like them. I simply wanted fresh chips not the brown, dried out ones that he dunked back in the fryer. Absolutely gross. Had my money back.

Every now and again you just need a burger that reminds you of the old days. Boss Hoggs reminds me of my nightclub days eating a Jakes Blow Out in Seven Kings. I have mine with egg bacon pineapple cheese onions ketchup and Mayo. LUSH! I’ve no doubt it is made of those ingredients that we don’t discuss BUT it’s a great taste. The ‘chef’ is a nice guy. They always seem to have a steady stream of customers. So we can’t all be wrong.

Lovely food for a roadside cafe/take away hut.... Nice guys running the place. One guys is called Mettin he always looks after you no matter what you order he'll make it... with in reason of course.... But I can't fault the place.... I would recommend it 👌 if you are passing and don't want to eat cardboard sorry Macdonalds....

As it was cold and windy they said to wait in the car and waved me when my order was ready , very promptly. Tasty burger and good service

Driven past this place quite a few times in the past, so thought I'd stop and see what it's like. Ordered a combination kebab, chicken was a little dry, doner was, well, tasteless. So a little disappointed overall. Plenty of fresh salad and chips were tasty but a little limp and chilli sauce was the cheap bottled stuff.
