Well it was my unlucky turned lucky day…unlucky being the fact my car battery died, lucky being the fact it was outside The Art House Cafe!! The super duper ‘not all heroes wear capes’ owner, soon rushed to my aid bearing jump leads and such a warm kindness that restored all my faith in humanity. Of course after my huge embarrassment, I had to have something to eat and drink and this is where I realised that getting a flat battery here was actually the best thing that could have happened. What a discovery! The most delicious club sandwich I have ever had, and an equally tasty flat white. Service impeccable here, both in the cafe and the jump starting field! Just a stones throw from the beach for a stroll after a delightful lunch - what more could you want?! I will definitely be back. Thank you, so very much. I will be recommending to everyone. Wish there were more people like you in the world!

Lovely atmosphere with paintings and other items from local artist available to buy. Spotlessly clean. Not cheap but good value for a very nice lunch. I had the Cromer Crab sandwich (heavenly) and my husband had a chicken sandwich. Both delicious on fresh tasty brown bread with crisps and a side salad. The cakes looked beautiful but sadly we were too full to try them. Friendly service.

Went for a Delicious coffee at 11sies and then returned for lunch - Ruben sandwich was amazing! Accompanied by the freshest salad and a few crisps. One of the best sandwiches I have had in years. Coupled by some very interesting and reasonably priced art and glass projects. Make a point of visiting!

We have visited this little cafe quite a few times on our day trips to Cromer in the last couple of years and have always found the food, service, staff and atmosphere to be spot on. We’ve had morning coffee, brunches, lunches and cakes. Everything without exception has been great and they fully deserve the 5 stars every day of the week. On our latest visit they really went the extra mile to give us a much needed lunch ( delish open sandwich) late in the day, when things had gone a bit awry for us - on our wedding anniversary actually! Though they didn’t know that. This is when you know a business really has got the extra factor that’s missing in so many places these days - care, thought and concern for its customers beyond the norm. This is when a place shows itself to be extra special - going the extra mile, valuing its customers, and being so pleasant about it too. We will be back again this month, and to be honest, apart from a fish and chip supper, it’s our “go to” place in Cromer, and we highly recommend it!

Calling in this morning we were pleasantly surprised to find they were dog friendly and our boy Scamp was treated like a VIP. Such a lovely Cafe, with a super collection of art and the friendliest of welcomes from the owners. Super smooth lattes, seriously yummy sausage rolls and very scrumptious blackberry crumble slice. We shall definitely return and hope to sample their crab sandwiches next time. Thank you so very much.

We were visiting Cromer for the day and liked the look of The Art House Cafe so went in for lunch. We had Prawn Brioche and Smoked Salmon Bagel which were tasty and have no complaints. Coffee was good and overall we were happy with the offering. In other circumstances I would have been happy to have awarded 4 or even 5 stars but the way I saw some potential customers being treated means I couldn’t as it seems that parties of more than 4 won’t be accommodated at the same table here. A group of 5 came in while we were there and were told that they weren’t allowed to put an extra chair on the end of a table for 4. Presuming that it was because it would cause an obstruction at that particular table we offered to swop tables but were told that it wasn’t permitted to move any chairs or tables as that would disrupt the staff’s way of working!! So a group of 5 who would have spent a substantial amount of money went out the door to another establishment. At a time when we are told how tough times are for the hospitality sector it seems strange to turn away trade as it may slightly inconvenience staff. I must add that, to her credit, the girl behind the counter apologised if I thought her rude in the way she refused my offer of moving tables. We noted that at no point during our time there did staff pass where the extra chair would have been but when 3 women came in with 2 very large dogs who spread themselves across the floor, the staff had to take detours to avoid standing on the dogs. Looks like they are happier to accommodate dogs than paying customers.

Having decided to drive to Cromer for the day we were in need of some refreshments and having passed a few cafes already that were either full or did not look too inviting, we came across the Art House Cafe. It immediately drew us in, both to the cheerful artwork and the attention to detail that the staff were paying to everyone. We were promptly greeted and a table cleared/thoroughly sanitised and we made ourselves comfortable. We had some really delicious, lunches (mackerel pate / Ardennes pate / ploughmens / crab & cream cheese on toasted bagel. Blakeney is a village to stop and enjoy Lots of quaint hoses bordering narrow streets bordering a small harbour . A fine example of peace and solitude surrounded by the good things in life

This is what all pubs should be!. Warm, welcoming, great staff, and the food is absolutely faultless. It is our ‘go too’ for lunch, the burgers are amazing, and with home made proper chips!! .

We all had the mega breakfast, it was really tasty with good quality produce used, plenty of toast and tea. Highly recommend this little gem. Service was 1st class.

We had a cream tea ,two doggie ice creams in the courtyard delicious. Also purchased a couple of bits and pieces in the sale, make up bag and door stop. Such good value. Popped into deli tea shop further down the road more expensive but I don’t think any better. Very dog friendly could do with fresh water in the courtyard tiny niggle. I’m use they would have replaced the water if I’d asked. Love the place think it’s great would call again if ever in the area.
